She was probably of Concord also, and may have been a daughter of Thomas Munroe who had a large family of girls about David's age. He was described as a "tall, fine looking man, very kind-hearted and social in his feelings, well to do in matters of property, owning the farm on which he lived, then quite valuable, and carrying it on up to the time of his death."2 That Brown was a very active and prominent man in town affairs, before and after the Revolution, is attested by the Concord Town Records.
