Love is Here to Stay George Gershwin Let's Call the Whole Thing Off (1898-1937) I Got Rhythrri JUDITH CLINE'S singing has been described as "secure and sumptuous" - her performance as "stylish and sexy."

A graduate of Drake University, the University of Southern California, and Washington University in St. Louis, Dr. Cline has sung in concert halls across the United States, Europe, South America and the Middle East, and with ensembles such as the Richmond Symphony, the St. Louis Symphony Chamber Players, the Emrys Ensemble, Opera Roanoke, and the Roanoke Symphony.

In addition to numerous performances throughout North America, she has presented recitals in South America, Europe, and the Middle East.

Judith has been the recipient of several honors and awards from organizations such as the National Endowment for the Humanities and the National Association of Teachers of Singing. In the 200th year of Franz Schubert's birth, she was chosen for participation in the prestigious International Franz Schubert Institute in Baden bei Wien, Austria.

Cline joined the faculty of Hollins University in 1992, where she serves as chairperson of the Department of Music and Professor of Music.

In collaboration with pianist Michael Sitton, she has released a critically acclaimed CD devoted to the art songs of women compos­ ers, A Sampler in Song, available through amazon. com. CARA ELLEN MODISETT, a piano performance graduate of the James Madison University School of Music, performs regularly as a chamber musician and accompanist in the Roanoke area and beyond, includ­ ing Washington & Lee University, Hollins University, Radford University, Ferrum College and Mill Mountain Theatre . She has also performed under the late com­ poser/conductor Louis Moyse.
