INTRODUCTION This document is the list of airports included in ACSS TAWS Terrain Database 9100004-025. This document will be revised, and its document number changed, with the release of each new terrain database. The last 3 digits of the number of this document will always be the same as the last 3 digits of the terrain database P/N. 1.1. Purpose This document will allow customer to print a list of the airports contained in the corresponding terrain database. This will permit customers to search the airport list in the cockpit, or other locations without internet access. 1.2. Definition of “Basic” Airport ACSS and Thales have discovered a small number of airports used by some of our customers for which we are unable to obtain maps of the necessary accuracy or detail. In order to allow customers to land at these airports, ACSS and Thales list the airport as “Basic” in the terrain database. Basic Airports are noted with an asterisk (*) in the list below. A “Basic airport” has a cylinder with a radius of 2 Nm and height of 900 feet above the airport which is used to inhibit terrain. GPWS modes 1 and 2 are fully activated in this case to provide protection when on approach to and departure from a basic airport. Predictive alert modes are not available at this point when the aircraft is operating in this cylinder. No DB landing tunnels are constructed on this airport’s runways. Note: ACSS continues to refine and improve our TAWS DB and is diligently working to reduce the number of Basic Airports contained in our TDB. The following ACSS T2CAS and TAWS + Processors are designed to respond to “Basic Airport” terrain database data as defined above: T2CAS Computer Part Numbers: 9000000-10002, -10003, -10004, -10005, -20002, -20003, -20004, - 20005, -55002, -55003, -55004, -55005, -10110 and -11111. Note: All versions of T2CAS currently in development will also support “Basic” airports when those versions are certified. TAWS + Computer Part Numbers: 9000000-80003, -80004, -80006, -85003, -85004, -85006, -90003, - 90004, -95003 and -95004.
