The content of ethnonational victimization discourses may vary depending on the characteristics of historical development and modern socio-economic living conditions of ethnic groups in the multi-ethnic Ukraine, as well as be contingent on the characteristics of the interaction of these ethnic groups with the contacting ethnic groups and state power. In this regard, a unique situation is developing in the Kherson region of Ukraine which can be classified as one of the most contrasting in its characteristics ethnically mosaic border region of the Ukrainian state.
