He regularly speaks at events around the region. An experienced journalist, Finbarr was previously the Trade Correspondent for the International Business Times in London, reporting most regularly on international trade and development, trade sanctions, free trade agreements and commodities fraud. His work has also appeared in publications such as the Times of London, the Asia Times and the Irish News. Yongmei Cai Partner Simmons & Simmons Yongmei is a financing partner in the financial markets group in Asia based in Beijing. Qualified in both England and PRC, Yongmei has practiced extensively both English and PRC laws and is experienced in PRC banking and trade & commodity finance matter. Her team has won top team reputation in advising clients on China related cross‐border transactions by combing its experience on international structured trade commodity finance business standards with PRC local laws and regulations. She also has been actively involved in RMB internationalization development. Before she joined Simmons & Simmons, she had practiced first as a finance lawyer in London at top international law firms for many years before joining a leading Chinese firm as a partner in their banking and finance group. Chris Change Managing Director DS Concept Mr. Chang is Managing Director of DS‐Concept USA & China, wholly owned subsidiaries of DS‐ Concept Factoring, GmbH. In 2009, Chang launched DS‐Concept’s North American operation in New York and in 2013 opened operations in Shanghai to further expand the company’s reach into Mainland China. He currently oversees both country’s operations and during his tenure has grown the factoring portfolio in excess of $500MM. Mr. Chang is fluent in Mandarin with over 20 years of experience in Trade Finance, Marketing, Wholesaling, Licensing, International Trade, Sourcing, and Project Management. From 1997‐2007 Chang was employed at ITOCHU Prominent USA, LLC where he was Manager, Business Development & Corporate Planning. An accomplished corporate strategist, Chang had a track record of increasing revenue and EBITDA in various business sectors ranging from Trade Finance, Industrial Textile, Footwear, Apparel and Action Sporting Goods. He was responsible for directing strategic cross‐licensing and royalty‐bearing licensing activities for the company, including managing IP valuations and investments, developing licensing strategy, conducting negotiations, and structuring licenses. Chang also managed a $100MM industrial plant in Kentucky, supervised equity investment activities in lifestyle footwear companies, created $25MM Snowboard global licensing business with EBITDA of $5MM and secured $500MM plus of orders in Men’s apparel. From 1993‐1996 Chang was stationed in Asia and managed the license and distribution of Maraolo branded footwear and accessories. From 1992‐1993 Chang was a Sales Representative at GFT/Giorgio Armani Le Collezioni. Chang is a graduate of Gallatin Division at New York University, and holds a B.A. in International Business and Marketing (1991). Julia Cheng Senior Underwriting Manager Credit and Political Risk Zurich Insurance Company Ms. Cheng is an underwriter managing and overseeing Credit & Political Risk Insurance throughout China at Zurich. Zurich is one of the largest global providers of credit & political risk insurance and holds a leadership position in the Berne Union, the club of export credit agencies and major private international credit insurers. Ms. Cheng has been with Zurich for 10 years. She managed global program business for large multinational corporates for the first two years and transferred to Credit & Political Risk Insurance at the start of 2008. Since then, she focused on developing China business and has underwritten the full spectrum of short/medium term credit, sovereign debt and political risk insurance products. She has worked extensively with banks, corporates, export credit agencies and insurance brokers based throughout the Asia Pacific region. Prior to joining Zurich Ms. Cheng worked with Marsh in China. Ms. Cheng has a Postgraduate education background in Accounting from the University of International Business and Economics and holds a Bachelor Degree in Economics from the Capital University of Economics and Business. Cathy Dou Managing Director Head of Global Treasury Solutions Bank of America Merrill Lynch Cathy joined Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML) in June 2010 as China Head of Global Transaction Services(GTS). Based in Shanghai, Cathy is responsible for Global Transactions Services of Bank of America Merrill Lynch China covering Treasury Management as well as Trade and Supply Chain solutions. Prior to joining the bank, Cathy was with Citibank China for 17 years, held positions including FI business Head for East Region, China Head for Trade Product and Sales, and General Manager of Citibank (China) Co. Ltd. Hangzhou Branch. Cathy is a native Chinese and got her MBA from Xiamen University in 1993. Arnon Goldstein Managing Director, Regional Head Sales & Relationship Management, APAC BNY Mellon Arnon Goldstein is Head of Sales & Relationship Management for BNY Mellon’s Treasury Services business in South APAC. In this role, Arnon directs BNY Mellon’s efforts to manage relationships and to grow Treasury Services revenues in South APAC. Products include cash/ payments, trade processing/ trade finance, liquidity and foreign exchange. Country coverage includes Australia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia. Arnon has been involved with the Transaction Banking and Client Management businesses for more than 17 years – holding positions of increasing seniority in New York, Shanghai and Singapore. He joined BNY Mellon in 1996 as a credit trainee. That role exposed him to the wide range of services offered by the bank, including those of the Treasury Services business. In 1999, Arnon moved to China, where he worked as part of the team responsible for opening the bank's Shanghai branch, and was heavily involved in the development of the bank's Trade Services business. In 2003, Arnon relocated to Singapore, to establish the Credit Underwriting function supporting the Treasury Services business, and also became responsible for marketing Trade Services across the South APAC region. In 2007, Arnon joined Global Client Management in Singapore, initially with responsibility for Singaporean clients, and subsequently also for clients in India and the Philippines. Arnon is a member of the Asia Pacific Operating Committee and previously served as a coordinating member of the Asia Revenue Council and its Cross Referral Program. He is BNY Mellon’s representative on the Asia Council of BAFT‐IFSA. Arnon holds both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from Columbia University in New York City and has studied Mandarin Chinese and Arabic. Jeremy Goldwyn Head Business Development, Asia Sucden Jeremy Goldwyn Non‐Executive Director Sucden Financial Limited Jeremy has over 25 years' experience of the commodities and metals industry in both futures and physicals. He first joined Sucden Financial in 2004, having previously headed up ScotiaMocatta's base metals unit and then establishing his own consulting business. During his time with Sucden Financial, he was initially based in the firm's headquarters in the City of London and as Global Head of Industrial Commodities and took overall responsibility for the firm's corporate metals and energy brokerage business. He has been instrumental in the company's expansion in the Asia Pacific Region, with a specific focus on China. Jeremy joined Sucden Financial's Board of Directors in 2012. Nicholas Kwan Director of Research Hong Kong Trade Development Council Nicholas Kwan joined the Hong Kong Trade Development Council in May 2013 as its Research Director. He heads a team of about 30 economists and research professionals, providing research support on all macro‐economic and business issues. Based in Hong Kong, Nick was formerly with Standard Chartered Bank, acted as the bank’s Asia Chief Economist and Head of Research, East, during 2005‐2012. In Standard Chartered, Nick managed a team of about 100 economists and other research professionals in foreign exchange, rates, credit, commodities, equities and support functions, located across eight different Asian cities from Seoul to Jakarta. Before Standard Chartered, Nick worked at the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) for seven years as a senior manager, specializing in macro‐economic and policy research. Prior to the HKMA, Nick was the Regional Chief Economist of Merrill Lynch covering the Asia Pacific region from Korea to India, having based in Singapore and Hong Kong for 11 years. Nick and his team were rated among the top research teams of Hong Kong, China, Asia and the world in various polls, including Institutional Investor (1998), Euromoney (2010) and Bloomberg (2011). Nick is an economics graduate of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, with an MBA from Warwick University in the UK and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
