Begin your journey by landing in Kunming; here you will head to the Stone Forest where you will enjoy perusing Karst topography at this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
From Kunming to Mengzi you can enjoy the peaceful views and wonderful landscape during your relaxing car ride. Nanhu Lake is a must see, this natural reservoir is located next to Ge Lu Shi restaurant, a great scenic spot.
Explore Be Se Zhai Train Station at Yuanyang, the proud international hub of Yunnan over 100 years ago. French and American companies established a headquarters here, their influence visible in the French styled narrow gauged railroad.
Jianshui houses the Zhu Family Garden; your hotel will be found inside this huge 20,000 square meter space containing much history, one can easily spend much time learning of the family background and wonderful structure.

Day 1 Hong Kong – Kunming Arrive in Kunming at 1430hrs, enjoy your meet & greet at the airport followed by your hotel transfer.
Your lunch will be included as part of the tour however your dinner will be on your own account from days 2-8.
Day 2 Kunming - Mengzi Enjoy your morning drive to Stone Forest (Shilin) (approx. 1hr.). Explore this UNESCO listed site containing incredible Karst topography.
Once ready, you shall be escorted to Mengzi via Mi’leand Kaiyuan, enjoy the peaceful views and incredible landscape during this ride (approx. 3 hrs.). Stone Forest
In the evening head to Nanhu Lake, a natural reservoir, fish farm and wonderful scenic spot. Here you can also visit Ge Lu Shi restaurant, once the office of a French trading company from the early 20th century.

Day 3 Mengzi – Yuanyang Today you will be driven to the wonderful Bi Se Zhai Train Station. Visit the village of Bi Se Zhai which was the proud international hub of Yunnan over 100 years ago. American and French companies joined together and set up headquarters here, frequently visiting Mengzi while established the French styled narrow gauged railroad.
Afterwards enjoy a peaceful journey to the old town of Yuanyang. We highly Bi Se Zhai Train Station recommend checking in at the hotel before driving out to watch the incredible sunset on the terraced paddies over Laohuzuiand Panzhihua.

Day 4 Yuanyang It is well worth getting up early in the morning to watch the sunrise over the terraced paddies at Shang Guan Ping, Duoyishu and Baba.
The village of Qingkou is your next stop, here you can visit the quaint Hani minority filled area. The square inside the village, paved by flagstones, is the center of the area. To the east, behind two bronze drums you can find the Cultural Exhibition Hall of the Hani Ethnic Group. In the north of the square you will discover peaceful Hani-style Qingkou wayside pavilions where people can go and relax.
If you want to experience the local lifestyle then we recommend eating a Hani minority meal, traditionally consisting of rice with corn and wheat as supplements, glutinous rice is enjoyed during festivals. Known for their rich meat of beef, mutton, pork, duck, fish chicken and river snails. Vegetables are limited, due to the geographic landscape, to soybeans, taro, celery and carrots.
Day 5 Yuanyang - Jianshui In the morning you shall be driven to Jianshui (approx. 3 hrs.), on the way stop over at a Yi minority village where you can peruse the peaceful local lifestyle.
Head over to the Zhu Family Garden, your hotel is inside. Explore the 20,000 square meters of space; discover how the place is separated into dwelling houses and ancestral halls, with 42 yards to check one can peacefully enjoy looking around this serene area.
Next we journey to the Confucius Temple, built in the Yuan Dynasty (1271 – 1368); this impressive structure stands out due to her large scale and traditional Chinese construction style. The third largest Confucius Temple in China, constant renovation has kept her in good shape, occupying an area of 7.6 hectares. Three memorial halls, eight decorative archways, two wins rooms and a great hall are only a small sample of what is on display.

Day 6 Jianshui - Simao Begin your day by heading over to the Double Dragon Bridge, located west of Jianshui County. This 17 arch stone bridge towers across Nanpan River and Tachong River, zigzagging like two dragons. Construction was completed in the 1800s during the Qing Dynasty; tens of thousands of bluestones were used. Considered a masterpiece of traditional Chinese bridge- making, all the classic components of this style have been used, today this bridge is under the protection of the Yunnan Provincial Heritage Trust.
Double Dragon Bridge Head over to Tuanshan Village, 13 kms west of Jianshui town, originally a Yi minority village, in Chinese the word Tushou, from the Yi ethnic language, means ‘a beautiful place with golden and silver’. Ancient traditional architectures remain intact, houses consisting of tile roofs and clay walls are worth visiting, the watchtower also gives a great view of the area. The highlight of this village is the Zhang Family Garden.
Put your feet up in the afternoon when you are driven to Simao (approx. 5.5hrs.), on the way Tuanshan Village you will see Mojiang and Pu’er.
Day 7 Simao - Jinghong Today you shall see the great landscape and wonderful wildlife of the area, beginning with a drive to Jinghong (approx. 2hrs.), on the way visit the Wild Elephant Valley, considered a symbol of might longevity and good fortune, elephants are very respected by the Dai people. The valley covers over 360 hectares, spanning across rain forests and rolling hills.

Day 8 Jinghong Your final full day of the trip will be spent in relaxation, starting with a trip to the local market, experience the lovely local scene of the Dai Village, which contains a lovely garden.
Be sure to visit the Tropical Botanical Garden at Menglun around the afternoon, located on Hulu Island of Menglun Township. Known as the ‘Green Gem on the Crown of the Kingdom of Plants’. Established in 1959, this impressive area of 860 hectares contains thousands of tropical and subtropical plans and interesting Tropical Botanical Garden wildlife.
Day 9 Jinghong – Hong Kong Say goodbye to Jinghong today as you are transferred to Jinghong Airport in the morning for your flight to Kunming (approx. 1hr.). From here take your connecting flight via your own tickets to Hong Kong.
