We are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Jerry Brown''to succeed Mr. Virgil Do Vore as General Manager of the Ranch and Golf Clubs. Virgil elected to return to his first love, teaching in the Lancaster school system. However, he and his family will remain very much in evidence in the future as their home will continue to be on the Ranch. Mr. Brown and Phyllis join our family as highly motivated people who also reside at the Ranch and have found time to join in many of our related, activi- ties. Jerry resigned his seventeen year position with Jewel City Glass Company to become an integral part of our management team. Welcome aboard, friend!

Long time members of Lake Elizabeth, we welcome Harry and Alice to our list of permanent residents. Lawrence and Mildred Taylor, and Russ and Mablc Quinn's new homes are under construction on Ranch Club Road. Building is by Rodine Enterprises, In addition to these, Rodine has started construction on the Perrin and Broden homes. Our own Rancho Sierra Construction Company has been busy, too. We have Jim and Charlotte Farinash's large home closed in — the roof on Bernie and Mary White's, also Forrest and Virginia Lloyd's; and the grading completed on Keith and Mary Helse's homesite. We are also working on a room addition for Rev. Jonas. All in all, building is booming at Lake Elizabeth. SCHEDULE OF EVENTS We've all had a lot of fun this summer with the Moonlight Trail Rides, Fiesta Days, Breakfast Trail Rides and plenty of good weather for Swimming and Picnicking. Now, with the shorter days and cooler nights, we begin our Winter Season. We have planned a schedule that I believe everyone will enjoy, especially if you participate! The following are the highlights of our program and we are looking forward to seeing you.

October 28th HALLOWEEN COSTUME DANCE & RANCH AND GOLF MEMBER GOLF TOURNAMENT The Halloween Dance is one of the best events of the year. We'll have trophies for the best cos- tumes and a good band playing for your dancing enjoyment from 8:00 to Midnight. It might be a good idea to reserve a lodge for the evening and really make a night of it! An added feature of this year's Halloween Dance will be The Golf Club/Ranch Club Golf Tour- ney. This program will start at 10:00 a.m. Please call the Glendale office to reserve a starting time and be sure to include your guests. November llth HARVEST MOON DANCE This is the. formal Dance of (he year. We've scheduled a fine dance band and will have our Annual Waltz Contest with trophys being awarded to the winners. November 23rd THANKSGIVING DAY Thanksgiving Day has traditionally been a Day of Feast in the company of good friends . . . Where else could you find a nicer group of friends than at the Club? The chef is already placing her orders for the finest turkeys to be found in Southern California. Don't fight the cooking problem at borne — bring Mom to the Club and let her enjoy the Holiday, too. Dinner is served from 12:00 Noon to 7:00 p.m., or until the last tummy is filled! December 16th CHRISTMAS PARTY This is a wonderful event to bring the children to. After a full day of fun, we pass out the song sheets at 7:00 p.m. and gather around the piano for some old-fashioned carol singing. Santa Claus shows up at about 9:00 to talk to the children and pass out some fruit and candy. For the parents, we'll have coffee, punch and cookies being served in the Dining Room. December 31st NEW YEARS EVE Ring out the Old and Ring in the New at Lake Elizabeth! Yes! the whole gang will be at the Club celebrating New Year's Eve with Hats, Balloons, Noisemakers and Good Cheer. We'll sing Auld Lang Syne at Midnight and dance our way into 1968. All the fun starts at 8:00. Be there!!
