EXPLAINING DISCIPLINE IN NONVIOLENT MOVEMENTS Abstract The purpose of this article is to identify factors, which may influence nonviolent discipline in nonviolent movements. Nonviolent discipline is a critical component in nonviolent movements, but has not received close scholarly attention.
