Some initial progress has been made through Dementia Awareness sessions: Bethesda Chapel Brownies/Guides Community Café volunteers Leeswood Women’s Guild Luke had discussed with Jo Lane (Dementia Friendly communities Coordinator, Alzheimer’s Society) the best approach for supporting Leeswood & Pontblyddyn (L&P) to receive Dementia Friends accreditation. The proposed approach would be to link with Mold Dementia Friendly Steering Group, to share knowledge, expertise and resources. This approach would enable L&P to work with Mold communications lead, events lead, etc. and the potential to share funding opportunities/events etc. Mold Steering group will cover Mold Luke to confirm approach and surrounding area including Leeswood & Pontblyddyn, Hope, with Mold SG and identify Caergwrle, Gwernaffield, Cilcain, Nannerch, Sychdyn etc and is representative to attend already reaching out to the wider community, working with Alyn Bank L&P SG meeting.
