We will mail you a volunteer form that can be mailed directly to Cessna Aircraft Company. To volunteer a Citation Jet: Next summer’s airlift will be the largest Citation Airlift ever. More than 140 corporations and individual Citation owners and operators have already volunteered their Citation business jets, pilots, and fuel to transport athletes and coaches to the Games. According to Cessna, more Citations are still needed and efforts are ongoing to secure those aircraft.

There, Ann Pellegreno was presented the most prestigious award the FAA can issue to pilots who have exhibited professionalism, skill, and aviation expertise for at least 50 years. In 1967, Pellegreno successfully flew a Lockheed 10 Electra on a world flight, closely mirroring Amelia Earhart's flight plan of 1937. On the 30th anniversary of Earhart's disappearance, Pellegreno personally dropped a wreath over tiny Howland Island, where Amelia Earhart was expected to arrive for refueling, but never arrived. Pellegreno then returned to Oakland, CA, completing the 28,000-mile flight on July 7, 1967. Her accomplishments were far reaching, as she became a top female influencer on the aviation scene. Pellegreno served on the Iowa Aeronautics Commission from 1974 to 1975 and on the Iowa Department of Transportation Commission from 1974 to 1976; she was the first woman in the nation to be appointed to a state DOT commission. Pellegreno has received the honors of being inducted into the Forest of Friendship at Atchison, the Kansas, Iowa and Michigan Aviation Halls of Fame, EAA Hall of Fame Antique/Classic Division, and the Iowa Women's Hall of Fame. In Atchison, Kansas, she received the Amelia Earhart Pioneering Aviation Achievement Award. From the Iowa DOT Aviation Division, she received the 2010 Outstanding Involvement in Aviation Award.
