Colour Run We are very excited to bring you news of our brand new event! • Sunday 10th September is the date for Derby Hospitals Charity’s first ever Colour Run around Derby’s Markeaton Park. • We are looking forward to a crazily colourful, party style, fun-packed fundraiser for all the family. • We really hope you will come along to join in the fun! • Registration £20 for adults and £10 for under 16’s and you will receive a free white t-shirt. Spring/Summer 2017 03 Fundraisers

Our fantastic fundraisers have been very busy once again

Smalley Fest 2016 at The Bell in Smalley raised a fantastic £2,450 for Ward 303. Thanks to the ladies of Mickleover WI group for raising £200 for the Curry’s PC World at the Meteor Centre Breast Unit. raised over £200 for the Children’s wards with a fun day with a bouncy castle and a host of Star Wars characters.

Leanne Plimmer, braved the hot coals of our Firewalk and raised £349.60 for the Children’s A&E Department. Well done ladies!

Thanks again to our fantastic porters here at the Royal Derby Hospital! They raised £1,210 with their Christmas raffle last year and this time the money was donated to Dolphin Ward at the Children’s Hospital. Spring/Summer 2017 05 Fundraisers

Mrs Sue Wroe organised a fundraising evening in Ashbourne Town Hall in November 2016 which raised £1,500 for the Breast Unit.

Mr Rob Corby, Past President of Chromalloy Site Manager Alistair Burns Rotary Club of Etwall & Hilton and Head of Operations Nick Smith donated £500 to the Voluntary visited Ward 312 to donate £601.50 to Services fund. Mr Malcolm Smith donated £1,000.72 for the Lung Cancer fund in memory of his wife Mrs Sheelagh Smith. 06 Helen Pattison and Peak Dance Academy raised £300 for the Children’s Hospital and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit with their Christmas dance show. Dance students visited the hospital with their proud parents to present the money to Holly Lynam and Anita Marshall.

Mr Balbir Aujla and friends Jarnail Toor and Avtar Jawanda took on the challenge of walking from Nottingham to Derby and raised an amazing £2,100 for the Combined Day Unit! This is a fantastic annual event.

Chaucer Junior School raised £221 through their School Enterprise Scheme for the Childrens hospital. Marlene Bennett, Leader of Alfreton Town Council, organised various fundraising events to raise £1,101.87 which she presented to staff from the Breast Unit.

Spring/Summer 2017 07 Nightingale Macmillan Unit Fundraisers

Thanks go to Lee Redfern, grandson of our volunteer Eileen Hadfield who had a garden party at Eileen’s home and raised £600 for the Unit which was also matched by Barclays bank.

Allan Salmon’s family hosted a concert at the Littleover Methodist Church raising £553.50.

Tom Sheldon and friends who made an album called the Belper Beats & Cross Keys which they launched at Hacketts Bar in Belper and raised an amazing £2,725.

Mr Alan King and colleagues organise an annual Steam Traction Engine Pull which this year raised an amazing £6,332 for the Unit.
