In the Name of Allāh, The Most ﺑ ْﺴﻢ ّ اﻟﺮ ْﺣﻤﻦ اﻟﺮ ِﺣﯿﻢ ١ ِ ِ ِ ﱠ َ ِ ﱠ ِ Al hamdu lillaahi rabbil Compassionate, The Most Merciful .2 ‘alameen. 2. All praise belongs to (), the ْاﻟ َﺤ ْﻤﺪُ ِّ َر ِّب ْاﻟﻌَﺎﻟَ ِﻤ َﯿﻦ ٢ 3. Ar-Rahmanir Raheem. Lord of the Worlds. 4. Maaliki yawmuddeen. 3. The Most Merciful, The Most ﱠاﻟﺮ ْﺣ َﻤ ِﻦ ﱠاﻟﺮ ِﺣ ِﯿﻢ ٣ .Compassionate 5. Iyyaaka na’abudu wa iyyaaka 4. Master of the Day of Judgement. َﻣ ِﺎﻟ ِﻚ ﯾَ ْﻮ ِم ِاﻟﺪّ ِﯾﻦ ٤ nesta’een. 5. You alone we worship and You alone we 6. Ihdinas siraatal mustaqeem. seek help (from). ِإﯾﱠ َﺎك ﻧَ ْﻌﺒُﺪُ ِوإﯾﱠ َﺎك ﻧَ ْﺴﺘَ ِﻌ ُﯿﻦ ٥ .Siraatal latheena an ‘amta’ 6. Guide us (O' Lord) to the Straight Path .7 alayhim, Ghairil maghduubi’ 7. The path of those whom You have ِاھﺪﻧَﺎ ِ ّاﻟﺼ َﺮ َاط ُاﻟﻤﺴﺘَ ِﻘ َﯿﻢ ٦ alaihim weleddaaal-leen. bestowed Your favor, not (the path) of those who incur Your wrath, nor (of those) who ِﺻ َﺮ َاط اﻟﱠ ِﺬ َﯾﻦ أَﻧﻌَ َﻤﺖ َﻋﻠَ ِﯿﮭ ْﻢ َﻏ ِﯿﺮ .are astray َاﻟﻤ ُﻐﻀ ِﻮب َﻋﻠَ ِﯿﮭ ْﻢ َوﻻَ ﱠاﻟﻀ ِﺎﻟّ َﯿﻦ ٧

(Surah 112: Al-Ikhlas, Verses 1-4) (Recite 3x) ﺑ ْﺴﻢ ِﷲ ﱠاﻟﺮ ْﺣﻤﻦ ﱠاﻟﺮ ِﺣ ْﯿﻢ Bismillāhi’r Rahmāni’r Rahīm In the Name of Allāh, The Most ِ ِ ِ ِ Qul Huwallāhu Ahad. Compassionate, The Most Merciful .1 2. Allāhu’s Samad. 1. Say! (O Prophet Muhammad): He is ﻗُ ْﻞ ُھ َﻮ اُْ أَ َﺣﺪٌ ١ 3. Lam yalid wa lam yūlad, Allāh, The One. 2. Allāh, The Eternally Besought (everyone اَُ اْ ﱠﻟﺼ َﻤﺪُ ٢ wa lam yakul lahū kufuwen ahad. in need of Him and He needs no one). 3. He begets not, nor is He begotten, and ﻟَﻢ ﯾﻠ ْﺪ وﻟَﻢ ﯾٌﻮﻟَ ْﺪ، وﻟَﻢ ﯾ ُﻜ ْﻦ ﻟَﮫُ ُﻛﻔُﻮا أَﺣﺪٌ ٣ ْ َ ِ َ ْ ْ َ ْ َ ً َ .there is none like Him

(Surah 113: Al-Falaq, Verses 1-5) (Recite 3x) ﺑ ْﺴﻢ ﷲ ﱠاﻟﺮ ْﺣﻤﻦ ﱠاﻟﺮ ِﺣ ْﯿﻢ Bismillāhi’r Rahmāni’r Rahīm In the Name of Allāh, The Most ِ ِ ِ ِ ِ Qul a‘ūthu bi-Rabbbi’l falaq Compassionate, The Most Merciful .1 2. Min sharri mā khalaq 1. Say! (O Prophet Muhammad): I take ﻗُ ْﻞ أَ ُﻋ ْﻮذُ ِﺑ َﺮ ِّب ْاﻟﻔَﻠَ ِﻖ ١ 3. Wa min sharri ghāsiqin ithā refuge with the Lord of the day-break; َ .waqab 2. From the evil of what He has created ِﻣ ْﻦ َﺷ ِّﺮ ﻣﺎَ َﺧﻠ َﻖ ٢ And from the evil of the darkness when it .3 4. wa min sharri’n naffāthāti fi’l gathers. َو ِﻣ ْﻦ َﺷ ِّـﺮ َﻏ ِﺎﺳ ٍﻖ ِإذَا َوﻗَ َﺐ ٣ uqad 4. And from the evil of the ones who blow‘ 5. wa min sharri hāsidin ithā ْ .(on knots (practicing witchcraft َو ِﻣ ْﻦ َﺷ ِّـﺮ اﻟﻨﱠـﻔﱠﺎﺛَ ِﺎت ِﻓﻲ اﻟﻌُﻘَ ِﺪ ٤ hasad 5.And from the evil of the envious when he envies. َو ِﻣ ْﻦ َﺷ ِّﺮ َﺣ ِﺎﺳ ٍﺪ ِإذَا َﺣ َﺴﺪَ ٥ 2 (Surah 114: An-Nas, Verses 1-6) (Recite 3x) ﺑ ْﺴﻢ ﷲ اﻟﺮ ْﺣﻤﻦ اﻟﺮ ِﺣ ْﯿﻢ Bismillāhi’r Rahmāni’r Rahīm. In the Name of Allāh, The Most ِ ِ ِ ﱠ ِ ﱠ ِ Qul a‘ūthu bi-’n-nās. Compassionate, The Most Merciful .1 2. Maliki’n nās. 1.Say! (O Prophet Muhammad): I take refuge ﻗُ ْﻞ أَ ُﻋ ْﻮذُ ِﺑ َﺮ ِّب اﻟﻨﱠﺎس ِ ١ 3. Ilāhi’n nās. with The Lord of Mankind, 4.Min sharri’l weswāsi’l 2. The King of mankind. َﻣ ِﻠ ِﻚ اﻟﻨﱠﺎس ِ ٢ ;The God of mankind .3 khannās. 4.. From the mischief of the Whisperer (of ِإﻟَ ِﮫ اﻟﻨﱠﺎس ِ ٣ (Allathī yuweswisu fī sudūri’n Evil .5 nās. ْ ْ ;(Who withdraws (after his whisper .5 ِﻣ ْﻦ َﺷ ِّﺮ اﻟ َﻮ ْﺳ َﻮا ِس اﻟ َﺨﻨﱠﺎس ِ ٤ ,Min al-jinnati wa’n nās. who whispers in the breasts of mankind.6 6. From among the and mankind. اَﻟﱠ ِﺬ ْي ﯾُ َﻮ ْﺳ ِﻮ ُس ِﻓ ْﻲ ُﺻﺪُ ْو ِر اﻟﻨﱠﺎس ِ ٥

ِﻣ َﻦ ا ْﻟ ِﺠﻨﱠ ِﺔ َواﻟﻨﱠﺎس ِ ٦

(Surah 23: Al-Mu’minun, Verses 97-98) ر ِّب أَ ُﻋﻮذُ ﺑـ َﻚ ِﻣ ْﻦ َھﻤـ َﺰا ِت Rabbi a‘ūthu bika min 97. My Lord! I seek refuge with You from .97 َ ِ َ .hamazāti’sh-shayātīn. the evil suggestions of the اﻟ ﱠﺸﯿَـﺎ ِطﯿ ِﻦ ٩٧ Wa a‘ūthu bika Rabbi an 98. And I seek refuge with You from their .98 َ َ .yahdurūn presence َوأ ُﻋﻮذُ ِﺑ َﻚ َر ِّب أ ْن ﯾَ ْﺤ ُﻀـ ُﺮو ِن ٩٨ (Surah 23: Al-Mu’minun, Verses 115-118) َ َ َ ْ ُ َ ُ Afa-hasibtum annamā 115. Did you then think that We created .115 أ ﻓَ َﺤ ِﺴ ْﺒﺘُ ْﻢ أﻧﱠ َﻤﺎ َﺧﻠﻘﻨَﺎﻛ ْﻢ َﻋﺒَﺜﺎَ َوأﻧﱠﻜ ْﻢ khalaqnākum ‘abathan wa you in vain, and that you would not be ِإﻟَ ْﯿﻨَﺎ ﻻَ ﺗُ ْﺮ َﺟﻌُـ ْﻮن َ ١١٥ ?annakum ilaynā lā turja‘ūn. returned to Us 116. Fa-Ta‘ālallāhu’l Maliku’l 116. But Exalted is Allāh, the True King, ﻓَﺘَﻌَﺎﻟَﻰ ﷲُ ا ْﻟ َﻤ ِﻠ ُﻚ ا ْﻟ َﺤ ﱡﻖ ﻻَ ِإﻟَﮫَ ِإﻻﱠ Haqq, lā ilāha illā Huwa there is no god but He, Lord of the Rabbu’l ‘Arshi’l Karīm. Honoured Throne. ُھﻮ َر ﱡب ا ْﻟﻌَ ْﺮ ِش ا ْﻟ َﻜ ِﺮ ْﯾ ِﻢ ١١٦ َ Wa man yad‘u ma‘Allāhi 117. And whosoever calls upon any other .117 َو َﻣ ْﻦ ﯾَ ْﺪ ُع َﻣ َﻊ ِﷲ ِإﻟَﮭﺎً آ َﺧ َﺮ ﻻَ ,ilāhan ākhar, lā burhāna lahū god besides Allāh has no authority for this bihī, fa innamā hisābuhū ‘inda and his reckoning is with his Lord; ﺑُ ْﺮ َھﺎ َن ﻟَﮫُ ِﺑـ ِﮫ، ﻓَﺈِﻧﱠ َﻤﺎ ِﺣ َﺴـﺎﺑُﮫُ، ِﻋ ْﻨﺪَ Rabbihī, innahū lā yuflihu’l undoubtedly, the non-believers will not be َرﺑّـِ ِﮫ، ِإﻧﱠـﮫُ ﻻَ ﯾُ ْﻔ ِﻠ ُﺢ ا ْﻟ َﻜﺎ ِﻓـ ُﺮ ْو َن ١١٧ .kāfirūn. successful 118. Wa qul Rabbi’ghfir 118. And say (O Prophet Muhammad): My َوﻗُ ْﻞ َر ِّب ا ْﻏ ِﻔ ْﺮ َوا ْر َﺣ ْﻢ َوأَ ْﻧ َﺖ َﺧ ْﯿ ُﺮ wa’rham, wa Anta Khayru’r Lord! Forgive and have mercy, and You Rāhimīn. are the best of those who show mercy. اﻟ ﱠﺮا ِﺣ ِﻤ ْﯿ َﻦ ١١٨

