Il “catalogo” esemplifica, mediante rilievo fotografico l’appartenenza degli edifici rappresentati, alle diversi classi di cui all’Art. 16 delle Norme del Piano delle Regole. Der Ort bildet den östlichen Abschluss der Wassersportregion im Norden des Comer Sees und hält einen Großteil der industriellen Arbeitsplätze. Ein Blick auf den Hafenbereich unter- streicht diesen Eindruck: Großzügig angelegt sind sowohl die Piazza am See als auch die Strandbereiche südlich und nördlich des Ortes mit den sich anschließenden Campingplätzen. Viele kleine Vororte (u.a. Curcio, Laghetto, Olgiasca und Villatico) erstrecken sich entlang der sanft ansteigenden Ebene, die das Fundament des Monte Leg- none bilden, des höchsten Berges am Comer See. Im Industriegebiet von Colico befindet sich ein riesiges Einkaufszen- trum, das man in dieser Gegend eigentlich nicht erwartet: I peral Fuentes. Ein Zentrum der Superlative! Zwei Dutzend Einzelhan- delsgeschäfte und einige Snackbars tun alles dafür, dass die Gäste möglichst viel Zeit hier verbringen. Im Zentrum steht eine Riesen- ausgabe der Lebensmittelkette ‚Iperal‘ mit Fisch-, Gemüse- und Backwarenabteilungen vom Feinsten, alles ein bisschen größer als gewohnt. Zurzeit ist es allerdings ein wenig mühsam, die Anlage zu erreichen, da zwar seit einigen Jahren an der dortigen Verkehrssitu- ation gearbeitet wird, ein Ende der Arbeiten aber nicht absehbar ist. An historischen Attraktionen bietet Colico die Klosteranlage in Olgi- asca, zwei Festungen aus früherer Zeit, einen alten Turm oberhalb von Villatico und diverse kleinere Kirchen. Das Tourismusbüro von Colico mit großem Parkplatz befindet sich etwa 200 m östlich hinter der Seepromenade. Colico hat sich mit einem anerkannten Musikfes- tival für klassische Musik in den letzten Jahren einen guten Namen LAGODICOMO 49 gemacht.
