SMARTRIDER CONCESSION CARDS What do I need to know?

SmartRider Cards Students travelling on need a SmartRider concession card to obtain reduced fares and gain quick and easy access to railway stations. The SmartRider card is similar in size to a credit card and is available to all students. Holders of a SmartRider card are eligible for the student 70-cent fare. The card may be used on bus, rail and ferry services and country road and rail services throughout to obtain concessions.

The Public Transport Authority (PTA) will issue SmartRider cards for concession travel from data provided by Modern School. Parents and guardians must first give permission to allow us to provide the PTA with the data it needs to issue cards (photo, name, address, date of birth and student number). The PTA must comply with privacy requirements and will only use the information provided by Perth Modern School for the issuance of the SmartRider concession card.
