SUMMARY OF THE LIGHT METAL AGE READERSHIP SURVEY

Circulation Breakdown Methodology Verified Audit Circulation conducted a Verification of Distribution and Readership Survey for LIGHT METAL AGE in November 2002. The study consisted of questionnaires mailed to an “Nth Number Select” sample of 505 names selected from the entire August 2002 circulation list. The questionnaire consisted of 9 questions, seven of which are summarized below. The information contained in this report summarizes the 99 valid responses to the survey. No incentive or other form of inducement was offered for participating in the survey. Please refer to the survey report for additional information.

Accuracy of Circulation List 7 questionnaires (1.4% of the 505 mailed) were returned by the U.S. Postal Service as non-deliverable, resulting in an Accuracy of Circulation List of 98.6%.

AUDIT OF INTERNAL RECORDS Verified conducted an audit of printing and distribution records to substantiate data submitted by the client publication. This examination followed guidelines prepared in conformity with generally accepted circulation auditing procedures, involving records covering all distribution methods utilized for qualified circulation during the period covered by this report. Standard methods of sample selection were used to verify individual subscriptions, payment for single copy sales, and business/industry classifications. Business/industry classifications were found to be accurate within ± 10.0%. The results of the audit warrant the issuance of this report as an accurate statement of the qualified circulation for the client publication.
