Maxx Hagan [Vice Chair] I am a proud graduate of Cardinal Ritter High School. The Michelle Edwards [Secretary] academic lessons from being a Cardinal Ritter student Cathy Cox laid the foundation for my education. Beyond academics, Jill Houston it shaped me into the person I am today. I began writing Jim Huntington for the student newspaper as a sophomore and continued Betty Legeay on to major in journalism at Indiana University. I worked Greg Merz as managing editor of the Arbutus yearbook there. After Sr. Norma Rocklage graduating, I taught middle school journalism, newspaper, and yearbook for seven years. Now as a faculty member at Ivy Tech Community College I have been the adviser for the campus newspaper for nine years. It has been great turn journalism, something I found a passion for in my time at Cardinal Ritter, into a ribbon weaving through both my education and career.

I work students of all ages and from all walks of life at Ivy Tech Community College. I promote daring to be different with my own students, whether they were sixth graders or senior citizens. This motto has served me well and I think it gives everyone a chance to be themselves. This opportunity is something I cherish from my time as a student at Cardinal Ritter.
