TAFE QUEENSLAND DEGREE PATHWAYS 2018 COURSE GUIDE JOB-FOCUSED TRAINING INDUSTRY ENDORSED STUDENT SATISFACTION A NEW STYLE OF LEARNING I chose to do the Bachelor of Applied Fashion because it is a hands-on degree and the teachers and facilities are great. The best part of studying this course is being able to do our own thing and develop our own aesthetic. The teachers help me to follow my new aesthetic in fashion, and pursue this as a career. As part of our course we take part in an internship which has been great. It's been really hands-on and has provided me with experience in a work environment in my industry. Studying the degree has been great for confidence building without having to start from scratch and do a four year degree somewhere else. The best part of this course has been pushing my boundaries and reaping the rewards from the lecturers. I got a lot of hands- on, practical experience. I've also been able to apply the industry experience I already have to the theoretical side of my studies here. My degree has really helped to hone in on my skills, open my eyes to the things I didn't know, and broaden the skills I need for my own projects. The personalisation you get from the TAFE environment is different to other universities. The lecturers here really get to know you. I love studying here.
