President’s Report

G'Day Members & Friends, We started off the day with our AGM. Not a lot of members. around 30, but there were still enough to hold the meeting. The changes to the committee are Louise & Kevin Vardon have stepped down from their positions as Treasurer and General Committee . We’re now looking for more people to come on board. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Louise & Kevin for their hard work over the 11 years or so that they have been a part of the committee. Well moving onto our club show, what a great day we had for August. The Jukebox Boys were excellent. With great numbers through the door and great entertainment we were set for an en- joyable day. Our guest artist was Tiffney Reynolds who also performed very well. Thanks guys for a great afternoon. Moving onto our September show we will have Palomino Deluxe with Taylor Pfeiffer as our guest artist. This will be another great day. So until then. Keep It Country. Regards, Keith Warren President / Entertainment Officer

President’s Report G'Day Members & Friends, What a weekend we had this month, starting off on Saturday with the open Mic, we had a tribute show for one of our life members Roger Howard. Roger lost his short battle with a brain tumour. Roger joined the Gawler Country Music Club in 1993 and went on to hold various positions on the committee. He and wife Lorraine stepped down from the committee about the year 2000, also be- coming a life member around the same time. Roger contributed time to set up the open mic, which he was a part of every month. Roger was a massive country music fan, a big Slim Dusty fan. “Roger, you were a legend not only in your family’s eyes, but a lot of people who knew you. Rest in peace Roger and say G'Day to Slim” I am starting this month’s report off with a warm welcome to our new treasurer Bruce Goodridge. Bruce has been a member for just on twelve months. He has had a lot of experience in finance, hav- ing worked in a bank, was the finance manager for a car dealership and had his own business. He has recently retired from a sales position with a new car dealer. Thanks Bruce for coming on board. On our club show day, Bruce's wife Karol came on board as a general committee person. Thanks Bruce & Karol. Well our September show was another great day. Palomino Deluxe were fantastic, great music enter- taining our patrons. Our guest artist was Taylor Pfeiffer who also was great. What an enjoyable after- noon was had by all. Thank you to everyone who came along. Moving on to our October show, we will have Heartland with Ella Radbone as our guest artist. So we hope to see you then. Keep It Country. Regards, Keith Warren President / Entertainment Officer
