Vice President Venkahiah Naidu Launches India’s First Social Media Super App ‘Elyments’: Honorable Vice President of India, Shri M Venkaiah Naidu, launched an indigenous social media app ‘Elyments’ on 5th July 2020, through video conferencing. Elyments is a first Made-in-India social media super-app, developed by Bengaluru-based software company, Sumeru Software Solutions Pvt Ltd, in close competition with similar platforms like Facebook, Whatsapp and Instagram. India has more than 500 million social media users, but most of these social media platforms are owned by companies outside India, which creates doubt regarding the privacy of data and data ownership. The initiative is a step forward towards becoming Aatma Nirbhar Bharat and also boosting the economy of the country. Key Features of Elyments: (1) The app combine the features of popular social media apps and present it on a single unified app. (2) Social media Terms such as – contacts, friends, followers– have all been brought together in Elyments. (3) With end-to-end encryption, Elyments ensures that users data remains safe from prying eyes. All the servers are hosted in India, thus providing a fast and breezy experience. (4) It will provide basic facilities like: Audio/Video conference calls; Private/ Group chats; Secure payments via Elyments Pay; Public profiles that users can Follow/Subscribe; Curated commerce platform to promote Indian brands; Regional voice commands.     pib.gov.in “5” (Home-MHA) Press Information Bureau Government of India ***** Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah chairs meeting to review COVID-19 situation in Delhi Meeting attended by Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Delhi LG Shri Anil Baijal, CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal and AIIMS Director besides other senior officers Central Government committed to check COVID-19 spread in Delhi and keep the national capital safe – Union Home Minister Modi Government to immediately provide 500 converted rail coaches to the Delhi Government, adding 8,000 beds for COVID-19 patients Home Minister Shri Amit Shah - COVID-19 testing to double in 2 days and treble in 6 days Committee set up to ensure availability of 60% beds by private hospitals at lower rates and fix the rate of Corona testing and treatment – Shri Amit Shah New Delhi: June 14, 2020 Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah has said the Modi Government is committed to check the COVID-19 spread in Delhi and keep the national capital safe. In a meeting with the Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal besides senior officers, several important decisions were taken to ensure safety of the citizens of Delhi against infection. Shri Shah said, in view of the scarcity of beds for Corona patients in Delhi hospitals, the Central Government has decided to immediately provide 500 converted rail coaches to the Delhi Government. With this, 8,000 more beds will be available in Delhi and these will be equipped with all facilities in the treatment of COVID-19 patients. The Union Home Minister said house-to-house health surveys will be conducted in Containment Zones in the capital to improve Contact Mapping, and the survey report will be available within a week.