(Surah 30: Ar-Rum, Verses 17-19) ﻓَ ُﺴ ْﺒﺤﺎ َن ﷲ ِﺣ ْﯿ َﻦ ﺗُ ْﻤ ُﺴﻮ َن و ِﺣ ْﯿ َﻦ Fa SubhānAllāhi hīna 17. So glorify Allāh when you reach the .17 َ ِ ْ َ tumsūna wa hīna tusbihūn. time of the evening and the time of the ﺗُ ْﺼ ِﺒ ُﺤ ْﻮ َن ١٧ .Wa lahu’l hamdu fi’s- morning .18 وﻟَﮫُ ا ْﻟﺤﻤﺪُ ﻓﻲ اﻟﺴﻤﻮا ِت واﻷَرض samāwāti wa’l ardi wa 18. And His is the Praise in the heavens َ َ ْ ِ ﱠ َ َ َ ْ ِ ashiyyaw wa hīna tuthirūn. 19. and the earth, and (glorify Him) in the late‘ ْ َو َﻋ ِﺸﯿﺎ َو ِﺣ ْﯿ َﻦ ﺗُﻈ ِﮭ ُﺮ ْو َن ١٨ .Yukhriju’l hayya min al-mayyiti, afternoon and when you reach mid-day ْ ْ ْ ْ wa yukhriju’l mayyita min al- 19. He brings forth the living from the ﯾُﺨ ِﺮ ُج اﻟ َﺤ ﱠﻲ ِﻣ َﻦ اﻟ َﻤ ِﯿّ ِﺖ َوﯾُﺨ ِﺮ ُج hayy, wa yuhyi’l arda ba‘da dead, And He brings forth the dead from ا ْﻟ َﻤ ِﯿّ َﺖ ِﻣ َﻦ ا ْﻟ َﺤ ّﻲِ، َوﯾُ ْﺤﻲِ اﻷَ ْر َض mawtihā, wa kathālika the living, and He gives life to the earth tukhrajūn. after its death, and in like manner you shall ﺑ ْﻌﺪَ ﻣﻮ ِﺗﮭﺎ و َﻛﺬَ ِﻟ َﻚ ﺗُ ْﺨﺮ ُﺟﻮ َن ١٩ َ َ ْ َ َ ِ ْ .(be brought forth (from the dead 3 أَﻋﻮذُ ﺑﺎ اﻟﺴﻤﯿﻊ ا ْﻟﻌﻠﯿﻢ ﻣﻦ ,A‘ūthu Billāhi’s Samī‘i’l ‘Alīm I seek refuge with Allāh, The All-Hearing ُ ْ ِ ِ ﱠ ِ ْ ِ َ ِ ْ ِ ِ َ min ash-shaytāni’r-rajīm The All-Knowing, from , the rejected اﻟ ﱠﺸ ْﯿ َﻄﺎ ِن اﻟ ﱠﺮ ِﺟ ْﯿ ِﻢ .one

