ROSEMARIE LANDRY Soprano Soprano consumada, Rosemarie Landry se ganó los elogios de los críticos musicales como una de las cantantes canadienses más conocidas. Aclamada por su sentido artístico, su versatilidad y su voz dulce, flexible y de un arran que maravilloso, se la describe como "el relevo de los artistas líricos que do minaron la escena de la música clásica de los últimos veinticinco anos". Rosemarie Landry inició sus estudios musicales de piano a la edad de cinco anos y obtuvo bachilleratos en piano y canto en la Universidad de Montreal. Se le otorgó una maestría en canto por la Universidad Laval de Ouebec, don de estudió con Jean-Paul Jeannotte. Sus estudios de canto, iniciados en Montreal bajo la tutela del célebre Bernard Diamant, continuaron en la Es cuela de Opera de la Universidad de Toronto. Seguidamente trabajó en Fran cia y Suiza con el reputado barítono francés Pierre Bernac, colega y amigo del compositor Francis Poulenc. Fue ganadora de numerosos premios y becas, entre otras, de la Asociación de Arte Femenino de Canadá, y ganó en 1 9 7 6 el Primer Premio del Concurso Nacional de Radio Canadá. Madame Landry ha cantado en la mayoría de los escenarios canadienses, en recitales, con conjuntos de música de cámara y orquestas, y en las redes francesas e inglesas de la radio y la televisión de Radio-Canadá. -
