View of Croxton Kerrial waterspout on the A607. The spout is fed by the village pond above it and drains back into a stream that runs under the road. Part of an old water system sourced from a local spring which was refurbished in 2003 as part of the Millennium celebrations.

The discovery of Croxton’s medieval manor house, once owned by the Kyriel family who came to with William the Conqueror. The stone lined pit found early in the dig has now been confirmed as the manors garderobe, or toilet. Excavations are continuing and have uncovered substantial walls indicating the main walls of the hall, front doorway and a small drawing room, in which Sir Nicholas de Kyriel would have conducted his private business.