(Surah 59: Al-Hashr, Verses 21-24) َ َ ْ ْ َ ْ ُ َ Law anzalnā hātha’l 21. If We had sent down this Qur’ān upon .21 ﻟ ْﻮ أﻧ َﺰﻟﻨَـﺎ َھﺬا اﻟﻘ ْﺮآ َن َﻋﻠﻰ َﺟﺒَ ٍﻞ Qur’āna ‘alā jabalin a mountain you would certainly have seen ﻟَ َﺮأَ ْﯾﺘَﮫُ َﺧﺎ ِﺷﻌًـﺎ ُﻣﺘَ َﺼ ِﺪّ ًﻋﺎ ِﻣ ْﻦ lara’aytahū khāshi‘an it humbled, split asunder out of the fear of ْ ْ ْ َ َ mutasaddi‘an min khashyatillāh, Allāh; and such examples We set forth for َﺧﺸﯿَ ِﺔ ﷲِ، َو ِﺗﻠ َﻚ اﻷ ْﻣﺜﺎ ُل ﻧَ ْﻀ ِﺮﺑُ َﮭﺎ .wa tilka’l amthālu nadribuhā mankind that they may reflect ِﻟﻠﻨﱠﺎ ِس ﻟَﻌَﻠﱠ ُﮭ ْﻢ ﯾَﺘَﻔَ ﱠﻜ ُﺮ ْو َن ٢١ li’nnāsi la‘allahum 22. He is Allāh, there is no god but He, The yatafakkarūn. Knower of the unseen and the seen; He is ُھ َﻮ ﷲُ اﻟﱠ ِﺬ ْي ﻻَ ِإﻟَﮫَ ِإﻻﱠ ُھ َﻮ َﻋﺎ ِﻟ ُﻢ Huwallāhullathī lā ilāha illā The Most Merciful, The Most .22 ْ ﱠ َ .Huwa, Ālimu’l ghaybi wa’sh- Compassionate اﻟﻐَ ْﯿ ِﺐ َواﻟﺸﮭﺎدَ ِة ُھ َﻮ اﻟ ﱠﺮ ْﺣ َﻤ ُﻦ shahādati, Huwa’r Rahmānu’r 23. He is Allāh, there is no god but He, The اﻟ ﱠﺮ ِﺣ ْﯿ ُﻢ ٢٢ Rahīm. King, The Most Holy, The Bestower of 23. Huwallāhullathī lā ilāha illā Peace, The Granter of Security, The ُھ َﻮ ﷲُ اﻟﱠ ِﺬ ْي ﻻَ ِإﻟَﮫَ ِإﻻﱠ ُھ َﻮ ا ْﻟ َﻤ ِﻠ ُﻚ ,Huwa’l Maliku’l Quddūsu’s Guardian, The Mighty, The Compeller ْ ُ َ ْ ْ Salāmu’l Mu’minu’l The Supreme in Greatness; Superior is اﻟﻘﺪﱡ ْو ُس اﻟ ﱠﺴﻼ ُم اﻟ ُﻤ ْﺆ ِﻣـ ُﻦ اﻟ ُﻤ َﮭ ْﯿ ِﻤ ُﻦ Muhayminu’l ‘Azīzu’l Jabbāru’l Allāh beyond what they ascribe as a ا ْﻟﻌَ ِﺰﯾ ُﺰ ا ْﻟ َﺠﺒﱠﺎ ُر ا ْﻟ ُﻤﺘَ َﻜ ِﺒّ ُﺮ، ُﺳ ْﺒ َﺤﺎ َن .(Mutakabbir, SubhānAllāhi partner (with Him ‘amma yushrikūn. 24. He is Allāh, The Creator, The Maker, ﷲِ َﻋ ﱠﻤﺎ ﯾُ ْﺸ ِﺮ ُﻛ ْﻮ َن ٢٣ Huwallāhu’l Khaliqu’l The Shaper; to Him belong the Most .24 ْ ْ ْ Bāriu’l Musawwiru, lahu’l Beautiful Names; all that is in the heavens ُھ َﻮ ﷲُ اﻟ َﺨﺎ ِﻟ ُﻖ اﻟﺒَﺎ ِر ُئ اﻟ ُﻤ َﺼ ِّﻮ ُر، Asmā’ u’l Husnā, yusabbihu and the earth glorifies Him, and He is The ﻟَﮫُ اﻷَ ْﺳ َﻤﺎ ُء ا ْﻟ ُﺤ ْﺴﻨَﻰ، ﯾُ َﺴ ِﺒّ ُﺢ ﻟَﮫُ َﻣﺎ .lahū mā fi’s-samāwāti wa’l-ard, Mighty, The Wise wa Huwa’l ‘Azīzu’l Hakīm ِﻓﻲ اﻟ ﱠﺴ َﻤ َﻮا ِت َواﻷَ ْر ِض، َو ُھ َﻮ ا ْﻟﻌَ ِﺰ ْﯾ ُﺰ ا ْﻟ َﺤ ِﻜﯿ ُﻢ. ٢٤ Dua (3x each) أَﻋﻮذُ ﺑ َﻜﻠﻤﺎت ﷲ اﻟﺘﱠﺎﻣﺎت ﻣ ْﻦ ﺷﺮ A‘ūthu bi-Kalimātillāhi’t- I seek refuge in the complete words of ُ ِ ِ َ ِ ِ ﱠ ِ ِ َ ِّ .tāmmāti min sharri mā khalaq Allāh from the evil in what He has created َﻣﺎ َﺧﻠَ َﻖ. ﺑﺴﻢ ﷲ اﻟﱠﺬي ﻻَ ﯾﻀﺮ ﻣﻊ اﺳﻤﮫ Bismillāhillathī lā yadurru ma‘a In the Name of God, with whose Name ِ ْ ِ ِ ِ ْ َ ُ ﱡ َ َ ْ ِ ِ ,Ismihī shay’un fi’l ardi wa lā nothing on earth or in heaven can harm َﺷ ْﻲ ٌء ِﻓﻲ اْﻷَ ْر ِض َوﻻَ ِﻓﻲ اﻟ ﱠﺴ َﻤﺎ ِء -fi’s-samā, wa Huwa’s Samī‘u’l and He is the All-Hearing, the All ْ .Alīm Knowing‘ َو ُھ َﻮ اﻟ ﱠﺴ ِﻤ ْﯿ ُﻊ اﻟﻌَ ِﻠ ْﯿ ُﻢ . اﻟﱠﻠﮭﻢ إﻧّﻲ أَﻣﺴﯿ ُﺖ ﻣ ْﻨﻚ ﻓﻲ ﻧﻌﻤﺔ Allāhumma innī amsaytu minka O Allāh! Evening comes upon me with ُ ﱠ ِ ِ ْ َ ْ ِ َ ِ ِ ْ َ ٍ fī ni‘matin wa ‘āfiyatin wa sitr, blessings, good health and protection from َو َﻋﺎ ِﻓﯿَ ٍﺔ َو ِﺳﺘْ ٍﺮ، ﻓَﺄَﺗْ ِﻤ ْﻢ ِﻧ ْﻌ َﻤﺘَ َﻚ َﻋﻠَ ﱠﻲ fa atmim ni‘mataka ‘alayya wa You, so bestow upon me complete ْ ْ āfiyataka wa sitraka fi’d-dunyā blessings, good health and protection from‘ َو َﻋﺎ ِﻓﯿَﺘَ َﻚ َو ِﺳﺘ َﺮ َك ِﻓﻲ اﻟﺪﱡﻧﯿَﺎ .wa’l ākhira You, in this world as well as the Hereafter واﻵﺧﺮة. In the mornings, recite: asbahtu instead of) َ ِ َ ِ (amsaytu 4 ﱠ ّ َ ُ ُ ْ ُ ْ Allāhumma innī amsaytu O Allāh! As evening draws upon me I bear اﻟﻠ ُﮭ ﱠﻢ ِإ ِﻧﻲ أ ْﻣ َﺴ ْﯿﺖ أﺷ ِﮭﺪُ َك, َوأﺷ ِﮭﺪُ ush’hiduk, wa ush’hidu testimony before You, and before the َﺣ َﻤﻠَﺔَ َﻋ ْﺮ ِﺷ َﻚ, َو َﻣﻼَ ِﺋ َﻜﺘَ َﻚ, َو َﺟ ِﻤﯿ َﻊ hamalata ‘arshik, wa who carry Your Throne, and all ْ َ ﱠ َ ْ َ َ ﱠ malāikatak, wa jamī‘a khalqik, Your angels, and all of Your creation, that َﺧﻠ ِﻘ َﻚ, أﻧ َﻚ أﻧ َﺖ ﷲُ, ﻻ ِإﻟﮫَ ِإﻻ annaka Antallāh, truly You are Allāh, there is no god but أَ ْﻧ َﺖ, َو ْﺣﺪَ َك ﻻَ َﺷ ِﺮ ْﯾ َﻚ ﻟَ َﻚ, َوأَ ﱠن lā ilāha illā Ant, Wahdaka lā You, The One and Only God without any ُ sharīka lak, wa anna partner, and that truly, Muhammad is Your ُﻣ َﺤ ﱠﻤﺪًا َﻋ ْﺒﺪُ َك َو َر ُﺳﻮﻟ َﻚ. .Muhammad-an ‘Abduka wa servant and Your Prophetic Messenger Rasūluk (Note: In the mornings, recite: asbahtu instead of amsaytu) َ ْ ﱠ ْ َ ً ;Al-hamdu Lillāhi Rabbi’l All Praise is for Allāh, Lord of the worlds اﻟ َﺤ ْﻤﺪُ ِِ َر ِّب اﻟﻌَﺎﻟ ِﻤ ْﯿ َﻦ َﺣ ْﻤﺪا ālamīn, hamdan yuwāfī such complete praise that lives up to His‘ ﯾُ َﻮا ِﻓﻲ ِﻧﻌَ َﻤﮫُ َوﯾُ َﻜﺎ ِﻓ ُﺊ َﻣ ِﺰ ْﯾﺪَهُ. ni‘amah, wa yukāfi’u mazīdah favors and is sufficient (to thank Him) for (any) increase (in His favors). ْ ُ َ َ ُ Āmantu Billāhi’l ‘Athīm I believe in Allāh, The Incomparably آ َﻣﻨﺖ ِﺑﺎِ اﻟﻌَ ِﻈ ْﯿ ِﻢ، َوﻛﻔ ْﺮت wa kafartu bi’l jibti wat-tāghūt, Great, and I reject the sorcerers and the ِﺑﺎ ْﻟ ِﺠ ْﺒ ِﺖ َواﻟ ﱠﻄﺎ ُﻏ ْﻮ ِت، َوا ْﺳﺘَ ْﻤ َﺴ ْﻜ ُﺖ wa’stemsaktu bi’l ‘urwati’l idols, and I hold fast to the firmest ْ ْ ْ َ َ َ ْ َ َ wuthqā, lanfeesāma lahā, handhold, that never breaks, and Allāh is ِﺑﺎﻟﻌُ ْﺮ َو ِة اﻟ ُﻮﺛﻘﻰ، ﻻ اﻧ ِﻔ َﺼﺎ َم ﻟﮭﺎ، .Wallāhu Samī‘un ‘Alīm All-Hearing, All-Knowing َوﷲُ َﺳ ِﻤ ْﯿ ٌﻊ َﻋ ِﻠﯿ ٌﻢ. رﺿﯿ ُﺖ ﺑﺎ رﺑـﺎ، و ﺑﺎﻹﺳﻼَم Radītu Billāhi Rabba, wa bi’l I am content with Allāh as Lord, and with َ ِ ْ ِ ِ َ َ ِ ِ ْ ِ Islāmi dīnā, wa bi Sayyidinā Islām as religion, and with our master ِد ْﯾﻨـًﺎ، َو ِﺑ ُﻤ َﺤ ﱠﻤ ٍﺪ َﺻﻠﱠﻰ ﷲُ َﻋﻠَ ْﯿ ِﮫ Muhammad-in Sallallāhu Sayyidinā Muhammad, may Allāh’s ﱠ ً alayhi wa sallam, Nabiyyan wa blessings and peace be upon him, as a‘ َو َﺳﻠ َﻢ ﻧَ ِﺒﯿﺎ َو َر ُﺳﻮﻻ. .(Rasūlā Prophet and Messenger (of Allāh (Surah 9: At-Tawbah, Verse 129) (7x) ﺣﺴـﺒﻲ ﷲ ﻻَ إﻟَﮫ إﻻَ ُھـﻮ ﻋﻠَﯿـﮫ Hasbiyallāhu lā ilāha illā Huw, Allāh is sufficient for me, there is no god َ ْ ِ َ ُ ِ َ ِ َ َ ْ ِ ,alayhi tawakkaltu wa Huwa but He; in Him do I put my complete trust‘ ﺗَـ َﻮ ﱠﻛ ْﻠ ُﺖ َو ُھـ َﻮ َر ﱡب اﻟﻌَ ْﺮ ِش .Rabbu’l ‘Arshi’l ‘Atheem and He is the Lord of the Great Throne اﻟﻌَ ِﻈ ْﯿـ ِﻢ . (ﺳﺒﻌﺎً) Dua اَﻟﻠﱠﮭﻢ ﺻ ّﻞ ﻋﻠَﻰ ﺳﯿّﺪﻧﺎَ ﻣﺤﻤ ٍﺪ وآﻟﮫ Allāhumma salli ‘alā Sayyidinā O Allāh! Bless our master Muhammad, and ُ ﱠ َ ِ َ َ ِ ِ ُ َ ﱠ َ ِ ِ Muhammad-in, wa ālihī wa his Family, and his Companions, and َو َﺻ ْﺤ ِﺒ ِﮫ َو َﺳ ِﻠّ ْﻢ . ( َﻋﺸ ًﺮا) .sahbihī wa sallim (10x) bestow peace upon them اَﻟﻠﱠﮭﻢ إ ِﻧّﻲ أَ ْﺳﺄَﻟُ َﻚ ِﻣ ْﻦ ﻓُﺠﺎءة ا ْﻟ َﺨ ْﯿﺮ، Allāhumma innī as’aluka min O Allāh! I implore you for good and ُ ﱠ ِ َ َ ِ ِ fujā’ati’l khayr wa a‘ūdhu bika sudden surprises, and I seek refuge in You َوأَ ُﻋﻮذُ ِﺑ َﻚ ِﻣ ْﻦ ﻓُ َﺠﺎ َء ِة اﻟ ﱠﺸ ِّﺮ. .min fujā’atish-sharr (1x) from bad surprises اَﻟﻠﱠﮭﻢ أَ ْﻧﺖ رﺑّﻲ ﻻَ إﻟَﮫ إﻻﱠ أَ ْﻧﺖ Allāhumma Anta Rabbī, lā ilāha O Allāh! You are my Lord. None is to be ُ ﱠ َ َ ِ ِ َ ِ َ illā Ant, khalaqtanī wa anā worshipped but You. You created me and I َﺧﻠَ ْﻘﺘَ ِﻨ ْﻲ، َوأَﻧﺎَ َﻋ ْﺒﺪُ َك، َوأَﻧﺎَ َﻋﻠَﻰ abduk, wa anā ‘alā ‘ahdika wa am Your servant, and I am faithful to Your‘ َﻋ ْﮭ ِﺪ َك َو َو ْﻋ ِﺪ َك َﻣﺎ ا ْﺳﺘَ َﻄ ْﻌ ُﺖ . wa‘dika ma’statat, a‘ūdhu bika and Your promise as much as I أَﻋﻮذُ ﺑـﻚ ﻣ ْﻦ َﺷﺮ ﻣـﺎ ﺻﻨَﻌـ ُﺖ، min sharri mā sana‘t, abū’u laka can. I seek refuge with You from the evil ُ ْ ِ َ ِ ِّ َ َ ْ bi ni‘matika ‘alay, wa abū’u bi of what I have done. I acknowledge before أَﺑُ ْﻮ ُء ﻟَ َﻚ ِﺑ ِﻨ ْﻌ َﻤ ِﺘ َﻚ َﻋﻠَ ﱠﻲ، َوأَﺑُ ْﻮ ُء dhanbī, fa’ghfir lī fa innahū lā You all the blessings You have bestowed ِﺑﺬَ ْﻧ ِﺒ ْﻲ ﻓﺎَ ْﻏ ِﻔ ْﺮ ِﻟ ْﻲ، ﻓَ ِﺎﻧﱠﮫُ ﻻَ ﯾَ ْﻐ ِﻔ ُﺮ yaghfiru’dh-dhunūba illā An upon me, and I confess to You my sins, so اﻟﺬﱡﻧُﻮب إﻻﱠ أَ ْﻧ َﺖ. 1x) forgive me, for truly, nobody can forgive) ْ َ ِ .sins except You 5 اَﻟﻠﱠﮭـﻢ أَ ْﻧﺖ رﺑﻲ، ﻻَ ِاﻟَﮫ إﻻﱠ أَ ْﻧﺖ، Allāhumma Anta Rabbī lā ilāha O Allāh! You are my Lord, there is no god ُ ﱠ َ َ ِّ ْ َ َ ,illā Anta‘alayka tawakkaltu wa but You. I put my complete trust in You َﻋﻠَ ْﯿ َﻚ ﺗَ َﻮ ﱠﻛ ْﻠـ ُﺖ، َوأَ ْﻧ َﺖ َر ﱡب .Anta Rabbu’l ‘Arshi’l ‘Atheem and You are The Lord of the Great Throne ا ْﻟﻌَـ ْﺮ ِش ا ْﻟﻌَ ِﻈ ْﯿـ ِﻢ. (1x) ﻣﺎ َﺷﺎء ﷲ َﻛـﺎن، وﻣﺎ ﻟَﻢ ﯾ َﺸﺄْ ﻟَـﻢ ;Mā shā Allāhu kān, wa mā lam What Allāh wishes, happens َ َ ُ َ َ َ ْ َ ْ yasha’ lam yakun, wa lā hawla and what He does not wish, does not ﯾَ ُﻜ ْﻦ، َوﻻَ َﺣـ ْﻮ َل َوﻻَ ﻗُ ﱠﻮةَ ِإﻻﱠ ِﺑﺎِ wa lā quwwata illā Billāhi’l happen; and there is no power and no ا ْﻟﻌَ ِﻠ ّﻲِ ا ْﻟﻌَ ِﻈ ْﯿ ِﻢ. ,Aliyyi’l ‘Azīm (1x) strength except with Allāh, The Most High‘ The Incomparably Great. اَﻋﻠَـﻢ أَ ﱠن ﷲ ﻋﻠَﻰ ُﻛ ّﻞ ﺷﻲء A‘lamu Annallāha ‘alā kulli I know that indeed Allāh is Powerful over ْ ُ َ َ ِ َ ْ ٍ shay’in Qadīr, wa Annallāha all things, and that indeed Allāh ﻗَ ِﺪ ْﯾـ ٌﺮ، َواَ ﱠن ﷲَ ﻗَ ْﺪ أَ َﺣـﺎ َط ِﺑ ُﻜ ِّﻞ .qad ahāta bi kulli shay’in ‘ilmā encompasses all things in His Knowledge َﺷ ْﻲ ٍء ِﻋ ْﻠ ًﻤـﺎ. (1x) اَﻟﻠﱠﮭﻢ إﻧّﻲ أَﻋﻮذُ ﺑـﻚ ﻣ ْﻦ َﺷﺮ Allāhumma innī a‘ūdhu bika min O’ Allāh! I seek Your protection from the ُ ﱠ ِ ِ ُ ْ ِ َ ِ ِّ sharri nafsī, wa min sharri kulli evil of my soul, and from the evil of every ﻧَ ْﻔ ِﺴ ْﻲ، َو ِﻣ ْﻦ َﺷ ِّﺮ ُﻛـ ِّﻞ دَاﺑﱠـ ٍﺔ أَ ْﻧ َﺖ dābbatin Anta ākhithun bi moving creature You have taken by the آ ِﺧـﺬٌ ِﺑﻨَﺎ ِﺻﯿَ ِﺘﮭﺎَ، ِإ ﱠن َر ِﺑ ّﻲِ َﻋﻠَﻰ nāsiyatihā, inna Rabbī ‘alā forelock. Indeed, it is my Lord Who is on ِﺻ َﺮا ٍط ُﻣ ْﺴﺘَ ِﻘ ْﯿ ٍﻢ. .