Made For TV

Production for television is one of the most prolific areas of the Catalan audiovi- sual industry. All formats – series, telemovies, documentaries, etc – are picked up and brought to the small screen, as a response to the many and various timeslots that have arisen on channels the world over. In this regard, Televisió de Catalunya has been one of the first broadcasters in this country to create a specific slot in their programme wherein they have already broadcast more than fifty titles, and this has in turn encouraged even more of this type of production. Our telemovies and TV series, known for getting close to their target audiences, are also a nurturing ground for new talent, and their high quality has led to inclu- sion in the programmes of many international festivals.
