BAB V KESIMPULAN DAN SARAN A. Kesimpulan Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa: 1. Keanekaragaman serangga pengunjung bunga matahari berupa 28 spesies serangga pengunjung yang secara keseluruhan tergolong ke dalam 21 genus, 12 familia dan 5 ordo; dengan perbandingan jenis spesies yang paling dominan berasal dari ordo Hymenoptera yaitu 12 spesies, kemudian disusul oleh ordo Lepidoptera sebanyak 11 spesies, ordo Diptera sebanyak 3 spesies serta ordo Orthoptera dan Blattodea masing–masing 1 spesies. 2. Aktivitas serangga pengunjung bunga matahari. a. Aktivitas serangga pengunjung yang kehadirannya mengambil nektar dan serbuk sari, sebagian besar di ketahui berasal dari genus Amegilla , Xylocopa , Ceratina , Apis , Trigona , Megachile dan kelompok ordo Diptera. b. Aktivitas serangga pengunjung yang kehadirannya mengambil nektar saja, diketahui berasal genus Thyreus , Allorhynchium serta kelompok ordo Lepidoptera yang terdiri dari familia Hesperidae, Pieridae, Nymphalidae, Erebidae dan Hyblaeidea. c. Aktivitas serangga pengunjung yang kehadirannya mengambil serbuk sari saja, diketahui berasal genus Tettigona dan Blatella . 61 62 B. SARAN 1. Though Pigeon pea is a self pollinated crop with CR Satapathy cleistogamous type of flower, it is visited by an array of insects. Under agroclimatic conditions of AICRP on Honeybees and Pollinators, Department of Odisha, It attracted eleven species of important pollinators represented by family Apidae (45.5%), Entomology, College of Megachilidae (36.4%) and Vespidae (18.2%) all belonging to a single order hymenoptera barring stay Agriculture, Bhubaneswar, population of Dipterans and Lepidopterans. Species wise diversity indicated that Megachile lanata Fab. Odisha University of Agriculture was the most dominant one (29.1%) followed by Megachile disjuncta Fab. (20.5%), Tetragonula and Technology, Odisha, India iridipennis Smith (14.2%), Apis cerana indica Fab. (10.95%) Megachile bicolor Fab. (10.7%), Xylocopa latipes Drury (8.5%), Megachile hera Bingham (2.1%), Eumenes spp. (1.7%), Xylocopa aestuans Lin. RN Mohapatra (1.2%), Vespa tropica Lin. (0.8%) and Apis dorsata Fab. (0.2%). It is inferred from the present AICRP on Honeybees and investigation that Pigeon pea is an ideal crop supporting an array of pollinators, most important being the Pollinators, Department of M. -

Gonzalez, [email protected] Abstract We record for the first time for Colombia Megachile (Pseudomegachile) lanata (Fabricius, 1775), a bee species from Southeast Asia. This is the first record of an adventive bee species for the country besides Apis mellifera Linnaeus, 1758, the European honey bee. Megachile lanata appears to have arrived to the Caribbean coast of Colombia nearly half a century ago, reaching the Orinoquia region recently. We provide comments on diagnostic features to facilitate the recognition of this bee species and discuss its possible establishment in Colombia. During various RN Mohapatra flowering stages (69-159 DAS) of the crop the number of species varied from 5-11 with the Simpson’s AICRP on Honeybees and diversity index of 0.602-0.897. -

We start this year having seen From the Editor 1 enormously encouraging progress in 2013. Our different regions have started from BBSG Executive Committee 2 very different positions, in terms of established knowledge of their bee faunas Regional Coordinators 2 as well as in terms of resources available, but members in all regions are actively moving forward. In Europe and North America, which have been fortunate to Bumblebee Specialist have the most specialists over the last century, we are achieving the first species Group Report 2013 3 assessments. P.G. College, Kota, Rajasthan, India Studies on diversity and distribution of insects are pre- requisites for biodiversity conservation. Wasps and bees both play important roles in ecosystem. The present study forms a part of evaluation of Deoteema Doi hymenopteran fauna (wasps and bees) in selected areas of Kota. And provides information about a good Student, Department of zoology, assemblage of species of wasps and bees in Kota, Rajasthan. The present study was performed in two Govt. P.G. College, Kota, chosen sites. Site 1 was Government College Kota Campus, Kota and Site 2 was Herbal Park, Kota. The Rajasthan, India study was conducted from January 2019 to May 2019. A total of 11 species of wasps and bees belonging to 6 families were observed and identified during the study from both the sites. 9 of them were identified up to species level and 2 up to genus level. Out of 11 species identified, 4 were of bees and rest 7 were of wasps. Species were also classified as abundant, occasional and rare based on field observations. 4 species of them were abundant, 4 species were occasional and 3 species were rare. Results of college campus show that, among bees, Family Apidae was most dominant with highest number of individuals and Apis dorsata Fabricius was most abundant; and among wasps, Family Vespidae was most abundant and Polistes hebraeus was most abundant species. -

Fasulo2 Introduction in America north of Mexico, with two species found in Florida. Distribution Xylocopa micans Lepeletier is known from southeastern Virginia down the East Coast of the US to Florida, west to Texas, and south to Guatemala. The typical form of Xylo- copa virginica (Linnaeus) is known throughout the eastern United States southward to Texas and north Florida; the subspecies Xylocopa virginica krombeini Hurd is restricted to Florida from Sumter and Lake Counties south to Dade County (Hurd 1955, 1961).