(Sirātin Mustaqīm (1x) the Straight Path (of truth and justice ﯾﺎ ﺣﻲ ﯾﺎ ﻗَﯿﻮم، ﺑﺮﺣﻤﺘﻚ Yā Hayyu Yā Qayyūm bi O’ The Ever-Living, The Self-Existing by َ َ ﱡ َ ﱡ ْ ُ ِ َ ْ َ ِ َ Rahmatika astaghīth,wa min Whom all exist, I cry out to Your mercy اَ ْﺳﺘَ ِﻐ ْﯿ ُﺚ، َو ِﻣ ْﻦ َﻋﺬَا ِﺑ َﻚ أَ ْﺳﺘَ ِﺠ ْﯿ ُﺮ. adhābika astajīr, aslih lī sha’nī for help. And from Your punishment I seek‘ أَ ْﺻ ِﻠ ْﺢ ِﻟ ْﻲ َﺷﺄْ ِﻧ ْﻲ ُﻛﻠﱠﮫُ، َوﻻَ ﺗَ ِﻜ ْﻠ ِﻨ ْﻲ ,kullah, wa lā takilnī ilā nafsī wa protection. Make righteous all my affairs إﻟَﻲ ﻧَ ْﻔﺴﻲ, وﻻَ إﻟَﻰ أَﺣ ٍﺪ ﻣ ْﻦ َﺧ ْﻠﻘﻚ lā ilā ahadin min khalqika and do not leave me to myself, or to ِ ِ ْ َ ِ َ ِ ِ َ tarfata ‘ayn. (1x) anyone from Your creation, even for the َط ْﺮﻓَﺔَ َﻋ ْﯿ ٍﻦ. .blink of an eye اَﻟﻠﱠﮭﻢ إﻧّﻲ أَﻋﻮذُ ﺑﻚ ﻣﻦ ا ْﻟﮭﻢ Allāhumma innī a‘ūdhu bika O Allāh! I seek refuge in You from anxiety ُ ﱠ ِ ِ ْ ُ ْ ِ َ ِ َ َ ِّ mina’l hammi wa’l hazan, wa and grief. And I seek refuge in You from َوا ْﻟ َﺤ َﺰ ِن، َوأَ ُﻋ ْﻮذُ ِﺑ َﻚ ِﻣ َﻦ ا ْﻟﻌَ ْﺠ ِﺰ a‘ūdhu bika mina’l-‘ajzi wa’l weakness and laziness. And I seek refuge َوا ْﻟ َﻜ َﺴ ِﻞ، وأَ ُﻋ ْﻮذُ ِﺑ َﻚ ِﻣ َﻦ ا ْﻟ ُﺠ ْﺒ ِﻦ kasal, wa a‘ūdhu bika minal in You from cowardice and stinginess. And وا ْﻟﺒ ْﺨﻞ، وأَﻋﻮذُ ﺑﻚ ﻣ ْﻦ َﻏﻠَﺒﺔ jubni wa’l bukhl, wa a‘ūdhu bika I seek refuge in You from being َ ُ ِ َ ُ ْ ِ َ ِ َ ِ min ghalabati’d dayn wa overwhelmed by debt, and the tyranny of اﻟﺪﱠ ْﯾ ِﻦ َوﻗَ ْﮭ ِﺮ اﻟ ِّﺮ َﺟﺎ ِل. .qahri’r-rijāl (1x) men اَﻟﻠﱠﮭﻢ إﻧّﻲ أَﺳﺄَﻟُﻚ ا ْﻟﻌﺎﻓﯿﺔَ، ﻓﻲ اﻟﺪﱡ ْﻧﯿﺎ Allāhumma innī O Allāh! I seek of You well-being in this ُ ﱠ ِ ِ ْ َ َ ِ َ ِ َ .as’aluka’l‘āfiya, fi’d-dunyā wa’l world as well as in the Hereafter َواﻵ ِﺧ َﺮ ِة. (akhirah (1x اَﻟﻠﱠﮭﻢ إﻧّﻲ أَﺳﺄَﻟُﻚ ا ْﻟﻌ ْﻔﻮ وا ْﻟﻌـﺎﻓﯿﺔَ، Allāhumma innī as’aluka’l ‘afwa O Allāh! I ask of You pardon, well-being ُ ﱠ ِ ِ ْ َ َ َ َ َ ِ َ wa’l ‘āfiya, wa’l mu‘āfāta’d- and continuous safety, in my religion, my َوا ْﻟ َﻤﻌَﺎﻓﺎَةَ اﻟﺪﱠا ِﺋ َﻤﺔَ، ِﻓﻲ ِد ْﯾ ِﻨ ْﻲ .dā’imata fī dīnī wa dunyāya wa daily life, my family and my possessions َودُ ْﻧﯿﺎَ َي َوأَ ْھ ِﻠ ْﻲ َوﻣﺎَِﻟ ْﻲ. (ahlī wa mālī (1x اَﻟﻠﱠﮭﻢ ا ْﺳﺘُﺮﻋﻮرا ِﺗﻲ وآ ِﻣ ْﻦ روﻋﺎ ِﺗﻲ Allāhumma’stur ‘awrātī, wa O Allāh! Cover my shame and calm my ُ ﱠ ْ َ ْ َ ْ َ َ ْ َ ْ .āmin raw‘ātī (1x) fears اَﻟﻠﱠﮭﻢ اﺣﻔَ ْﻈﻨﻲ ﻣ ْﻦ ﺑﯿﻦ ﯾﺪي, وﻣ ْﻦ Allāhummahfathnī min bayni O Allāh! Safeguard me from in front of me ُ ﱠ ْ ِ ْ ِ َ ْ ِ َ َ ﱠ َ ِ yaday, wa min khalfī wa ‘an and from behind me, and from my right َﺧ ْﻠ ِﻔ ْﻲ, َو َﻋ ْﻦ ﯾَ ِﻤ ْﯿ ِﻨ ْﻲ, َو َﻋ ْﻦ ِﺷﻤﺎَِﻟ ْﻲ, yamīnī,, wa ‘an shimālī, wa min and from my left, and from above me, and َو ِﻣ ْﻦ ﻓَ ْﻮ ِﻗ ْﻲ، َوأَ ُﻋ ْﻮذُ ِﺑﻌَ َﻈ َﻤ ِﺘ َﻚ أَ ْن fawqī, wa a‘ūdhu bi ‘azamatika I seek refuge in Your Greatness from an ughtāla min tahtī (1x) unexpected harm from below me. أُ ْﻏﺘﺎَ َل ِﻣ ْﻦ ﺗَ ْﺤ ِﺘ ْﻲ. 6 اَﻟﻠﱠﮭـﻢ أَ ْﻧﺖ َﺧﻠَ ْﻘﺘَﻨـﻲ، وأَ ْﻧﺖ Allāhumma Anta khalaqtanī wa O Allāh! You created me, and You guide ُ ﱠ َ ِ ْ َ َ Anta tahdīnī wa Anta tut‘imunī me, and You provide me with food, and ﺗَ ْﮭ ِﺪ ْﯾ ِﻨـ ْﻲ، َوأَ ْﻧ َﺖ ﺗُ ْﻄ ِﻌ ُﻤ ِﻨـ ْﻲ َوأَ ْﻧ َﺖ wa Anta tasqīnī wa Anta You provide me with drink, and You shall ﺗَ ْﺴ ِﻘ ْﯿ ِﻨـ ْﻲ، َوأَ ْﻧ َﺖ ﺗُ ِﻤ ْﯿﺘُ ِﻨـﻲ، َوأَ ْﻧ َﺖ .tumītunī wa Anta tuhyīnī (1x) cause me to die, and You give me life ﺗُ ْﺤ ِﯿ ْﯿ ِﻨـ ْﻲ. أَﻣﺴﯿﻨَﺎ ﻋﻠَﻰ ﻓ ْﻄﺮة اْﻹﺳﻼَم، Amsaynā ‘alā fitrati’l Islām, wa We have reached the evening on the ْ َ ْ َ ِ َ ِ ِ ْ ِ alā Kalimati’l Ikhlās, wa ‘alā original pattern of Islām, and on the Word‘ َو َﻋﻠَﻰ َﻛ ِﻠ َﻤ ِﺔ اْ ِﻹ ْﺧﻼَ ِص، َو َﻋﻠَﻰ dīni Nabiyyinā Muhammad-in, of Sincerity, and on the religion of our ِد ْﯾ ِﻦ ﻧَ ِﺒ ِﯿّﻨﺎَ ُﻣ َﺤ ﱠﻤ ٍﺪ َﺻﻠﱠﻰ ﷲُ َﻋﻠَ ْﯿ ِﮫ Sallallāhu ‘alayhi wa ālihi wa Prophet Muhammad, may Allāh’s وآﻟﮫ وﺳﻠﱠﻢ، وﻋﻠَﻰ ﻣﻠﱠﺔ أَﺑ ْﯿﻨَﺎ sallam, wa ‘alā millati abīnā blessings and peace be upon him and his َ ِ ِ َ َ َ َ َ ِ ِ ِ Ibrāhīma Hanīfan Muslima, wa Family, and on the creed of our fore-father ِإ ْﺑﺮاَ ِھ ْﯿ َﻢ َﺣ ِﻨ ْﯿﻔﺎً ُﻣ ْﺴ ِﻠﻤﺎً، َوﻣﺎَ ﻛﺎَ َن mā kāna min al-mushrikīn (1x) (Prophet) Ibrāhīm who was upright, a ْ ْ .In the mornings, recite: Asbahnā instead of Muslim, and not an idolater) ِﻣ َﻦ اﻟ ُﻤﺸ ِﺮ ِﻛ ْﯿ َﻦ (Amsaynā اَﻟﻠﱠﮭﻢ ﺑﻚ أَﺻﺒﺤﻨَﺎ، وﺑﻚ أَﻣﺴ ْﯿﻨَﺎ، Allāhumma bika asbahnā, wa O Allāh! By Your wish we have arisen this ُ ﱠ ِ َ ْ َ ْ َ ِ َ ْ َ bika amsaynā, wa bika nahyā wa morning; and by Your wish we come to the َو ِﺑ َﻚ ﻧَ ْﺤﯿَﺎ، َو ِﺑ َﻚ ﻧَ ُﻤ ْﻮ ُت، َو ِإﻟَ ْﯿ َﻚ bika namūt, wa ilaykal maseer evening, and by Your will we live, and by اَ ْﻟ َﻤ ِﺼ ْﯿ ِﺮ 1x) (Note: In the mornings, recite: wa Your will, we die; and to You is the final) ilayka’n nushūr, instead of wa ilaykal destination (on the Day of Judgment). maseer) أَﻣﺴﯿﻨَﺎ وأَﻣﺴﻰ ا ْﻟﻤ ْﻠ ُﻚ ﱠ، وا ْﻟﺤﻤﺪُ Amsaynā wa amsa’l mulku We have entered upon the evening and the ْ َ ْ َ ْ َ ُ ِ ِ َ َ ْ Lillāh, wa’l hamdu Lillāhi dominion belongs to Allah; and all Praise ِ َر ِّب ا ْﻟﻌﺎَﻟَ ِﻤ ْﯿ َﻦ. .Rabbi’l ‘ālamīn (1x) is for Allāh, Lord of the worlds (Note: In the mornings, recite: Asbahnā wa asbaha’l mulku, instead of Amsaynā wa amsa’l mulku) اﻟﻠّﮭـﻢ إﻧّـﻲ أﺳـﺄَﻟُـﻚ َﺧـ ْﯿﺮ ھـﺬه Allāhumma innī as’aluka khayra O Allāh! I ask of You (to give me) the ُ ﱠ ِ ِ ْ َ َ ِ (hātheehee’l layla, Fet-haha wa goodness of this night, its (spiritual اﻟﻠﱠـ ْﯿﻠَﺔ، ﻓَﺘْ َﺤﮭـﺎ، َوﻧَ ْﺼـ َﺮھـﺎ، nasraha, wa nūraha wa openings, its help, its light, its blessings وﻧـﻮ َرھـﺎ وﺑَـ َﺮ َﻛﺘَـﮭـﺎ، و ُھـﺪاھـﺎ .barakataha wa hudāha (1x) and right guidance َ َ َ -In the mornings, recite: hādha’l yawm, fet) hahū wa nasrahū wa nūrahū wa barakatahū wa hudāhu) اَﻟﻠﱠﮭﻢ ﻣﺎَ أَﻣﺴﻰ ﺑﻲ ﻣ ْﻦ ﻧﻌﻤﺔ أَو Allāhumma mā amsā be min O Allāh! Whatever favors I or anyone else ُ ﱠ ْ َ ِ ْ ِ ِ ْ َ ٍ ْ ni‘matin aw be ahadin min in Your creation received this evening are ِﺑﺄَ َﺣـ ٍﺪ ِﻣ ْﻦ َﺧ ْﻠ ِﻘ َﻚ، ﻓَ ِﻤ ْﻨ َﻚ َو ْﺣﺪَ َك khalqiq, fa minka wahdaka lā from You Alone, without any partner (or ﻻَ َﺷ ِﺮ ْﯾ َﻚ ﻟَ َﻚ، ﻓَﻠَ َﻚ ا ْﻟ َﺤ ْﻤﺪُ َوﻟَ َﻚ sharīka lak, falaka’l Hamdu any association). So for You belongs praise اﻟ ﱡﺸ ْﻜﺮ ﻋﻠَﻰ ذَ ِﻟ َﻚ. .walaka’sh shukru ‘alā thālik and for You belongs thanks for that ُ َ :1x) (In the mornings, recite) asbaha instead of amsā) ﺳﺒﺤﺎن رﺑﻰ ا ْﻟﻌﻈﯿﻢ Subhana Rabi el-Atheem (9x) Glory be to Allah, The Incomparably Great ُ ْ َ َ َ ِّ َ َ ِ ْ ِ (The Absolute Greatest) (We recite this in Ruku, the bowing position when our backs are flat and our eyes face the floor when we pray.) ﺳ ْﺒﺤﺎن رﺑّﻰ اﻷَﻋﻠَﻰ Subhana Rabi el-a’la (9x) Glory be to Allah, The Most High ُ َ َ َ ِ َ ْ We recite this in Sajdah, the prostrating position when) our forehead touches the floor when we pray) ﺳﺒﺤﺎن ﷲ ا ْﻟﻌﻈﯿﻢ وﺑﺤﻤﺪه SubhānAllāhi’l ‘Atheem wa bi Glorified is Allāh, The Incomparably ُ ْ َ َ ِ َ ِ ْ ِ َ ِ َ ْ ِ ِ .Hamdihī (3x) Great, by His Own Praise ﺳ ْﺒﺤﺎن ﷲ، وا ْﻟﺤﻤﺪُ ، وﻻَ إﻟَﮫ SubhānAllāh, wa’l Hamdu Glorified is Allāh, and all Praise is for ُ َ َ ِ َ َ ْ ِ َ ِ َ Lillāh, wa lā ilāha Illallāh, Allāh, and there is no deity worthy of ِإﻻَ ﷲُ، َوﷲُ أَ ْﻛﺒَ ُﺮ. Wallāhu (9x) worship but Allāh, and Allāh is The Greatest (Greater than all things). 7 ﻻَ إﻟَﮫ إﻻﱠ ﷲ وﺣـﺪه ﻻَ ﺷﺮﯾـﻚ ﻟَﮫُ، .Lā ilāha Illallāh, There is no god but Allāh ِ َ ِ ُ َ ْ َ ُ َ ِ ْ َ Wahdahū lā sharīka lah, He is One, there is no partner (or ﻟَﮫُ ا ْﻟ ُﻤ ْﻠـ ُﻚ َوﻟَﮫُ ا ْﻟ َﺤ ْﻤـﺪُ َو ُھ َﻮ َﻋﻠَﻰ lahu’l Mulku wa lahu’l Hamd, association) with him. His is the Kingdom ُﻛ ِّﻞ َﺷ ْﻲ ٍء ﻗَ ِﺪ ْﯾ ٌﺮ. ,wa Huwa ‘alā kulli shay’in and His is the Praise Qadīr (9x) and He is Powerful over all things. َﻻ ﺣﻮل و َﻻ ﻗُﻮةَ إﻻﱠ ﺑﺎ ﱠ La Hawla wala Quwwata il-la There is neither strength nor power except َ ْ َ َ ﱠ ِ ِ ِ .bil-lah (9x) with Allah أﺳﺘَ ْﻐﻔﺮ ﱠ و أﺗُﻮب إﻟَﯿﮫ Astaghfirullaha wa atūūbu ilia I seek the forgiveness of Allah and repent ْ ِ ُ َ َ ُ ْ ِ .3x) to Him) رﺑﱠﻨَﺎ آﺗﻨَﺎ ﻓﻲ اﻟﺪﱡ ْﻧﯿﺎ ﺣﺴﻨَﺔً وﻓﻲ ,Rabbana Atina fid-dunya O’ our Lord, give us good in this world َ ِ ِ َ َ َ َ ِ hasana, wafil- Akhirati hasna, and the good of the life hereafter, and save اﻵ ِﺧ َﺮ ِة َﺣ َﺴﻨَﺔً َو ِﻗﻨَﺎ َﻋﺬَا َب اﻟﻨﱠﺎ ِر .waqina athaban nar. (3x) us from the punishment of the -fire اﻟﻠﱠﮭﻢ أﻋﻨﱠﺎ ﻋﻠَﻰ ذ ْﻛﺮك، و ُﺷ ْﻜﺮك، Alahumma a'inna ala thikrika O’ Allah, assist me in remembering You ُ ﱠ ِ َ ِ ِ َ َ ِ َ wa shukrika wa hus nee ibadatik and being grateful to You and performing َو ُﺣ ْﺴ ِﻦ ِﻋﺒَﺎدَ ِﺗ َﻚ .3x) Your worship in an excellent manner) Allahumma innaka afu wun, O’ Allah, you are The Pardoner, you love اﻟ ْﻠ ُﮭ ﱠﻢ ِإﻧﱠ َﻚ َﻋﻔُ ﱞﻮ ﺗُ ِﺤ ﱡﺐ ا ْﻟﻌَ ْﻔ َﻮ ﻓَﺎ ْﻋ ُﻒ .tuhibul affwa, fa’ fu annee to pardon, so pardon me َﻋ ِﻨّﻲ Allahummagh-firlee, O' my Lord! Forgive me, have mercy upon اَﻟﻠﱣ ُﮭ ﱠﻢ ا ْﻏ ِﻔ ْﺮ ِﻟ ْﯽ َوا ْر َﺣ ْﻤ ِﻨ ْﯽ َوا ْھ ِﺪ ِﻧ ْﯽ warhamnee, wahdinee, w‘afinee, me, guide me, keep me safe [from َوا ْر ُز ْﻗ ِﻨ ْﯽ !warzuqnee. afflictions], and provide for me

