The European Commission is fully committed to pursuing the objectives of the Energy1 Union strategy. In this context, the Commission is promoting diversification and competitive gas markets in the EU. In order to complete the internal energy’ market, the Commission supports infrastructure projects of common interest, which improve the interconnectivity between the Member States. Furthermore, the Commission, together with the Member States, is working to improve the resilience of the EU gas system to security of supply threats. To this end. the Commission has proposed a revised Regulation on security of gas supplies on which the European Parliament and the Council have recently reached an agreement. As regards Nord Stream 2, the Commission considers that the project is not in line with the policy objectives of the Energy' Union as it will not give access to a new supply source. Nord Stream 2, if built, cannot and should not be operated in a legal void or solely according to the law of a third country.     Social Communication 59 Volume 2 (2016), pp. 59-71 DOI: 10.1515/sc-2016-0012 POST-DEPENDENCE DISCOURSE IN THE LANGUAGE OF POLITICIANS OF Prawo i SPrawiedliwość and PLATFORMA OBYWATELSKA Kamil Olechowski1 Abstract The aim of this thesis was to analyze the speeches of politicians of the two largest Polish parties: Prawo i Sprawiedliwość and Platforma Obywatelska, using post-dependence theory. The work describes postcolonial and post-dependence theories, presents socially political divisions – in the categories of right wing and left wing politics – and describes the methodological issues of critical discourse analysis. The subject of analysis in the research part of the thesis were politics’ speeches on the following topics: the “Rodzina 500+” programme, terrorist attacks, the dispute with the Constitutional Court in Poland, Brexit and the Smolensk catastrophe. The goal of the anal- ysis was to find the post-dependence discourse features. Key words: post-dependence, politics, discourse Introduction In recent years, postcolonialism is one of the most popular theories within the humanities. Based on the interdisciplinarity and study of discourse, it tries to find in the texts the trace left by the difficult experience of being a subordinate. Originally it was addressed to analyze the discourse concerning the so-called Third World countries, which in their history were the subject of colonization by the Western countries. The theory initiated by Edward Said in his book entitled Orientalism (1995) as- sumes the existence of a number of specific phenomena affecting the mentality and identity of society, which are reflected exactly in a discourse. These are, among others, inferiority complex towards the countries, which in the past dominated over the given community, or mythologized image of a given country before the occupation.

W dniach 13 – 16 maja 2020 r. w Brukseli odbyła się sesja Parlamentu Europejskiego. Podczas sesji podjęto następujące tematy: Wspólna debata - Konkluzje z posiedzenia nadzwyczajnego Rady Europejskiej w dniu 23 kwietnia 2020 r. Oświadczenie Rady i Komisji Europejskiej - Nowe Wspólne Ramy Finansowe, środki własne i plan naprawczy Oświadczenie Rady i Komisji Na początku debaty wystąpił Charles Michel, przewodniczący RE. Oświadczył, że kryzys związany z pandemią COVID-19 jest bezprecedensowy, musimy więc podjąć decyzje bezprecedensowe. Ponad 540 mld euro ma być skierowane na wsparcie miejsc pracy, przedsiębiorstw oraz państw członkowskich. Obecnie szczególnie ważne zadanie – to przywrócenie funkcjonowania rynku wewnętrznego UE. Pandemia nie może anulować ambicji w zakresie cyfryzacji, nadal trzeba walczyć ze zmianami klimatycznymi, stąd aktualność Europejskiego Zielonego Ładu. Unia musi wyciągnąć wnioski z przeszłości, zadbać o strategiczne działy produkcji (m. in. leki, środki ochronne), by były wytwarzane z etykietą „Made in Europe”. Biorąc pod uwagę olbrzymie następstwa kryzysu epidemiologicznego należy wynegocjować ambitny wieloletni budżet (WRF), ale te środki nie wystarczą. Zostanie stworzony Fundusz Naprawczy, aby zmobilizować więcej środków finansowych. Ch. Borel powtarzał: - więcej spójności, konwergencji, integracji, współpracy i solidarności. Wspominając 70. lecie Deklaracji Roberta Schumana wskazał, że podobnie jak zaraz po II wojnie św., Europejczycy wykażą się odwagą, kreacyjnością, aby w dramacie tego kryzysu z energią przeprowadzić odbudowę i transformację europejską. Z kolei zabrała głos Ursula von der Leyen, przewodnicząca KE.

    Bruksela, dnia 8 lipca 2014 r. Sprawozdanie nr 64/2014 Sprawozdanie nt. obsady stanowisk w Parlamencie Europejskim 2014-2019 Bruksela, 8 lipca 2014 r. Metodologia Podstawą rozstrzygnięć pomiędzy grupami politycznymi, jak i wewnątrz grup politycznych dotyczących obsady kluczowych stanowisk w PE jest system d’Hondta. Cały proces przebiega w toku negocjacji politycznych, w których ścierają się interesy grup politycznych oraz delegacji narodowych. W grupach politycznych, w zależności od liczby uzyskanych mandatów, tworzy się specjalny system punktów, przy wykorzystaniu którego dokonuje się podziału konkretnych stanowisk. W całym procesie dba się o zrównoważoną reprezentację dużych delegacji krajowych we wszystkich gremiach – np. także na stanowiskach wiceprzewodniczących PE (stanowiska reprezentacyjne o mniejszym znaczeniu politycznym, ale ważne dla prestiżu całego PE). I. Przewodniczący PE Martin Schulz (S&D/Niemcy), kadencja lipiec 2014 – grudzień 2016; uzyskał poparcie 409 eurodeputowanych; Wyniki pozostałych kandydatów: Sajjad Karim (ECR/Wielka Brytania) – 101 głosów; Pablo Iglesias (GUE/NGL, Hiszpania) – 51 głosów; Ulrike Lunacek (Zieloni/EFA, Austria) – 51 głosów.
