Analysis of th Environmental Capabilities for Tourism in South- West of Gilan (A Case Study of Shaft and Fouman)

It is a descriptive-analytic study that is analyzed environmental capabilities for tourism in south-west of Gilan, Shaft and Fouman cities, through library and documentary studies and field observations, interviews and investigate experts. The aim of this study is to analyze the environmental potentials for tourism in Fouman and shaft cities, identify and introduce their natural and human attractions and design tourism development strategies in them, achieve the suitable substrates for sustainable tourism development, marketing and advertising in order to attract tourists, prevent the destruction of the environment, enhance public participation to maintain tourist attractions, increase income and improve the quality of people's lives, prevent the migration of human populations living in towns and villages and provide the necessary solutions in the field of optimal utilization of the available potentials with an emphasis on ustainable development. Considering the environmental potential approach Emamzadeh Ebrahim has the highest component among tourist attractions in the Shaft which has 11 indexes of the above five components. After that, Emamzadeh Isaac is ranked in second level by 10 positive rating and 1 negative, Chubar Forest Park in third place with 9 points, the rivers in the city with 8 points was in forth level, despite the positive therapeutic and non- therapeutic potential of fountains that are used for drinking in most mountain villages, they were ranked in 7 level and had 4 points. Among the tourist attractions in Fouman, Masuleh and Rudkhan Castle had the highest component with 11 indexes of the above five components. After that, city park by 10 positive rating and 1 negative is ranked in second level, and religious buildings in Fouman and haram- sabzghaba and U'on -ebn-e Ali Holy Shrine in Masuleh were allocated third place with 9 points. Also, despite all attractions of countries in Fouman including Zudel Sar,

Kuhroobar and Andre, due to lack of proper facilities and institutional neglect were ranked 6 level with 5 points. In addition, natural waterfalls and fountains despite the positive therapeutic and non-therapeutic potential of fountains that are used for drinking in most mountain villages by 4 points have have the lowest rating in the city. In total, there are 77 positive and 33 negative rating for tourist attractions in shaft and coefficient of tourism potentials is 2.33. As well as, there are 81 positive and 29 negative rating for tourist attractions in Fouman and coefficient of tourism potentials is 2.79.