ِإ ﱠن ﱠَ َو َﻣ َﻼ ِﺋ َﻜﺘَﮫُ ﯾُ َﺼﻠﱡﻮ َن َﻋﻠَﻰ اﻟﻨﱠ ِﺒ ّﻲِ ﯾَﺎ أَﯾﱡ َﮭﺎ اﻟﱠ ِﺬﯾ َﻦ آ َﻣﻨُﻮا َﺻﻠﱡﻮا َﻋﻠَ ْﯿ ِﮫ َو َﺳ ِﻠّ ُﻤﻮا ﺗَ ْﺴ ِﻠﯿ ًﻤﺎ Inna Allaha wamala-ikatahu yusalloona AAala alnnabiyyi ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo salloo AAalayhi wasallimoo tasleeman {God and His angels bestow blessings on the Prophet. O believers, you also should invoke blessings on him and give him greetings of peace.}

By it Faith is made concrete. By it you become complete. Mankind be sure to repeat. La ilaha ilallah. It will guide you to what is right. It will strengthen with true might. It helped win the fight. La ilaha ilallah. These words are light upon light. They open up your inner sight. Recite them all day and night. La ilaha ilallah. By it left the whale. By it left the jail. It’s the friend that will not fail. La ilaha ilallah. It has come in narration, from the Best of Creation, it’s the best of , La ilaha ilallah. It will bring you . It will cure you from disease. It will fill your life with ease. La ilaha ilallah. Before anything that we do, ya Allah we remember you. You make our dreams come true, La ilaha ilallah. If and when we fall ill, we will remain patient still. You will cure us when You will. La ilaha ilallah. You are love and you are light. Without we have no sight. Guide us to the path that’s right, La ilaha ilallah. In our hearts and in our minds, is the praise of The Divine. So we say, all the time, La ilaha ilallah. 9 Talama Ashkoo Gharamee أَﺗَ ْﯿﻨَﺎ َك ﺑِﺎ ْﻟﻔَ ْﻘ ِﺮ َ ْ َطﺎﻟَ َﻤﺎ أ ْﺷ ُﻜ ْﻮ َﻏ َﺮا ِﻣ ْﻲ ﯾَﺎﻧُ ْﻮ َراﻟ ُﻮ ُﺟ ْﻮ ْد أَﺗَ ْﯿﻨَﺎ َك ﺑِﺎ ْﻟﻔَ ْﻘ ِﺮ ﯾَﺎ ذَا ا ْﻟ ِﻐﻨَﻰ * َوأَ ْﻧ َﺖ اﻟﱠ ِﺬ ْي ﻟَ ْﻢ ﯾَ َﺰ ْل ُﻣ ْﺤ ِﺴﻨَﺎ وأُﻧَﺎ ِدي ﯾﺎﺗِﮭﺎ ِﻣﻲ ﯾﺎﻣﻌ ِﺪ َن ا ْﻟﺠﻮ ْد َ ْ َ َ ْ َ َ ْ ُ ْ َو َﻋ ﱠﻮ ْدﺗَﻨَﺎ ُﻛ ﱠﻞ ﻓَ ْﻀ ٍﻞ َﻋ َﺴﻰ * ﯾَﺪُ ْو ُم اﻟﱠ ِﺬ ْي ِﻣ ْﻨ َﻚ َﻋ ﱠﻮ ْدﺗَﻨَﺎ We come to You poor and needy, o You Self-sufficient Talama ashku gharami ya nural wujood, You, who never cease doing us good. Wa unadi ya tihami ya ma’dinal jud We became used to receive all favors from You, For as long as I protest my love to you, hoping that (the favors) we used to receive from You will ever Oh light of existence continue. Oh I call upon Tihami (prophet Muhammed), Oh you element of generosity ُﻣ ْﻨﯿَﺘِ ْﻲ أَ ْﻗ َﺼﻲ َﻣ َﺮا ِﻣ ْﻲ أَ ْﺣ َﻈﻲ ﺑِﺎﻟ ﱡﺸ ُﮭ ْﻮ ْد َﻣ َﺴﺎ ِﻛﻨُ َﻚ اﻟ ﱡﺸ ْﻌ ُﺚ ﻗَ ْﺪ ُو ِﻟّ ُﮭ ْﻮا * ﺑِ ُﺤﺒِّ َﻚ إِ ْذ ُھ َﻮ أَ ْﻗ َﺼﻰ ا ْﻟ ُﻤﻨَﻰ َ ْ َوأ َري ﺑَﺎ َب اﻟ ﱠﺴﻼَ ِم ﯾَﺎ َزا ِﻛﻲ اﻟ ُﺠﺪُ ْو ْد ﻓَ َﻤﺎ ﻓِﻲ ا ْﻟ ِﻐﻨَﻰ أَ َﺣﺪٌ ِﻣﺜْﻠُ ُﻜ ْﻢ * َوﻓِﻲ ا ْﻟﻔَ ْﻘ ِﺮ َﻻ ُﻋ ْﺼﺒَﺔٌ ِﻣﺜْﻠُﻨَﺎ Your disheveled paupers are driven out of their wits Mun yati aksa marami ahza bish-shuhood, by love for You, the ultimate end (desire). Wa ara babas-salaami ya zakil judood For there is none like You in richness and self-sufficiency, My hope, the utmost aim is that I have and in poverty and neediness there is none like our . the witnesses on the judgment day and see the gate of peace with my own eyes Oh Allah who guided our grandfathers to َرأَ ْﯾﻨَﺎ َك ﻓِ ْﻲ ُﻛ ِّﻞ أَ ْﻣ ٍﺮ ﺑَﺪَا * َوﻟَ ْﯿ َﺲ ِﻣ َﻦ ا ْﻷَ ْﻣ ِﺮ َﺷ ْﯿ ٌﺊ ﻟَﻨَﺎ ﯾَﺎ ِط َﺮا َزا ْﻟ َﻜ ْﻮ ِن إِﻧِّ ْﻰ َﻋﺎ ِﺷ ْﻖ ُﻣ ْﺴﺘَ َﮭﺎ ْم إِذَا ُﻛ ْﻨ َﺖ ﻓِ ْﻲ ُﻛ ِّﻞ َﺣﺎ ٍل َﻣ ِﻌ ْﻲ * ﻓَﻌَ ْﻦ َﺣ ْﻤ ِﻞ َزا ِد ْي أَﻧَﺎ ﻓِ ْﻲ ِﻏﻨَﻰ ُﻣ ْﻐ َﺮ ٌم َوا ْﻟ َﻤ ْﺪ ُح ﻓَﻨِّﻲ ﯾَﺎﺑَ ْﺪ َر اﻟﺘﱠ َﻤﺎ ْم We see You revealed in everything while we have no share in anything. Ya tirazal kawni inni aashiq mustahaam, If You were in all circumstances with me، Mugramun wal madhu fani ya badrat-tamaam I would not need to take provisions with me. Oh model of creations, verily I am an ardent lover, Praising you is my art, oh full moon ﻓَﺄَ ْﻧﺘُﻢ ُھﻮ ا ْﻟﺤ ﱡﻖ َﻻ َﻏ ْﯿﺮ ُﻛﻢ * ﻓَﯿﺎ ﻟَ ْﯿﺖ َﺷﻌﺮي أَﻧَﺎ ﻣ ْﻦ أَﻧَﺎ إ ْﺻ ِﺮ ِف ا ْﻷَ ْﻋ َﺮا َض َﻋﻨِّﻲ أَ ْﺿﻨَﺎﻧِﻲ ا ْﻟﻐَ َﺮا ْم ْ َ َ ُ ْ َ َ ْ ِ ْ ِ ِ َ ْ َ َ َ ﻓِ ْﯿ َﻚ ﻗَ ْﺪ َﺣ ﱠﺴ ْﻨ ُﺖ َظﻨِّ ْﻲ ﯾَﺎ َﺳﺎ ِﻣﻲ ا ْﻟﻌُ ُﮭ ْﻮ ْد ﻓَﯿَﺎ َر ِّب َﺻ ِّﻞ َﻋﻠﻰ اﻟ ُﻤ ْﺼﻄﻔَﻰ * َﺻ َﻼةً ﺗَ ُﻜ ْﻮ ُن أ َﻣﺎﻧًﺎ ﻟﻨَﺎ For You are the Al-Haqq (The Truth), none but You Isrifil a’a raada anni adnanil ghraam, If only I knew (the meaning of) "I"! O Lord send blessings upon the Chosen One, Fiqa qad ahsantu zanni ya samil uhood blessings that will make for safety for us. Remove the bothersome veil so I may see you, I have a strong expectation of your promise of safety, Oh one who is firm in his promise ﯾَﺎ ِﺳ َﺮا َج ا ْﻷَ ْﻧﺒِﯿَﺎ ِء ﯾَﺎ َﻋﺎ ِﻟﻲ ا ْﻟ َﺠﻨَﺎ ْب ْ َ ْ ﱠ َ ْ َ ﯾَﺎإِ َﻣﺎ َم اﻷﺗ ِﻘﯿَﺎ ِء إِن ﻗﻠﺒِ ْﻲ ذا ْب Ya sirajal ambiyaa-i ya a’alil janaab, Ya imaamal atqiyaa-i inna qalbi zaab Oh light of prophets, oh summit of purity, Leader of the people of piety, my heart is one with you ﯾَ ْﻜ ِﻔ ْﻲ ﯾَﺎﻧُ ْﻮ َر ا ْﻷَ ِھﻠﱠ ْﺔ إِ ﱠن َھ ْﺠ ِﺮ ْي َطﺎ ْل ْ ّ ْ َﺳﯿﱠ ِﺪ ْي َواﻟﻌُ ْﻤ ُﺮ َو ِﻟﻲ ُﺟ ْﺪ ﺑِﺎﻟ َﻮ ْﺻ ِﻞ ُﺟ ْﻮ ْد Yakfi ya nural ahillah inna hajri taal, Sayyidi wal’umru walli jud bilwasli jood It is enough for me oh light of Allah to journey toward you My master all my life you are my beloved, hasten my meeting with you َ ﱠ ْ ْ ﯾَﺎﻧَﺒِﯿﺎ ﻗ ْﺪ ﺗَ َﺤﻠﻲ َﺣﻘﺎ ﺑِﺎﻟ َﺠ َﻤﺎل َو َﻋﻠَ ْﯿ َﻚ ﷲُ َﺻﻠﱠﻲ َرﺑِّ ْﻲ ذُوا ْﻟ َﺠﻼَ ْل Ya nabiyan qad taHala Haqqan biljamal, Wa ‘alaykallahu salla rabbi dhuljalal For you may there be salutations of Allah My Lord is indeed the master of every perfection

