Review of action points of previous meeting Action Who Status Partners are encouraged to update the FTS using sector specific funding either directly by uploading Partners On-going to the system or sending to the cluster The Afar Region ECC at Semera is officially activated. Partners who wants to cover the gap for the Partners On-going flood response in the region are highly encouraged to communicate with regional ECC Partners were requested to respond to conflict affected people in Guraferda woreda of Bench Partners Sheka zone with blanket and mat. HelpAge, IOM and CRS will take the lead and organize meeting to settle the problem of HelpAge, IOM, CRS Done coordination among partners to avoid duplication of response in the zone. The cluster will share the link for the performance Monitoring Survey form to be filled by partners Cluster Done including field staffs Postponed The cluster will organize a full day Shelter/NFI strategic workshop in the last week of November. Cluster The cluster will circulate email and partners are encouraged to register and assign high/relevant staffs to attend the workshop 2. Information Management Update People reached by Region ESNFI kits 897,269 people displaced either by conflict of by flood reached with the ESNFI kits up to October Emergency Shelter and Repair kits 182,632 returnees have been reached with the repair kits, that include both cash and in-kind items Cash for NFIs or for Rent 111,558 IDPs have been reached with Cash for Rent and Cash for NFIs. Regional and Partners update West Guji and Gedeo Needs/Situation ▪ Recent outbreak of conflict in Konso leading to massive displacement. Almost 95,000 persons displaced as reported. ▪ Dasenech Woreda in South Omo where flood displaced almost 70,000 people. South Omo close to OCHA led Multi- Agency assessment currently in progress . To be completed on 7th Dec 2020 ▪ Displacement issue in Silti Zone where around 10,000 people are displaced by flash flood ▪ Displacement in Guraferda Woreda in West Omo Zone where nearly 7000 people are displaced due to attack on account of their ethnic origin. Challenges ▪ Inclusion and exclusion Errors had been problem during verification. ▪ Security as there was reported in Moyale surrounding kebeles to delay the plan for distribution of 4000 ES kits in Guchi and Arero Woreda. ▪ Limit the withdrawal of Cash not more than 75,000.00 ETB per day as government direct that delay distribution of CASH for local materials to beneficiaries. This has delayed distributions. ▪ Delayed access by the Government for assessment in Konso to provide humanitarian support ▪ Melka Soda IDP needs still not fully met ▪ Birbisa Kojowa and Kercha landslide affected HHs not fully supported ▪ Abaya still has needs from the flood affected caseload Partners update ▪ EECMY-DASSC/CHRISTIAN AID. ▪ GOAL-ET ▪ PIN ▪ IOM 5. Partners and regional update: Somali region Update ▪ The rainfall performance in the Deyrs receiving zones is low. Deyr rains start from Oct and continue to Nov. Only Doolo zone received good rain relatively. The rest of the other zones are dry. The federal NDRMBC circulated drought alert report that shows most parts of the region will be affected. ▪ Regional DRMB Planning to relocate initially around 600 households from Qoloji to Bayaxaw (Karinka) site in Gode woreda, Shabelle zone.. Challenges ▪ A total of 3160 HHs in Madane and Shabeley kebeles in Miesso woreda of Siti zone. newly displaced due to conflict on border areas between Somali and Afar regions are in gap.
