No.573/2013─ Whereas the draft notification bearing No. 25240, dated the 12th August 2013 was published in Form-III of the Odisha Municipal Corporation (Division of City into Wards, Reservation of Seats and Conduct of Election) Rules, 2003 inviting objections and suggestions from all persons interested in respect of the said draft notification showing the division of the area of the Cuttack Municipal Corporation into wards and reservation of seats thereof on or before the date of expiry of the period of ten days; And, whereas, objections or suggestions received within the period so specified have been duly considered; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 60 of the Orissa Municipal Corporation Act,2003 (Odisha Act 11 of 2003), read with sub-rule (5) of rule 3 of the Orissa Municipal Corporation (Division of City into Wards, Reservation of Seats and Conduct of Election) Rules,2003, the Government after consulting the Cuttack Municipal Corporation do here by divide the area of the said Municipal Corporation into 59 (Fifty Nine) wards as specified in column (2) of the Statement –I below with the description and boundaries of the said wards against each in columns (3) and (4) respectively thereof for the purpose of ensuing election of Corporators to the same and determine the wards as specified in column (2) of the Statement–II below in which the seats reserved under section 7 of the said Act shall be set assigned against each in column (3) thereof.

There were complaints that some gamblers are indulging in the Tricity and they are playing and planning to cheat the innocent public by the way of alluring them to put their money on the forthcoming Cricket World Cup-2015. A case FIR No. 17 dated 20.01.2015 u/s 420,120-B IPC and 4&13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in Police Station Sector-19, Chandigarh has been worked out. 2. 12.02.2015 Crime Branch developed secret information that 03 accused persons namely Sanjog Kumar, Sonu Dhane and Sanju were frequently involved in Auto lifting in the tri-city. During the course of investigation, 08 stolen Motor cycles and 03 stolen scooters were recovered on their disclosure solving 11 cases of auto theft registered with different police station of the city. 3. 23.02.2015 Crime Branch of Chandigarh police have arrested five persons and break the nexus of officials of Car dealer agencies, banking officials along with other persons, who got approved the loan for brand new vehicles on the basis of fake and forged documents and sold out the same to the different purchasers and as such they caused wrongful loss lacs of rupees to the banks and the general public. No.442/2008ʊWhereas, the notification of the Government of Orissa in Housing & Urban Development Department No.5874, dated the 18th February 2008 relating to division of the area of Cuttack Municipal Corporation into wards and reservation of seats thereof were challenged before the Hon’ble High Court of Orissa in W.P. (C) No.4159 of 2008 and also in similar other writ petitions and Hon’ble High Court by Judgment and order dated the 15th May 2008 quashed the said notification and directed the State Government to proceed in the matter afresh in accordance with the mandate of sections 7 and 60 as well as sub-rule (3) of rule 4 of the rules and take a fresh decision on the objection of the petitioner in consonance with the aforesaid statutory provisions and keeping in view the principles of consultation as laid down by the apex Court as well as the Madras High Court referred to in the said order of the Hon’ble High Court ; Whereas, pursuant to the said judgment of the Hon’ble High Court, the process relating to division of area of the Cuttack Municipal Corporation into wards and reservation of seats thereof is to commence afresh; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (3) of section 60 of the Orissa Municipal Corporation Act, 2003 (Orissa Act 11 of 2003) read with sub-rule (1) of rule 3 of the Orissa Municipal Corporation

ART & Culture under RDC, CD, Cuttack ******* The jurisdiction of Revenue Divisional Commissioner, Central Division, Cuttack is extended from Puri to Mayurbhanj. The zone of Central Division is comprised of Ten districts such as Balasore, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Khordha, Mayurbhanj, Nayagarh, Puri. This Central Division of RDC has been established on 1957. The Central Division is one of the three RDC Division of Odisha. Mostly coastal districts comes under this Division apart from Mayurbhanj, where tribal culture is predominantly found.
