CTTCS Required School - 2020/2021 (rev. 7/10/2020)

○ School Shoes - For the 2020/2021 school year, we will be implementing a new school ​ ​ option. Students in Kindergarten through Grade 8 have two options: 100% ​ ​ ○ Remember that the entire sneaker should be 100% white (this includes the sole, laces, logos, etc.) ​ ​ Examples of permitted and non-permitted shoes are below.

○ OPTIONS EXPLAINED:

■ Kindergarten - Gr. 8: 100% White Sneaker Option OR boat shoes (see below) ​ ​ ​ ■ The shoes pictured below ARE PERMITTED, as they are 100% white. ​ ​ ​

■ The shoes pictured below ARE NOT PERMITTED, as they are not 100% white. ​ ​ ​ ​

New School Shoe Option, Gr. K - 8 OPTIONAL from September, 2021 until the ongoing future (never mandatory) ​ ​ ​ ​ ○ Sperry shoes are preferred; however, there are pictures below for alternate brand and style

options. Any style purchased will be accepted as long as they are (1) light colored with a plain

design and (2) have light colored (no black) soles

○ All shoes must adhere to the ones linked below. Absolutely no exceptions. ​ ​ ○ Links below are for the Sperry website; however, you can purchase them wherever you’d like

Please note that they must be (1) light colored, plain designed and (2) have a light colored sole

Examples: (These are purely examples, you can find these shoes in many places with a variety of brands) ​ ​ ■ The shoes pictured below ARE PERMITTED, as they are (1) light colored, plain ​ ​ ​ designed and (2) have a light colored sole

■ The shoes pictured below ARE NOT PERMITTED, as they are not a boat shoe, are not ​ ​ ​ ​ light colored/plain designed and/or do not have a light colored sole

must be worn with all shoes. (White, maroon, navy blue, black, tan: no other colors) ​ ​ ​ ​ ○ Low-Cut socks are not permitted. Socks can be ankle high or higher.

○ No designs on socks

or are permitted for girls in Gr. 5-8 as long as they are maroon

● Pre-K Shoes ​ ○ PreK 3 & 4 students: 100% white shoe is preferred, but any other sneaker is also permitted

● Phys. Ed. (Gym) Class Shoes - All Students ​ ○ All students in Grades PreK-8 are permitted to wear any sneaker of their choosing for P.E. class ​ ​ days.

● Belts

○ A black or brown belt (no intricate designs) must be worn when students wear pants. Students in

elastic pants (younger students) do not need to wear a belt.

SUMMARY

➔ Pre-K Students: 100% white shoe is preferred, bu t any other sneaker is permitted, any color socks ​ ➔ Kindergarten through 8th Grade Students: Two OPTIONS: 100% white (see pictures above) ​ ​ ​ or light colored, plain designed boat shoes with a light colored sole (no black sole).

◆ This will remain an option from now until the long term future.

➔ Gym (P.E.) Class: Any sneaker permitted. Any socks permitted, no socks with designs. ​ ➔ Socks: must be worn (no low-cut) colors: white, maroon, navy blue, black or tan ​ ➔ Belts: brown/black belt must be worn with pants; students in elastic pants (younger students) do not ​ need to wear a belt
