Today the CLC facilities include conference rooms, multiple multifunctional class- rooms, breakout rooms, and computer-equipped laboratories. Facilities are equipped with cur- rent IT technology and VTC systems thereby offering the necessary means to enhance productiv- ity and communication. With an average of over 3000 visitors per year, the CLC is well positioned to provide essential lo- gistics and organizational support thus allowing trainers and participants to focus on the work at hand while enjoying their workshop and learning experience. The CLC assists trainers and participants with their accommodation, transportation from and to the base, post-travel services. In addition, CLC takes care of the printing of courses material, class- room setup according to specific requirements, and provides briefing packages and specialized services (recording of sessions, printing of DVDs, and note takers). Today the CLC also develops learning programmes, in-house training courses with both internal and external resources, briefing packages for new arrivals and delivers presentations to local schools to promote awareness and understanding of the GSC and its operations. Lastly, the CLC is the office that organizes and coordinates all UN and non-UN official visits to the UNGSC. All programs are coordinated in advance and base tours are individually organized to meet the objectives of each visit. With this purpose in mind, a variety of services is provided in an occupational setting taking into consideration the cultural diversity of the clientele and its propensity for travel. Main Services provided are: Emergency Care This provides first line primary care, emergency resuscitation, stabilization and evacua- tion of casualties to the Perrino Hospital in Brindisi. Walk-in clinic This facility is available for international staff members and their dependants, national staff members, contractors, and trainees working in the UN missions. • Initial care and support for minor injuries and acute health problems • Medical consultations • Glucose/diabetes testing, blood pressure • Appointments with specialists/laboratories/private clinics Medical records and documentation Patients are registered in a medical filing system. Medical information is treated as confi- dential and privileged information; this confidentiality is maintained at all times. Medical records or information are not released without proper authorization.
