The proton- deficient and heteroatom-rich structures of macrophilones B−G(2−7) were elucidated by spectroscopic analysis and comparison of their data with those of the previously reported metabolite macrophilone A (1). Compounds 1−7 are the first pyrroloiminoquines to be reported from a hydroid. The macrophilones were shown to inhibit the enzymatic conjugation of SUMO to peptide substrates, and macro- philones A (1) and C (3) exhibit potent and selective cytotoxic properties in the NCI-60 anticancer screen. Bioinformatic analysis revealed a close association of the cytotoxicity profiles of 1 and 3 with two known B-Raf kinase inhibitory drugs. While compounds 1 and 3 showed no kinase inhibitory activity, they resulted in a dramatic decrease in cellular protein levels of selected components of the ERK signal cascade. Specimens were obtained from aglaopheniid hydrozoans of the genus Macro- rhynchia. The new species is here described and figured. Its affinities with related species are discussed and a DNA-bar- code is provided. For some of these groups new genera were erected, e.g. Ancylomenes Okuno & Bruce, 2010 for the ‘Periclimenes aesopius species group’. For several of these species groups however, no solid morphological synapomorphies have been found to classify them in their own genus. Examples are the ‘Periclimenes iridescens species group’ known from the Atlantic and first distinguished by Heard & Spotte (1991), the ‘Periclimenes diversipes species group’ designated by Bruce (1989), the ‘Periclimenes granulimanus species group’ designated by Ďuriš (2010), and the ‘Periclimenes obscurus species group’ which was designated by Bruce (1987).

During the study period of February 2017,the Macrorhynchia philippina species associated on the dead /degraded reef flats and absence in the healthy reef. The increased occurrence of M. Philippina colonies were observed based on the substratum availability of dead coral reef. The study has reviled, the M.Phiippina preferably grow on the dead reef part and the increased occurrence act as the indicator species for the reef health assessment. Until now, only 19 species of heterobranch sea slugs have been formally reported from this area; this number constitutes a fraction of total diversity in the Caribbean region. Results: Based on newly conducted fieldwork, we increase the number of recorded heterobranch sea slug species in Bocas del Toro to 82. Descriptive information for each species is provided, including taxonomic and/or ecological notes for most taxa. The collecting effort is also described and compared with that of other field expeditions in the Caribbean and the tropical Eastern Pacific. Conclusions: This increase in known diversity strongly suggests that the distribution of species within the Caribbean is still poorly known and species ranges may need to be modified as more surveys are conducted.