10 Mawlaya Sallee Qamaroon

َواَ ْﺟ َﻤ ُﻞ ِﻣ ْﻨ َﻚ ﻟَ ْﻢ ﺗَ َﺮ ﻗَ ﱡﻂ َﻋ ْﯿ ٍﻦ Mawlaya salli wa sallim da- abadan َواَ ْطﯿَ ُﺐ ِﻣ ْﻨ َﻚ ﻟَ ْﻢ ﺗَ ِﻠ ِﺪا اﻟﻨِّ َﺴﺎ ُء Ala habibika khayril khalqi kullihimi‘ ُ ْ ً Oh my Master, send Your salutations and blessings eternally) ﺧ ِﻠﻘ َﺖ ُﻣﺒَ ﱠﺮأ ِﻣ ْﻦ ُﻛ ِّﻞ َﻋ ْﯿ ٍﺐ (Upon Your Beloved – the best of creation َﻛﺄَ ْﻧ َﻚ ﻗَ ْﺪ ُﺧﻠ ْﻘ َﺖ َﻛﻤﺎ ﺗَ َﺸﺎء ِ َ ُ Muhammadun sayyidul kawnayni wath-thaqalain Wa ajmalu minka lam tara qattu aini Wal fareeqaini min ‘urbin wa min ‘ajami Wa atyabu minka lam talidin nissa’u (Muhammad is the leader [as the Final Prophet and the best of Khuliqta mubarra’ an min kulli aibin creation] of the two worlds, and of Man and Jinn) Ka-anna-ka qad khuliqta kama tasha’u (Leader also of the and the non-Arabs, and their kin) (Hassan Bin Thabit) And more excellent than you, my eye has never seen, Huwal habibul ladhi thurja shafa’athuhu And more beautiful than you, no woman ever gave birth to; Likulli hawlin minal ahwali muq-thahami You were created free from any flaw whatsoever, (Beloved by Allah is he, upon whose pleading we depend) As though you were created just the way you wanted. (From the terrors of the Day of Judgement, which on us descend) ﻗَ َﻤ ٌﺮ.. ﻗَ َﻤ ٌﺮ.. ﻗَ َﻤ ٌﺮ ِﺳﯿ ْﺪﻧَﺎ اﻟﻨﱠﺒﻲ ﻗَ َﻤ ٌﺮ َو َﺟ ِﻤ ْﯿﻞ .. َو َﺟ ِﻤ ْﯿﻞ .. َو َﺟ ِﻤ ْﯿﻞ ِﺳﯿ ْﺪﻧَﺎ اﻟﻨﱠﺒﻲ َو َﺟ ِﻤ ْﯿﻞ ﻣ َﺤﻤ ٌﺪ ﺑَ َﺸﺮ َو ﻟَ ْﯿﺲ َﻛﺎ ْﻟﺒَ َﺸﺮ ُ ﱠ ٌ َ ِ :CHORUS ُﻣ َﺤ ﱠﻤ ٌﺪ ﯾَﺎﻗُﻮﺗَﺔٌ َواﻟﻨﱠﺎ ُس ِﻣ ْﻦ َﺣ َﺠ ِﺮ Muhammadun basharun, wa Laysa kal Bashari, Qamarun, Qamarun,Qamarun Sidnan nabi, Qamarun Muhammadun yaaqutatun, wal naasu min hajari Wa Jameel, Wa Jameel, Wa Jameel sidnan nabi, Wa Jameel is a man, but not like any other man) (The Enchanting) Moon…. The likeness of our Prophet ﷺ Muhammad) .is a precious gem, whilst people are like stones) is like that of the (enchanting full) moon ﷺ Muhammad) And beautiful… Our master, and Prophet, is incredibly beautiful.

