I am an Advanced Accredited Practising and a lecturer in Nutrition and Dietetics in the Faculty of Health at the University of . I established the Master of Nutrition and Dietetics program at the in 2005 and have been the convener of the Master of Nutrition and Dietetics program for the last 12 years. I am an experienced Clinical and Food Service Dietitian and my research interests are in the areas of malnutrition, aged care, inter-professional learning, work-integrated learning, and dietetics education. I recently completed my PhD entitiled, 'Malnutrition: an under-recognised issue in our ageing population'. I graduated from the in 2000 with a Master of Science (Nutrition and Dietetics).

I have been an active DAA member for my entire career, with my first position as the University of Wollongong Student Representative on the DAA NSW Executive in 1999. Since then I have held a variety of positions within DAA. I have previously been a Director on the DAA Board (2007-2009) and an Alternate Director (2005-2007), Member of the ACT Branch Executive between 2005-2009, and 2011, Member of NSW Branch Executive 2000-2003, including Honorary Treasurer of the NSW Branch Executive 2001-2001 and Chairperson of the NSW Branch Executive 2002-2003. My current DAA roles include; DAA Dietetic Skills Recognition MCQ writer, DAA Dietetics Skills Recognition Examiner, National Conference Abstract Reviewer, and Reviewer for 'Nutrition and Dietetics'.

I have always enjoyed contributing to our professional association and as an active member, previous committee member and previous DAA Director, I have a thorough understanding of the organisational strategy and I am passionate about ensuring our new graduates are equipped with the skills and knowledge to work in emerging areas of practice, to increase member opportunities within these emerging areas of practice, to strengthen member engagement and to continue to advocate to influence government policy.
