Fundamental Freedoms Respected, Candidates Campaigned Freely in Georgian Elections Say Int’l Observers 21.10.2017, Tbilisi – Georgia conducted municipal elections for 2017, where the country elected authorities, including city mayors and members of city councils. 22 political parties, five election blocs, and one initiative group was registered at the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Georgia. International observers said that efficient administration of the elections and accurate voter registration contributed to the quality of the process.
