UE “Bellesexport” is a major exporter of the Ministry of Forestry

- UE “Bellesexport” was founded in 1995.

- Property of UE “Bellesexport” is owned by the Republic of Belarus and assigned to enterprises on the basis of the right of economic management.

- The Ministry of Forestry is the state administrative body, governing the economic activity of UE “Bellesexport”

- The primary objective of the enterprise is to facilitate the promotion of the local products in export markets, rendering services in implementation of the foreign economic activity, concluding sales and purchase contracts

- The main function of the enterprise is to act as public agent in the process of promotion of local products in international markets

UE “Bellesexport” is a major exporter of the Ministry of Forestry

Apart from agency service of export of wood products and wholesale trade of imported and local goods UE “Bellesexport” started rendering services of sales of harvested timber in the local market of the Republic of Belarus.

• In 2007 UE “Bellesexport” underwent restructuring through affiliating of unitary enterprise “Belleskhoztekhnika”, subordinate to the Ministry of Forestry. In February 2007 branch-office of UE “Bellesexport” was found in Smolevichy, Region. Its main function is wholesale of local and imported production. UE “Bellesexport” is a major exporter of the Ministry of Forestry

On the bases of branch-office of UE “Bellesexport” in 2012 there was created service center. UE “Bellesexport” concluded a contract with Sampo Rosenlew OY, Finland for providing warranty services and technical maintenance of harvesters on the territory of Belarus, the Finnish partner being committed to assist the service center and facilitate the development of maintenance services in Republic of Belarus.

UE “Bellesexport” offers the following services:

§ Agency services in export of wood products; § Wholesale trade of imported and domestic goods;

§ Sales of harvested timber in local market

§ Sales of goods under commission agreements (commission trade)

§ Warranty and maintenance service of harvesters, supplied by Sampo Rosenlew OY, Finland

• Forest enterprises of the Ministry of Forestry are engaged in manufacturing of rough-sawn timber and wood fuel. 71 saw mills are functioning presently in the forest sector . • They process about 1 mln m3 of timber annually.

• In 2007-2015 there were created more than 50 facilities for production of the wood fuel chips. Foreign economic activity

Forest products and services of Belarusian forestry enterprises are exported to 20 countries. Among the main forest export markets there are Poland (45% of the total export volume in value terms), Latvia (12%), (12%), Germany (12%), China (5%), Romania (6%), Estonia (2%), Austria, the Czech Republic, Azerbaijan, Belgium, and others.

2015 Delivery of sawn timber - + 20 new companies from Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Czech Republic, Estonia, Germany, etc. in volume of more than 118 thousand cubic meters.

Sawn wood - 24 companies in volume of more than 17 thousand cubic meters from Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Czech Republic, Romania, Turkey, Cyprus and others. Growth of export of value-added products

§ According to the Programme of the Ministry of Forestry for 2011-2015 the volume of exported pulpwood, technological raw material and saw logs will show a downtrend by 2015-2016. Forest certification is realized according to the schemes of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and within the framework of the Forest Certification System of the National

Conformity Approval System of the Republic of Belarus recognized by Pan European Forest Council (PEFC).

2011 the Forest Certification System of the National Conformity Approval System of the Republic of Belarus was accredited by Pan European Forest Council (PEFC) regarding the certification of forestry products or their derivatives on the origin. Altogether 94 forest enterprises are certified according to the PEFC schemes. 85 forestry enterprises have valid FSC certificates. Forest certification

In 2009 UE “Bellesexport” was granted FSC Chain of Custody certificate. Thus we verify that products labeled with special FSC code come from responsibly managed forests. FSC Chain of Custody certification allows the tracking of products made of such materials from the forest to the consumer.

In May 2013 UE “Bellesexport” obtained Certificate of compliance for forestry products and their derivatives on the origin according to PEFC- system № BY/112 08.02.075.0666 of 03.05.2013.

In an effort to promote continuous improvement of forest resources management UE “Bellesexport” provides consumers with reliable information regarding origin of forest products from sustainably managed forests according to the Forest certification system of the National Conformity Approval System of the Republic of Belarus.
