IT Department Supports Local Food Bank

n a community service effort, a group of Iemployees and their families from PAG’s corporate IT Department volunteered at the Gleaners Food Bank in Detroit, Michigan. A total of 3,600 pounds of donated food was processed in one day by the team. Leading up to the volunteering day, the team also held a food and money drive at the corporate office and collected three hundred and sixty pounds of food along with almost seven hundred dollars in donations. Although your area may not be in a designated hurricane area, storms often move inland and stall for long periods of time, unleashing severe weather and flooding. The amount of work required to respond to an actual event becomes less of a burden when there are fewer unknowns. Undesirable situations can be eliminated, and losses mitigated. Manage rather than react. Having a plan allows you to make decisions about emergency response and recovery before an emergency situation develops, when you are best able to make difficult decisions.

enske Commercial Vehicles (PCV) is set to make its mark in Australia’s Pdefense sector signing a significant multi-million dollar contract with MAN Rheinmetall Military Vehicles (RMMVA). As part of the Land 121 program, Penske’s Wacol-based business will provide integrated service and spare parts for a new fleet of over 2,500 medium and heavy-duty military logistics vehicles. All vehicles will be supplied by RMMVA to the Commonwealth of Australia by late 2016, with final installation work to be carried out by PCV in Australia. PCV will also coordinate the integration and supply of spare parts for the vehicles once they enter into service with the Australian Defense Force. Nearly 70,000 people live at the poverty level in Coventry. In 2015 alone, Coventry Food Bank served 18,500 people across the city. A special event was held on December 9 from 4:00-6:00 pm in the Land Rover showroom that included an open-door invitation for customers to drop off their donations. Thirty children from Berkswell School were singing Christmas carols, and players from Wasps Rugby Club were on hand to meet the pupils and talk to customers. Last week I jumped in it to run to a meeting, and it would not move and displayed the “Drivetrain Malfunction” warning. So I called Andy Hathaway (who has been my Service Advisor through many previous and current BMW’s). To complicate matters, the car was parked (and disabled completely) under my race car (on a hydraulic lift) and in my garage, which is down a steep, curving driveway… so no way to get a tow truck to it… assuming we could get it out of the garage.
