Senior Production Planner - Temporary The Senior Production Planner is responsible for the preparation, issuance, revision, and follow-up of production plans and machine schedules for particular factory segment and ensures customers’ requirements are considered for plant workload, capacity, and material constraints. The successful candidate will work closely with management teams including Lead Production Planners, General Supervisors, Purchasing/Expediting, Logistics, Engineering, and Quality representatives on special projects, production issues, and inventory reduction efforts. Key duties:

 Determine if SAP planning run results are meeting production targets and key performance indicator targets of assigned factory segment by reviewing daily system alerts, schedules, and data.  Prepare daily short term schedule for manufacturing and review plans for capacity, manning requirements, materials, equipments, etc.  Evaluate mid-term and long-term schedules for assigned factory segment on a daily basis  Directly coordinate the daily activities of manufacturing  Ensure Master Data accuracy of scheduling parameters  Responsible for analyzing alternate materials and minimizing obsolescence  Maintain production order integrity when converting planned orders into production orders  Ensure appropriate inventory levels are in adherence with company supply policies  Identify and reconcile actual and SAP inventory discrepancies through analysis and investigation of Cycle Counts and Failed Goods Movements  Ensure standard inventory, volume, schedule, downtime, obsolescence, substitution, and set-up reduction targets are met

Qualifications:

 College degree (B.A./B.S.) plus up to 2 years related experience ( OR Associates degree with up to 4 yrs experience), working in an SAP production planning environment  Excellent time management, organizational, and mathematical ability  Complete knowledge of Advanced Planning Systems/APO and personal computer skills  Strong interpersonal skills  Exceptional ability to react quickly and appropriately in a fast-paced dynamic environment and meet multiple deadlines  Demonstrated ability to independently, prioritize multiple tasks and projects, analyze data and implement appropriate decisions
