The paper contains data about 354 species of owlet moths, collected in 2017–2020 in Kyrgyzstan. This work is based on the examination of 4043 specimens, from which genitalia for 600 specimens were dissected. The following number of species is recorded for various territories of the country for the first time: 12 species for Kyrgyzstan; 27 species for West Tian- Shan; eight species for Central Tian-Shan; 29 species for Inner Tian-Shan; one species for North Tian-Shan; 10 species for Alai. In total, 878 species of moths are known in the fauna of Kyrgyzstan. Due to the intermediate position of Kyrgyzstan between Kazakhstan and Tajikistan we can predict an average species number in Kyrgyzstan as between 950 and 1000 species. Thus, the fauna of Noctuoidea of this country is studied by 80–90% to the present time. Key words: biodiversity, fauna, owlet moths, distribution, Central Asia. Introduction The status of three species of owlet moths was downgraded to a subspecies after publishing of the paper In 2016 a book was published about the noctuoid by Korb [2020]; one species (Bryophila orthogramma moths (Noctuoidea) of Kyrgyzstan [Korb et al., 2016], which Boursin, 1954) was not confirmed in Kyrgyzstan by DNA contains data about 857 species of these insects known data, all specimens determined before as B. orthogramma from the country at that time. Four species, earlier known by DNA actually belong to the same cluster of B. raptricula from this territory, were omitted from the book: Clostera (Denis et Schiffermüller, 1775). Thus, the species number of obscurior (Staudinger, 1887), Cucullia tibetana Staudinger, noctuoid moths occurred in Kyrgyzstan, within four years 1896, Goniographa gyulaipeteri Varga et Ronkay, 2002, after publishing the first book [Korb et al., 2016] has been Xestia hypographa Varga et Ronkay, 2002 [Ronkay, Ronkay, increased by six species and reached the value of 866 ones. 2008; Schintlmeister, 2008; Varga, Ronkay, 2002]. One In 2017–2020 the studies of noctuoid moths of this species, Euxoa hilaris (Freyer, 1838), was misidentified country were continued. As a result, 12 species were (it is in fact E. difficillima Draudt, 1937). Thus, the species recorded in Kyrgyzstan for the first time. We would like to number of noctuoid moths at the moment of the book present new data about the moths of this superfamily from publication was in fact 860. After mentioned publication, Kyrgyzstan in this paper. the following species have been recorded or described from Kyrgyzstan: Manulea palliatella (Scopoli, 1763), Material and methods M. pygmaeola (Doubleday, 1847), Catocala pudica Moore, 1879, Euchalcia kondarensis Klyuchko, 1989, Polychrysia Material was collected at night using light traps; wine iuno Korb et Matov, 2020, Athaumasta kyrkyza Pekarsky, traps were also used. Supposedly they were either erroneously determinated or incorrect noted from the region under consideration since Eversmann 's work. 289 species are recorded from the re gion in addition to Eversmann 's list. This paper is the fifth in a series of publications1 dealing with the composition of the pres ent-day fauna of noctuid-moths in the Middle Volga and the south-western Cisurals. This re gion comprises the administrative divisions of the Astrakhan, Volgograd, Saratov, Samara, Uljanovsk, Orenburg, Uralsk and Atyraus (= Gurjev) Districts, together with Tataria and Bash kiria. As was accepted in the first part of this series, only material reliably labelled, and cover ing the last 20 years was used for this study. The main collections are those of the authors: V. • Lepidoptera, Noctuidae)

This text defines in particular the criteria for an area to be qualified for designation as a biosphere reserve (Article 4). In addition, Article 9 foresees a periodic review every ten years The periodic review is based on a report prepared by the relevant authority, on the basis of the criteria of Article 4. The periodic review must be submitted by the national MAB Committee to the MAB Secretariat in Paris. The text of the Statutory Framework is presented in the third annex. The form which follows is provided to help States prepare their national reports in accordance with Article 9 and to update the Secretariat's information on the biosphere reserve concerned. This report should enable the International Coordinating Council (ICC) of the MAB Programme to review how each biosphere reserve is fulfilling the criteria of Article 4 of the Statutory Framework and, in particular, the three functions: conservation, development and support. It should be noted that it is requested, in the last part of the form (Criteria and Progress Made), that an indication be given of how the biosphere reserve fulfils each of these criteria.

The check list includes 216 species. The map of collecting localities is presented. Key words: Lepidoptera, Noctuidae, Erebidae, Asia, Kazakhstan, Saur, fauna. INTRODUCTION The fauna of noctuoid moths (the families Erebidae and Noctuidae) of Kazakhstan is still poorly studied. Only the fauna of West Kazakhstan has been studied satisfactorily (Gorbunov 2011). On the faunas of other parts of the country, only fragmentary data are published (Lederer, 1853; 1855; Aibasov & Zhdanko 1982; Hacker & Peks 1990; Lehmann et al. 1998; Benedek & Bálint 2009; 2013; Korb 2013). In contrast to the West Kazakhstan, the fauna of noctuid moths of East Kazakhstan was studied inadequately.

D. Kravchenko, A.-L.-L. Friedman & G. C. Müller Abstract The Lebanon and Anti-Lebanon ridges are located in the middle of a narrow “Mediterranean ecozone” corridor stretching along the Levantine coast. Both ridges are high enough to feature a complete range of altitude zones, which includes an alpine tragacanth belt (> 2000 m a.s.l.). The southernmost part of the Anti-Lebanon ridge is situated in the northernmost part of Israel. Among the 548 Israeli Noctuidae species, 106 species (21%) occur only in this small mountainous area. Among them, 17 are endemic and the populations of the remaining 89 species are at the edge of their distribution range.