َو َﻛ ﱡﻒ ا ْﻟ ُﻤ ْﺼ َﻄﻔَﺊ َﻛﺎ ْﻟ َﻮ ْر ِد ﻧَﺎ ِدى ﯾَﺎ َر ﱠب ﺑِﺎ ْﻟ ُﻤ ْﺼ َﻄﻔَﻰ ﺑَﻠﱠ ْﻎ َﻣﻘَﺎ ِﺻ َﺪﻧَﺎ ْ َو ِﻋ ْﻄ ُﺮ َھﺎ ﯾَ ْﺒﻘَﻲ اِذا َﻣ ﱠﺴ ْﺖ أَﯾﱠﺎ ِدي َواﻏ ِﻔ ْﺮﻟَﻨَﺎ َﻣﺎ َﻣ َﻀﻰ ﯾَﺎ َوا َﺳ َﻊ ا ْﻟ َﻜ َﺮ ِم َ ُ ْ ,Yā Rabbi bil Mustapha, Baligh maqaseedanaa َو َﻋ ﱠﻢ ﻧ َﻮاﻟ َﮭﺎ ُﻛ ﱠﻞ اﻟ ِﻌﺒَﺎد Waghfir lana mamadha, ya wasi al Karami َﺣﺒِ ْﯿ ُﺐ ﷲِ ﯾَﺎ َﺧ ْﯿ َﺮ ا ْﻟﺒَ َﺮاﯾَﺎ (Oh Lord, with the chosen one, grant us our goals) (And forgive us what has passed, O Magnificent one) Wakafful Mustapha kal wardi nadi Wa ‘itaruha yabka idha massat ayyadi Wa ‘ammana wa luha kullal ‘ibaadi Habib ullah hi ya khairal barayaa The palm of the chosen one is like a fresh rose Its (beautiful) fragrance remains upon the hands that is graced by his touch. َ ُ َوﻻ ِظ ﱡﻞ ﻟﮫُ ﺑَ ْﻞ َﻛﺎ َن ﻧﻮ َرا ﺗَﻨَﺎ ِل اﻟ ﱠﺸ ْﻤ َﺲ ِﻣ ْﻨﮫُ َواْﻟﺒُ ُﺪ ْو َرا َوﻟَ ْﻢ ﯾَ ُﻜ ِﻦ ا ْﻟ ُﮭ َﺪي ﻟَ ْﻮ َﻻ ُظ ُﮭ ْﻮ َرا َو ُﻛ ﱡﻞ ا ْﻟ َﻜ ْﻮ ِن اَﻧَﺎ َر ﺑِﻨُﻮ ِر َطﮫَ Wa la dhillu la hu bal kaana noora Tana lashamsa min u wal badura Wa lam yukunil huda lawlal dhuhoorah Wa Kullul kawni anna ra binuri Taha No taint of shadow, because you are an illuminating light You are like both moon and sun. 12 Ya Al-Rosuli ﻗَﻤ ٌﺮ َطﺎﺑَ ْﺖ ﺳﺮ ْﯾﺮﺗُﮫُ، وﺳﺠﺎﯾَﮫُ و ِﺳ ْﯿﺮﺗُﮫُ َ َ ِ َ َ َ َ َ َ ﯾَﺎ ِإ َﻣﺎ َم اﻟ ﱡﺮ ْﺳ ِﻞ ﯾَﺎ َﺳﻨَ ِﺪ ْي، اَ ْﻧ َﺖ ﺑَﺎ ُب ﱠ ِ ُﻣ ْﻌﺘَ َﻤ ِﺪي ﺻ ْﻔﻮةُ ا ْﻟﺒَﺎري و ِﺧ ْﯿﺮﺗُﮫُ، َﻋ ْﺪ ُل أَ ْھ ِﻞ ا ْﻟ ِﺤ ِّﻞ وا ْﻟ َﺤﺮ ِم َ َ ِ ْ َ َ َ َ ﻓَ ِﺒﺪُ ْﻧﯿَﺎ َي َوآ ِﺧ َﺮ ِﺗ ْﻲ ، ﯾَﺎ َر ُﺳ ْﻮ َل ﱠ ِ ُﺧ ْﺬ ِﺑﯿَ ِﺪ ْي Qamarun Tabat sariratuhu, CHORUS: Wa sajayahu wa siratuhu Ya imamar Rusli ya sanadi, Safwtul bari wa khiratuhu Anta babullahi mu’tamadi ‘Adlu ahlil hilli wal harami Fabi dunyaya wa akhirate Like a moon, good and wholesome in his intension, Ya Rasulallahi khudh biyadi his character and his way of life, O’ Leader of the messengers, O’ my support, The purest elect, ultimate choice of the Creator, You are the door to Allah, on whom I rely, the most trustworthy, a righteous witness In my life and in my hereafter, for people of upright and wrongdoing O’ Messenger of Allah َﻣﺎ َرأَ ْت َﻋ ْﯿ ٌﻦ َوﻟَ ْﯿ َﺲ ﺗَ َﺮى، ِﻣﺜْ َﻞ َطﮫَ ِﻓﻲ ا ْﻟ َﻮ َرى ﺑَ َﺸ َﺮا Take my hand َﺧ ْﯿ ُﺮ َﻣ ْﻦ ﻓَ ْﻮ َق اﻟﺜﱠ َﺮى أَﺛَ َﺮا، َطﺎ ِھ ُﺮ ا ْﻷَ ْﺧﻼَ ِق َواﻟ ِّﺸﯿَ ِﻢ ,Mara at ‘aynun wa laysa tara ﻗَ َﺴﻤﺎً ِﺑﺎﻧﱠ ْﺠ ِﻢ ِﺣ ْﯿ َﻦ َھ َﻮى، َﻣﺎ ا ْﻟ ُﻤﻌَﺎﻓَﻰ َواﻟ ﱠﺴ ِﻘ ْﯿ ُﻢ َﺳ َﻮا Mithla Taha fil wara bashara ْ ْ ْ ﻓَﺎ ْﺧﻠَ ِﻊ اﻟ َﻜ ْﻮﻧَ ْﯿ ِﻦ َﻋ ْﻨ َﻚ ِﺳ َﻮى، ُﺣ ِّﺐ َﻣ ْﻮﻟَﻰ اﻟﻌُ ْﺮ ِب َواﻟﻌَ َﺠ ِﻢ Qasaman bin najmi hina hawa, Khayru man fawqath thara athara Mal mu’afa was saqimu sawa Tahirul akhlaqe wash shiyami Fakhla’il kawnayni ‘anka siwa, No eyes has seen or will ever see, Hubbi mawlal ‘urbi wal ‘ajami A human being like Taha (Muhammad), I swear “by the star in descent” (, 53:1), He is the best of whomever left traces on earth, The healthy and the sick are not alike, So renounce both worlds, For the Love of the Master of the Arabs and Non-Arabs

14 ُﻣ َﺤ ﱠﻤﺪٌ ِذ ْﻛ ُﺮهُ ُر ْو ٌح ِﻷَ ْﻧﻔُ ِﺴﻨَﺎ ٫ ُﻣ َﺤ ﱠﻤﺪٌ ُﺷ ْﻜ ُﺮهُ ﻓَ ْﺮ ٌض َﻋﻠَﻰ ا ْﻷُ َﻣ ِﻢ Qasidah Muhammadiyyah ﻣﺤ ﱠﻤﺪٌ زﯾﻨَﺔٌ اﻟﺪﱡ ْﻧﯿَﺎ وﺑَ ْﮭﺠﺘُﮭﺎ ٫ ﻣﺤ ﱠﻤﺪٌ َﻛﺎ ِﺷ ٌﻒ ا ْﻟﻐُ ﱠﻤﺎ ِت وا ْﻟ ُﻈﻠَﻢ ُ َ ِ َ َ َ ُ َ َ ِ ُﻣ َﺤ ﱠﻤﺪٌ أَ ْﺷ َﺮ ُف ا ْﻷَ ْﻋ َﺮا ِب َوا ْﻟﻌَ َﺠﻢ ٫ ُﻣ َﺤ ﱠﻤﺪٌ َﺧ ْﯿ ُﺮ َﻣ ْﻦ ﯾَ ْﻤ ِﺸ ْﻲ َﻋﻠَﻰ ﻗَﺪَ ِم Muhammadun zikruhu ruhun lianfusinā, ﻣﺤ ﱠﻤﺪٌ ﺑَﺎ ِﺳ ُﻂ ا ْﻟﻤ ْﻌ ُﺮو ِف ﺟﺎ ِﻣﻌُﮫُ ٫ ﻣﺤ ﱠﻤﺪٌ ﺻﺎ ِﺣ ُﺐ ا ْﻹ ْﺣﺴــﺎن وا ْﻟ َﻜﺮم Muhammadun shukruhu farddun ‘alāl umami ُ َ َ ْ َ ُ َ َ ِ َ ِ َ َ ِ Muhammadun ashrāful ‘arābi wal ajami, Muhammadun dhīnatud dunyā wa bahjatuhā, Muhammadun khairo man yamshī ‘alā qadami Muhammadun kāshiful ghummāti waz zulami Muhammadun bāsitul ma’rū jafi jāmi u hu,

Muhammadun sāhibul ihsāni wal karami Muhammad’s remembrance is a respite for our Muhammad’s praise is obligatory upon all the nations Muhammad is the noblest of Arabs and non-Arabs Muhammad is the beauty and adornment of this world Muhammad is the best of those who walk upon two feet Muhammad is a remover of afflictions and darkness Muhammad, the most expansive giver of all good things ُﻣ َﺤ ﱠﻤﺪٌ َﺳﯿِّﺪٌ َطﺎﺑَ ْﺖ َﻣﻨَﺎﻗِﺒُﮫُ ٫ ُﻣ َﺤ ﱠﻤﺪٌ َﺻﺎ َﻏﮫُ اﻟ ﱠﺮ ْﺣ َﻤ ُﻦ ﺑِﺎﻟﻨِّﻌَ ِﻢ Muhammad the possessor of beneficence and generosity ُﻣﺤ ﱠﻤﺪٌ ﺻ ْﻔﻮةٌ ا ْﻟﺒَﺎري و ِﺧ ْﯿﺮﺗُﮫُ ٫ ُﻣﺤ ﱠﻤﺪٌ َطﺎ ِھ ٌﺮ ِﻣ ْﻦ ﺳﺎﺋِﺮ اﻟﺘﱡﮭﻢ َ َ َ ِ َ َ َ َ ِ َ ِ ُﻣ َﺤ ﱠﻤﺪٌ ﺗَﺎ ُج ُر ْﺳ ِﻞ ﷲِ ﻗَﺎ ِطﺒَﺔً ٫ ُﻣ َﺤ ﱠﻤﺪٌ َﺻﺎ ِد ُق ا ْﻷَ ْﻗ َﻮا ِل َوا ْﻟ َﻜ ِﻠ ِﻢ Muhammadun s’ayyidun tābat manāqibuhu, ﻣﺤ ﱠﻤﺪٌ ﺛَﺎﺑ ُﺖ ا ْﻟ ِﻤ ْﯿﺜَﺎق ﺣﺎﻓِ ُﻈﮫُ ٫ ﻣﺤ ﱠﻤﺪٌ َطﯿّ ُﺐ ا ْﻷَ ْﺧ َﻼق واﻟ ِّﺸﯿَﻢ Muhammadun sāghahur rahmanu binni‘a mi ُ َ ِ ِ َ ُ َ ِ ِ َ ِ Muhammadun tāju rusliLlāhi qātibatan, Muhammadun safwatul bārī wa khiyaratuhu, Muhammadun sādiqul aqwāli wal kalimi Muhammadun tāhirum min sā i rit tuhami Muhammadun thābitul mīthāqi hāfizuhu,

