We dedicated ourselves to creating a systemic solution –one that would transform the educational environment for children in need and the educators who serve them. We built First Book using market-driven models powered by the collective strength of formal and informal educators serving children in need – in schools, libraries, museums, early childhood programs, homeless shelters, afterschool programs – anywhere that serves families in need. And while literacy remains a central focus, First Book’s mission has always been to further educational equity. In 2017, our 25th year, we realized a tipping point: First Book now reaches more than 1 out of 4 of the estimated 1.3 million classrooms and programs serving children in need. We leverage this market power to drive the publication of books, titles, and formats that are most relevant to the children we serve, and to identify and break down other long-standing educational barriers. -

Social Responsibility and Sustainability Report 2019 Social Responsibility and Sustainability Report 2019 Dear Friends: PRISA has moved in a positive direction over the course of fiscal year 2018, in terms of both economic-financial and operational parameters as well as with regard to the strategic reorientation and refocusing of our businesses, as our Chief Executive Officer explains below. The year has also seen improvements to our corporate governance, and here, first of all, I would like to pay tribute to the per- son who served as our Chairman over the past year, Manuel Polanco. Our Board of Directors and its committees have been extremely active over the year, and we have been diligent in adopting their decisions. We believe the results have been positive, as you too will see in the wide-ranging information made public by the Company on this matter. We still have some way to go and we will forge ahead with the same determination as before. Our goal is to achieve the very best governance standards. IBBY Honour List 2012 1 IBBY Honour List 2012 The IBBY Honour List is a biennial selection of outstanding, recently published books, honour- ing writers, illustrators and translators from IBBY member countries. The first Honour List in 1956 was a selection of 15 entries from 12 countries. For the 2012 Honour List, 58 countries have sent 169 nominations in 44 different languages. Selected for the 2012 list are 65 entries in the category of Writing; 54 in the category Illustration; and 50 in the category Translation. Included for the first time is a book in Ojibwe from Canada, as well as two titles in Khmer from Cambodia and three new books on Arabic from the United Arab Emirates. This steady increase demonstrates the growth of IBBY and the continuing efforts to share good books across the world. The titles are selected by the National Sections of IBBY, who are invited to nominate books charac- teristic of their country and suitable to recommend for publication in different languages. -

27 April 2017 The Quarto Group launches new Spanish language imprint Quarto Iberoamericana in partnership with Catapulta Editores S.L. (Catapulta Children Entertainment S.A. Argentina, Catapulta Editores S.L. Spain) LONDON, 27 April 2017 - Quarto (LSE: QRT), the leading global illustrated book publisher, is launching a new Spanish language imprint - Quarto Iberoamericana, through an international publishing partnership with Argentina-based publisher Catapulta Editores S.L. Catapulta Editores is a long-standing co-edition partner of the Group and the partnership gives Quarto direct access to a publishing market worth approximately US$4 billion with 550 million Spanish speakers worldwide. The new Quarto Iberoamericana imprint will publish 20 books a year with the first six books, launching in Autumn 2017, in adult categories such as cookery, lifestyle and spirituality. Other categories will be envisaged in the future as the co- operation grows. Titles will be sourced from Quarto's rich intellectual property catalogue. Catapulta Editores will be responsible for sales and distribution in Spain, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia, Peru and Ecuador.
