SQI is proud to support School Sport Soball to deliver their programs and championships. The entry of Men's Soball in 1985/86 at Redlands hastened the ground development and also aided the man‐power for working bees. It now became the Redland Soball Associaon. Connued growth demanded a clubhouse and the facility as it is today began to take shape.

Alice has taken on most roles during her me in soball. In her coaching capacity Alice coached school teams, club teams and representave teams in the Redlands area from 1974 through to the 1990’s. She has nurtured many young girls encouraging them to achieve their dreams. As with many soball volunteers, Alice spent many games ‘behind the plate’ umpiring games for her club. She also umpired for primary schools at the local, regional and state levels.

Soball Queensland hosted the 2010/11 Gilley’s Shield 2010/11 Gilley’s Shield Finals Series and John Reid Finals Series and John Reid Shield in February 2011. Shield ‐ Media Coverage Major League assisted with the promoon of these events through various media channels which resulted in just under $40,000 of media coverage for the month of February. Major League also devised the “Biggest Soball Fan” compeon through the Bayside/ Redlands newspapers as a way of increasing media coverage for the event.

In addion to the Yellow Socks video, Major League produced and distributed a promoonal video about the QLD Patriots preparaon for the John Reid Shield January 2011 and QLD Heat leading into their season in late 2010. These proved popular with the Heat Pre

Amongst the compeon, partying and excing mes over the weekend, many great memories and friendly rivalries were made. The SQ Masters Tournament connues to grow each year and 2010 was no excepon with an astonishing growth of 15 teams, bringing it to a record 96 teams, with over 1200 players parcipang in the 3 day tournament.