ﻗُ ْﻞ ﯾَﺎ َﻋ ِﻈﯿ ْﻢ أَ ْﻧ َﺖ ا ْﻟﻌَ ِﻈﯿ ْﻢ ٫ ﻗَ ْﺪ َھ ﱠﻤﻨَﺎ َھ ﱞﻢ َﻋ ِﻈﯿ ْﻢ َو ُﻛ ﱡﻞ َھ ٍّﻢ َھ ﱠﻤﻨَﺎ ٫ ﯾَ ُﮭ ْﻮ ُن ﺑِﺎ ْﺳ ِﻤ َﻚ ﯾَﺎ َﻋ ِﻈﯿ ْﻢ Qul Ya Azim Antal Azim, Qad Hammana Hammun Azim Wa Kullu hammin hammana, Yahunu bismika ya Azim CHORUS: Say Oh Great One you are The Most Great. 20 Establishing the The Call to Prayer is known as the To assemble the for congregational prayer, the Adhan, or the ‘call to prayer’ is given. After the Athan is heard we should recite:

ِِ ِ ِ ِ ِ ِ ِ ِ ِ ﱠِ ِ ِ اﻟﻠﱠُﻬ ﱠﻢ َر ﱠب َﻫﺬﻩ اﻟ ﱠﺪ ْﻋَﻮة اﻟﺘﱠﺎﱠﻣﺔ، َواﻟ ﱠﺼَﻼة اﻟَْﻘﺎﺋَﻤﺔ، آت ُﳏَﱠﻤﺪاً اﻟَْﻮﺳﻴﻠَﺔَ َواﻟَْﻔﻀﻴﻠَﺔَ، َواﺑْـَﻌﺜْﻪُ َﻣَﻘﺎﻣﺎً َْﳏ ُﻤﻮداً اﻟﺬي َوَﻋ ْﺪﺗَﻪُ، إَﻧﱠ َﻚ َﻻ ُﲣْﻠ ُﻒ اﻟْﻤﻴَﻌﺎَد Allaahumma Rabba haathihid-da 'watit-taamma, wassalaatil-qaa'ima, 'aati Muhammadanil-waseelata walfadheela, wab 'ath-hu maqaamam Mahmoodel-lathee wa'adta, 'innaka laa tukhliful-mee'aad. {O Allah , Lord of this perfect call and established prayer. Grant Muhammad the intercession and favor, and raise him to the honored station You have promised him, verily You do not neglect promises.}

ِ ِ ﱠِ ِ ِ ِ ِ أَ ْﺳﺘَـﻐْﻔُﺮ ا ﱠَ اﻟَْﻌﻈﻴ َﻢ اﻟﺬي ﻻَ إﻟَﻪَ إﻻﱠ ُﻫَﻮ ا ْﳊَﱡﻲ اﻟَﻘﻴﱡﻮُم َو أَﺗُﻮ ُب إﻟَْﻴﻪ (3x) Astaghfirullah hel atheem allathee la eelaha ila huwal hayul Qayum wa atoobu eelay.(3x) {I seek the forgiveness of Allah the Mighty, Whom there is none worthy of worship except Him, The Living, The Eternal, and I repent unto Him}

ﱠ ِ ِ ِ ِ اﻟﻠُﻬ ﱠﻢ أَﻧْ َﺖ اﻟ ﱠﺴﻼَُم َوﻣْﻨ َﻚ اﻟ ﱠﺴﻼَُم ﺗَـﺒَﺎَرْﻛ َﺖ َ َذا ا ْﳉَﻼَل َواﻹْﻛَﺮام Allahumma entes salam, wa minka salam, tabarak ta ya thal jalalle wel ikram. {O Allah, You are Peace and from You comes peace . Blessed are You , O Owner of majesty and honor. } 21 ِ َﻋﻠَﻰ َر ُﺳْﻮﻟﻨَﺎ َﺻﻠََﻮا ٌت Ala Rasulina {On our Prophet, send blessings.}

ﱠ ِ ِ ٍ ِ ِ ِ اﻟﻠُﻬ ﱠﻢ َﺻِّﻞ َﻋﻠَﻰ َﺳﻴّﺪَ ُﳏَﱠﻤﺪ َوَﻋﻠَﻰ آل َﺳﻴّﺪَ ُﳏَﱠﻤﺪ Allahummasalli ala Sayyidina Muhammadin wa ala ali Sayyidina Muhammad {O God, bestow blessings on our master Muhammad & on the family of our master Muhammad} The Muethin says: ِ ِ ِ ِ ِ ِ ِ ِ ِ ِ ِ ُﺳْﺒ َﺤﺎ َن ﷲ َوا ْﳊَْﻤ ُﺪ ﱠ َوﻻَ اﻟَﻪَ اﻻﱠ ﷲُ َوﷲُ أَ ْﻛَﱪُ َوﻻَ َﺣْﻮَل َوﻻَ ﻗُـﱠﻮَة إﻻﱠ اﻟَْﻌﻠ ِّﻲ اﻟَْﻌﻈْﻴﻢ Subhanallahi wal hamdulillahi was lailahaillallahu wallahuakbar. Wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billahil aliyyul atheem. {Glory be to God, All praise is to God, There is no god but God, God is Great. No power & strength is without God} Then the Muethin says: ِ ِ ٰ ِ ِ ِ ِ أَﻋُْﻮذُ ِ ﻣ َﻦ اﻟ ﱠﺸـْﻴﻄ ِﻦ اﻟﱠﺮﺟْﻴِﻢ. ﺑ ْﺴِﻢ ا ﱠ اﻟﱠﺮ ْﲪَ ِﻦ اﻟﱠﺮﺣﻴﻢ. Athoobillahee mina shaytan arajeem. Bismillahirahmanir Raheem. {I seek refuge from shaytan the accursed. In the name of God the most gracious, the most merciful.} Then we recite Ayat-al kursi: ِ ِ ِ ِ ﱠِ ِ ِ ِِ ِِ ا ﱠُ ﻻَ إﻟَﻪَ إﻻﱠ ُﻫَﻮ ا ْﳊَﱡﻲ اﻟَْﻘﻴﱡﻮُم ﻻَ َْ ُﺧ ُﺬﻩُ ﺳﻨَﺔٌ َوﻻَ ﻧَـْﻮٌم ﻟَﻪُ َﻣﺎ ِﰲ اﻟ ﱠﺴَﻤﺎَوات َوَﻣﺎ ِﰲ اﻷَْر ِض َﻣ ْﻦ َذا اﻟﺬي ﻳَ ْﺸَﻔ ُﻊ ﻋْﻨ َﺪﻩُ إﻻﱠ ْذﻧﻪ ﻳَـْﻌﻠَ ُﻢ َﻣﺎ ﺑََْﲔ ِ ِ ِ ِ ٍ ِ ِ ِ ِ ِ ِ ِ ِ ِ ِ ِ ِ أَﻳْﺪﻳﻬ ْﻢ َوَﻣﺎ َﺧْﻠَﻔُﻬ ْﻢ َوﻻَ ُﳛﻴﻄُﻮَن ﺑ َﺸ ْﻲء ﻣ ْﻦ ﻋْﻠﻤﻪ إﻻﱠ ﲟَﺎ َﺷﺎَء َوﺳ َﻊ ُﻛْﺮﺳﻴﱡﻪُ اﻟ ﱠﺴَﻤﺎَوات َواﻷَْر َض َوﻻَ ﻳَـﺌُﻮُدﻩُ ﺣْﻔﻈُُﻬَﻤﺎ َوُﻫَﻮ اﻟَْﻌﻠ ﱡﻲ اﻟَْﻌﻈﻴ ُﻢ Allahu la ilaha illa huwal hayyul kayyum. La ta’khuzhuhu sinatuw wa la nawm. Lahu mafissamawati wa mafil ard. Menthel lathe yashfa’u indahu illa bi ithnih. Ya’lamu mabayna aydeehim wama khalfahum wa la yuheetoona bishay’in min ilmihi illa bimashaa’wasi’a kursiyyuhu ssamawati wal ard. Wa la ya’uduhu hifthuhuma we huwal aliyyul atheem. {Allah! There is no God but He, the Living, the Self-subsisting, the Eternal. No slumber can seize Him, nor sleep. All things in heaven & earth are His. Who could intercede in His presence without His permission? He knows what appears in front of & behind His creatures. Nor can they encompass any knowledge of Him except what he wills. His throne extends over the heavens & the earth, & He feels no fatigue in guarding & preserving them, for He is the Highest & Most Exalted. (Surah Baqarah, Verse 255: The Throne)} The Muethin says: ِ َذا اﳉَﻼِل ُﺳْﺒ َﺤﺎ َن ا ّ Thul jalalee, Subhanallah {To The One Who has all Greatness. Glory be to Allah.} Quietly we say 33 times: ِ ُﺳْﺒ َﺤﺎ َن ا ّ Subhanallah {Glory be to Allah.} The Muethin says: 22 ٍ ِ ِ َﻋﻠَ ٰﻰ ُﻛِّﻞ َﺷ ْﻲء َداﺋًﻤﺎ اَ ْﳊَْﻤ ُﺪ ّ Ala kulee shayin da’eemen {Upon everything, always, Praise be to Allah.} Quietly we say 33 times: ِ اَ ْﳊَْﻤ ُﺪ ّ Alhamdulillah {Praise be to Allah.} The Muethin says:

ِ َر ِّب اﻟَْﻌـﻠَﻤ َﲔ ﺗَـَﻌﺎَﱃ َﺷﺄْﻧُﻪُ اَُ اَْﻛَﱪ Rabil alameena ta’ala shanuhu, Allahu Akbar {The Lord of the Worlds, The Most High, for Him; ‘God is the Greatest.’} Quietly we say 33 times:

اَُ اَْﻛَﱪُ Allahu Akbar {God is the Greatest.} The Muethin says: ِ ِﱠ ِ ِ ٍ ِ َﻻ إﻟَﻪَ إﻻ ﷲُ َوَﺣ ْﺪﻩُ َﻻ َﺷِﺮﻳ َﻚ ﻟَﻪُ، ﻟَﻪُ اﻟُْﻤْﻠ ُﻚ َوﻟَﻪُ ا ْﳊَْﻤ ُﺪ ُْﳛﻴﻲ َوُﳝﻴ ُﺖ، َوُﻫَﻮ َﻋﻠَﻰ ُﻛِّﻞ َﺷ ْﻲء ﻗَﺪﻳٌﺮ La ilaha illa Allahu wahdahu la shareekalah. Lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu yuhyee wa yumeet. Wa huwa ala kulli shay’in qadir. Wama arsalnaka illa rahmatan lil alameen. {There is none worthy of worship besides Allah who is alone. He has no partner. For Him is the Kingdom, and for Him is all Praise. He gives life and causes death. And He has power over everything. We sent you not, but as a Mercy for all creatures. (Surah Al-Anbiya: The Prophets 21:107)} We supplicate to Allah with open hands (dua), then read the Fatiha. The Imam says Salams and we may get up to greet others and leave.
