With the first issue of Psychobabble, 2012 can now officially begin…

In this first edition we have news of a new person in the School (Rochelle Stewart-Allen), someone who’s been here a little while but now in a new role (Tahlia), and news that PSYC@Vic is apparently taking over the International Journal of Intercultural Relations. As well as some changes for the new, we also have some changes of the old. Prof. John McClure returns to the back benches having Headed the School for a significant portion of the past two years (thanks also to Bart, and everyone else that supported John). Rochelle replaces Morgan, and Matt Gerrie is apparently finally growing up and leaving us after many, many, many, years. I was going to try to embarrass him by alluding to his first-year marks but it turns out I was just a tutor back then! It must have been a good year, because this bunch also started with Matt: Pippa McKelvie, Deryn Strange, Katja Bulic, David Gittings, Stephen Hollis, Jessica Shaw, Merima Isakovic, Christopher Sibley, Annemette Sorenson, Lauren Cloutman, and Stella McGough to name a few. Congratulations Matt and all the best, you get to tell me what life after VUW is like. And to everyone else, I wish you a great 2012 and look forward to sharing your successes in Psychobabble – keep the news rolling in.
