Trish Holdsworth ‘Never ride faster than your Guardian Angel can fly’ Page 2 Ride Co-ordinator’s Report 2011 Snowy Ride Gordon White Sunday 15 April - Captains Flat 13 bikes headed out of the servo at Watson for the ride to Captains Flat via Tarago, Bungendore and Hoskinstown. Alex Prindable, a regular on all the MRA rides, wrote the ride report for the website, and described the conditions of the road into Captains Flat, from his perspective from the pillion seat of his dad’s Boulevard M50. The owners of the Pub are riders, and are just starting out on this venture. Next time you are out at Captains Flat, stop by the Pub for lunch. They are a friendly crowd, and the meals are well priced. And, make sure you go upstairs and check out the accommodation. The rooms are very comfortable. Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 May - Eden Overnighter Our Eden Overnighter is coming up. This ride is at least 712 kms (341 + 371) in length but can be extended in many ways (See map on the website). It's for riders who are ‘ride fit’. We will be staying at the Great Southern Hotel (02) 6496 1515 in the middle of town. It has a few ensuite rooms and a big backpackers room where the accommodation is really cheap (and so is the privacy)! Book your accommodation and let me know that you are coming. We will be meeting at the Caltex servo at Hume at 9:30am for a 10:00am departure. Social Ride Report - Captians Flat by Alex Prindable, MRA ACT Family Member A total of 13 bikes met at Watson servo for a nice short ride to Captains flat via Tarago, Bungendore and Hoskinstown. About 10: 00 we all left Watson servo going up the bore-way to Macs Reef Road led by Gordon. When we got at Tarago there was a big group of bikers trying to stare us out of town. We had to stop at Bungendore for people with small bladders. After every one had done that we all headed off to Captains Flat for lunch. It got very bumpy the last five km heading into Captains Flat. We headed into the Captains Flat pub which was in its original condition, they only opened the pub up for us but a few more people came in.
