JOE: RETALIATION will now be released in 3D. The film, originally slated for release in June 2012, is scheduled to be released March 29, 2013. Toy Box Wish List Children being treated for cancer and blood disorders at Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital must undergo months and sometimes years of tests, procedures, and treatments. To help make this easier, the patients earn coupons for cooperating with physical exams, treatments and painful procedures.These coupons can then be redeemed for prizes from our toy box. Getting to go “shopping” at the end of a clinic visit creates great excitement for our children. Holiday donations also are used to help "Santa" fill bags for any children or teenagers who may have to be in the hospital during Christmas. We also use toys during the week of CAMP KEMO in our prize room. Each year during our carnival, patients are able to earn tickets for playing games. At the end of the evening they are able to take their tickets to the “Prize Room” and pick out their prizes. Below is a list of toys and prize suggestions. Action figures - Spiderman, Transformers, wrestlers, etc. Arts & crafts kits Balls – (Nerf, footballs, basketballs, etc.) Board games Cars and trucks Card games – ex. CHILD DEVELOPMENT KNOWLEDGE AND HUMAN FACTORS IN TOY DESIGN: AN EXPLORATORY STUDY OF POPULAR CHILDREN'S PRODUCTS by Alexandra Lopez July, 2012 Director of Thesis: Sandra Triebenbacher, PhD Major Department: Child Development and Family Relations Play reflects how children understand the world, and it also provides them with opportunities to learn and refine their social, emotional, motor, and problem-solving skills. Before designing a product such as a children's toy, it is important for the engineer to consider all of the tasks that users will be executing with the finished product. From a general human factors perspective, physical and cognitive operations are the primary categories of tasks that are deliberated. The purpose of this study is to assess if child development theory and knowledge informs the design process of those who create children’s products. Patents of toys (n=38) selected to be included in this study were analyzed to see if and how knowledge of child development was incorporated into the development of the product, as well as to evaluate if there have been any changes in the use of child development knowledge in toy design. The results indicated that toy patents in this study did utilize knowledge of child development and demonstrated a significant increase in the utilization of child development knowledge more frequently in contemporary toys, particularly in cognitive learning. Overall, there were strong correlations between the number of evidence pieces within the patent discussing various child development topics, -

As you read about all of the great things happening within your company, we hope that Hasbro brings out the kid in all of you and that you continue to personally discover the magic within our brands! 2007 Highlights In 2007, Hasbro had a very strong year and delivered record-breaking results, in spite of the challenges facing the toy industry. We started 2007 strong, performed well throughout the year, and fi nished with a robust fourth quarter, even though the industry saw a holiday season that was negatively affected by a weak retail environment and the impact of the lead paint recalls. We were proud that Hasbro avoided any lead paint recalls --- a tribute to our commitment to product safety. Our growth was broad based, both in terms of geography and product categories, and we continued to drive innovation in all aspects of our business. All in all, Hasbro had an extraordinary year! We have accomplished a great deal over the past six years --- growing revenues at a compounded annual growth rate of over 6%, surpassing our longer-term goal of 3-5% per year, and achieving an operating margin of 13.5%, also exceeding our target of 12% or better, set several years ago. -
