Working with the latest specialised textile design software, our experienced designers can combine their design expertise and technical knowledge to: • create new designs to your unique creative brief • recolour existing products • incorporate local cultural elements into a design • fulfil a complex technical brief of creating designs to specific weights, widths, finishes and performance characteristics Our strong relationships with leading textile mills in Australia and overseas allow for close collaboration throughout the product development process to ensure a consistent and high quality product with reliability of supply. A portion of these fans purposefully and pointedly incorporate the Disney brand into their everyday lives making it their chosen lifestyle. Through social media, they have formed a tight knit community that, for many, has become the nexus of their social lives. Disney fandom, however, is not so straightforward and fans face conflicting pressures as Disney, their fellow fans, and their own personal desires attempt to influence their behaviors and fan practices. Disney pressures fans to unquestioningly promote it, consume as much of its products as possible, and to convince others to do the same. The fan community gatekeeps what it means to be a Disney fan and pressures fans to conform to social norms that can suppress individual expression. Fans themselves want to be completely dedicated to both Disney and their community but simultaneously independent and uninfluenced by both. Rather than choosing any one influence, they find a way to accommodate all parties by situating themselves in a paradox that enables them to continue being fans. They are both independent from and dependent upon Disney, they keep community unity through rejection and angst, and they are able to be better community members and Disney fans by pursuing their own self-interests.

Your students will walk up a ramp to the entrance of the exhibit. On average, most groups will spend about 60 minutes in the exhibit, if interacting with all of the displays. Restrooms are located in the Bartol Atrium. There are no restrooms inside the exhibit and there is no re-entry. No food or beverages are allowed in any of the exhibit galleries. Non-flash photography is permitted in the exhibit. Running through the exhibit is not allowed. Designate a meeting location within the exhibit when you arrive in case someone gets separated. Please do not congregate at the entrance/exit, however, so as to enable other guests to enter and exit easily. America's classrooms, however, are neither culturally nor linguistically monolithic. Instead, they are diverse, and current teaching metaphors do not reflect the linguistic and cultural realities of the classrooms. This paper offers a path through which the linguistic and cultural diversity of American classrooms may be affirmed, all the while assuring that children learn to command Standard English, a key tool required for full participation in the broader society. The paper tracks the story of Rachel's (the second author) journey as a third grade language arts teacher, showing how she moved from a correctionist to a contrastivist model of the language arts classroom. In doing so, the paper first presents evidence that the achievement gap Rachel witnesses in her own classroom and school is seen not only around her state of Virginia, but throughout the nation, across decades.
