Reggie was a key participant in the Modern Jazz revolution of the 80’s and 90’s. He became known touring, recording and performing with Steve Coleman, Bran- ford Marsalis, Roy Hargrove, Chico Hamilton, Oliver Lake, Cassandra Wilson, Don Byron, Jean-Paul Bourelly, Lester Bowie, Meshell Ndegeocello to name a few. In 2005, Reggie began successfully touring with his own bands. They were a mix of American & European musicians such as Ravi Coltrane, Gene Lake, Stéphane Galland, Jef Lee Johnson, Erwin Vann, Jacques Schwarz-Bart, E.J. Strickland, Jozef Dumoulin, Matthew Garrison, Marcus Strickland, Jason Lindner, Poogie Bell and Ronny Drayton. EME 34 EDITION DU FESTIVAL JAZZ SUR SON 31 - DU 7 AU 18 OCTOBRE 2020 Présentation du festival Après cette période suspendue, il était primordial de renouer avec le plaisir d’être ensemble et de se retrouver. Le Conseil départemental de la Haute-Garonne manifeste une nouvelle fois son soutien indéfectible à la filière culturelle en lançant la 34ème édition du Festival Jazz sur son 31, qui aura lieu du 7 au 18 octobre. Cette nouvelle édition s’accompagne de changements dans la programmation et s’adapte aux mesures sanitaires pour assurer la sécurité du public, des artistes et des équipes. Cette année 36 manifestations sont organisées dans 16 communes, de Toulouse aux salles de spectacles et salles des fêtes du département, dont 28 manifestations gratuites et seulement 8 concerts payants. Au programme de cette édition ; Thomas Dutronc et son dernier projet Frenchy, la soul britanique d’Hanna Williams & The Affirmations, le dernier projet In Odd We Trust des trois compères du RP3 – Rémi Panossian Trio, la saxophoniste française Sophie Alour et le guitariste Lionel Loueke en solo… La programmation 2020 Le Pavillon République – 12 concerts gratuits retransmis en direct Le lieu incontournable, cœur du festival, dans la cour de l’Hôtel du Département, entre afro jazz, soul music, jazz français… Les concerts seront retransmis en direct sur la chaîne YouTube du Conseil départemental.
