Handbook 2020/21 5 SECRETARY & MANAGER GUIDANCE General • The office hours at Bedfordshire FA are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. League Officers may be contactable outside of this on mobile phone numbers or via email. • If any club details change (ie Manager, Kit, Ground) you must inform the League Secretary immediately and this will be forwarded on to all clubs. • Referee Appointments - These will be made for the Age Groups U18 - U12. Please be aware that you will not always get a referee appointed due to availability and when you do not get one the teams should agree on someone to referee the fixture (usually supplied by the home team). • Toilets MUST be available at all age groups either on site or within the local vicinity, easily accessible from the pitch. If clubs have concerns over any venue being used then they should inform the League Secretary immediately. (Please note that while there are still some restrictions due to Covid-19 we understand that access to toilets might need to be restricted or removed for some or all of the time. We recommend that clubs confirm the availability of toilets when confirming the fixture) • Kick Off for all games will be between 9:30am-11:30am with a default of 10:30am. This can only be altered with the agreement of both clubs and any change notified to the League Secretary. Where there is no agreement the Home Club must provide a ground for a kick off between 9:30am-11:30am. (Please note that while there are still some restrictions due to Covid-19 the kick off window will be extended for venues where pitches have in excess of 2 matches on a pitch. Clubs should inform the league so that opponents can be pre-warned. Ideally the kick off should still be between 9am & 12noon) • Player Registrations must have been submitted to the league by 5pm on Friday via the WGS, have been approved and the player showing on full-time to be eligible to play on the Saturday (for mid- week matches by 5pm on the day before). Teams shall provide their registration sheet to their opposition on request, this could be a hard copy or an electronic version. Any eligibility queries should be raised pre-match with the opposition and advised to the League immediately after the match. • Teams may request 3 Free Weeks during the season giving at least 14 days notice of such (U18 & U16 teams can request 2 free weeks within the 14 day period). Where teams have any issues fulfilling a match due to players school commitments (Trips or school sports) they should give notice to the league at the earliest opportunity and the league will make a decision on whether a postponement can be granted which will not count as a free week. Short Teams & Large Scorelines Teams are reminded that Goal Difference is not a deciding factor in Youth Football and therefore in all games managers should not be attempting
