Our final production of this 50th season in June/July will be “Irene”, a wonderful comedy which opened on Broadway in 1973 starring Debbie Reynolds in her Broadway debut . You’re Invited!!! CyberPress 6 7 Ryan Carter (Alphonse) Ryan is not only a newcomer to WVLO, he’s making says that dance and musical theatre give her a vehicle to express her emotions and his very first stage appearance . Steve Completo (Herman) Steve returns for his fifteenth production with He has performed with Ballet Petit, Stage One inNewark and several shows with WVLO, his most recent was as Mingo in “Crazy For You” last season . He started StarStruck Theatre in Fremont . His most recent roles were Cat In the Hat in performing in WVLO musicals in 1977 in “Very Good Eddie” and has been playing “Seussical” and Pinocchio in “Shrek” both with StarStruck theatre . David thanks characters ever since . His most memorable was in 2003 when he broke his foot everyone for this exciting new opportunity . in “George M”, never missed a performance and earned an ERMA award for his Kevin Kelly (Percival Browne) Kevin returns to WVLO after a hiatus of over 30 portrayal of Sam Harris! Steve first did this show in HS with Lucie Arnaz and her years! And his life is still a “mystery” because the only physical proof we have of his brother, Desi, Jr . He is a semi-retired Office Manager for Telenet Semiconductor and parenthood is the beautiful daughter (Sara-Grace) that shares this stage with him . In enjoys costuming, designing period women’s hats, crossword puzzles, tap dancing the 1980s, many of WVLO’s old-timers helped his late mother, Marilyn, raise funds and singing Sondheim music . Since this is our 50th season, we must mention that to get him the musical education and training he needed to advance in his career . Steve was one of the original members of The Overtures! After he left the Bay Area and his mother passed away, we never heard from him Derrick Contreras (Tony) Derrick makes his debut with WVLO in this show, again until he auditioned for this show!! And then he wouldn’t share information but is no stranger to the stage His list of credits include “Evita” with BBB, “Big for this bio—so he’s our “mystery man” but we’re glad he returned to us . He is a current Masters student at Stanford studying but is no stranger to the theatrical stage, having performed in Leigh HS’ production Mechanical Engineering . There he was a member and Musical Director of Stanford’s of “Cats” and the LG Youth Theatre in “13, the Musical” . She loves villain roles premier a cappella group, Mixed Company . He earned his BA in Marketing was a member of The Overtures during its early years . Sara-Grace heads for college and his MBA in Business Administration and is currently the Senior Account in the Fall, but she doesn’t know exactly where just yet!! Manager with Avnet . Dave thanks his two “man-cubs” (Ryan-16 and Aaron-14) Carol Knouf (Lady Brockhurst) Carol is back for her “lucky 7th” production for being such great kids that keep him motivated!! Dave’s goal is to raise two men with WVLO, her most recent performance as Lottie Child in “Crazy For You” . with the strength and courage to change the world! That’s quite a goal! She had been the recipient of the ERMA Award for her Best Supporting Actress Sandra Henschke (Polly Browne) Sandra makes her debut with WVLO in role of Mrs . Higgins in “” and had previously been cast in our this production . For many years she worked and trained with the CTC and did productions of “Mame”, “Music Man”, “Annie” and “Meet Me In St . Louis” . She various work with other theater companies and schools before and during college . has also performed in several productions for SBMT and FMT . This native San Her most recent role was that of Abuela Claudia in SCU’s “In The Heights” . He also played a Detective in SCP’s “Grand Hotel” and has worked on Hank Lawson (Sam) Hank returns for his twelfth production with WVLO, his our stage crews for several productions . He was the recipient of the prestigious most recent in “Sound Of Music” in 2011 . He started back in 1979 in “Camelot” Jean Hutchins Special Service Award for the 2011 -2012 season and is currently and has been playing major roles ever since . He also played Tony in “West Side Story”, Billy WVLO, having just appeared as Everett Baker in last season’s “Crazy For You” . in “Carousel”, and the Pharoah in “Joseph…Dreamcoat” . Hank’s list of credits Previously, he had performed in “Sugar”, “How To Succeed…”, “White Christmas”, includes performances with Gunn HS, SBMT, SCP, Manhattan Playhouse, FMT, “Camelot” and “Where’s Charley?” His impressive list of credits include productions PYT and Tabard Theatre . The highlight of his career was serving as a HS Track & with FMT, SBMT, SVCT, SCP, City Lights and CenterStage . His favorite role was XC Coach, especially when he sees athletes that he coached becoming coaches and/ Christopher Belling in “Curtains” . By day, Chris works at O’Connor Hospital and or teachers themselves . Samantha Stidham (Fay) Samantha is back for her seventh production with Leslie Newport (Hortense) Leslie is back for her third production with WVLO, WVLO, most recently seen as James, the Lesser in “Jesus Christ, Superstar!” having most recently appearing as Yente in “Fiddler On The Roof” and before that as Previously, she appeared in “Sugar”, “How To Succeed .”, . “Breakin Up Is Hard To Margaret in “9 To 5”! Lovett in “Sweeney Todd” and Jack’s mother for their love and support . in “Into The Woods” . Bay Area audiences can see her next as Josephine Strong in Andrew Viloria (Marcel) Andrew returns for his second acting position with Los Altos Stage Company’s production of “Urinetown, the Musical” . WVLO, having appeared as Jimmy in last season’s “Crazy For You”, but he worked Joanne Rettberg (Veronica) Joanne is a newcomer to our stage, but has appeared a follow spot for our 2010 production of “Sweet Charity” . By day he is a Software in SCP’s “Grand Hotel”, Hillbarn’s “Mame” and LTSJ’s “Brigadoon” as well as QA/Assoc . Scrum Master @ Raptr . His future goals are to continue to perform, Woodside Community Theatre’s “Guys & Dolls”, “South Pacific” and “Fiddler…” visit every major league ballpark and to continue to travel to exotic places with Joanne is a registered nurse in a Cardiac Rehab during her daytime hours and loves his wife, Beth Anne . the roaring 20’s so she feels right at home .
