25° International Tournament City of Sassari (FSFWGR) Juniors 25° International Tournament City of Sassari (F.S. F.W. G.R) Juniors- Seniors Memorial Matteo Pellicone Sassari (ITA) May 29/30 - 2020 REGULATION 1. General Provisions. 25° International Tournament City of Sassari Senior (FS – FW - GR) Memorial Matteo Pellicone, will be organized by Polisportiva Athlon Sassari and Italian Wrestling Federation (Federazione Italiana Judo Lotta Karate Arti Marziali). 2. Date and place of competition. Competitions will be held from 29/30 May, 2020. Place: Palestra Comunale "Gigi Santoru", Via Rizzeddu 31, Sassari, Italy Date of arrival: May 28, 2020 Date of departure: May 31 2020 3. Participation. Nations invited to take part in the competition:all National Federations affiliated to the UWW 4. Formalities for Clubs Admission Countries can participate with more than one club; each club will be marked by a letter ( eg. Italy A - Italy B) but clubs will not be admitted to nation’s ranking. Each club must provide to support its own costs of accommodation and meals. 5. Technical conditions. Competitions will take place in accordance with the Rules of the International Association of Associated Wrestling Styles - United World Wrestling, in Classes and Weights: Junior and Senior (F.S. F.W. G.R) 1/3 2/3 Juniors Men FS. 57-61-65-70-74-79-86-92-97-125 kg. Tolerance 2 kg allowed. Men GR. 55-60-63-67-72-77-82-87-97-130 kg. Tolerance 2 kg allowed. Women FW .50-53-55-57-59-62-65-68-72- 76 kg. Tolerance 2 kg allowed. Seniors Men FS. 57-61-65-70-74-79-86-92-97-125 kg. Tolerance 2 kg allowed. Men GR. 55-60-63-67-72-77-82-87-97-130 kg. Tolerance 2 kg allowed. Women FW .50-53-55-57-59-62-65-68-72- 76 kg. Tolerance 2 kg allowed. 6. Refereeing Referees of International category are admitted to officiate the competition. All the referees called for the meeting must show the valid United World Wrestling licence for the year 2020 7. Financial conditions The travel expenses of delegations to the place of competition and its departure will be born by the sending National Federations. Hotel fares: €uro 73,00 per person, per night (full board); Room types: double, triple, quadruple. For a single room there is a surcharge of € 15 per person per day (limited quantities, only upon reservation until exhaustion). 8. Logistic Organization The organization will take care of the following services: - Reception and seeing off the delegations in Sassari; - Meals and accommodation in a hotel (4 stars) in Stintino resort - Sassari on 28 May - 31 May 2020 - Local transport on the arrival & departure days of participants, training and cultural program. Transfers by private buses from Fertilia Airport (Alghero - AHO) to the hotel and return are included for all the delegations that will communicate their date and time of arrival and departure (at schedule time for free shuttle service, point 11 of this subsection). Location: the Hotel is situated in Stintino, Sassari area, at a distance of 500 meters from the equipped beach. Hotel facilities: restaurant, bar, swimming pool, ( in order to carry on trainings before the wrestling competition it will be supplied with a math and a weighing scale ) In conformity with international federations: All delegations are gently asked to schedule rigorously with anticipation their arrival and departure dates as well as the program of their staying at the Hotel in Stintino, ( Sassari area ): Arrival to Sassari : not earlier than May 28, 2020 Departure from Sassari : within May 31, 2020 9. Awarding. Prize for the athlets: 1° Gold Medal - Diploma; 2° Silver Medal - Diploma; 3° Bronze Medal - Diploma; Teams ranking. The National teams ranking is determinated using the UWW regulation. 10. Admission. The entries must be sent to the Organizing Committee or Italian Wrestling Federation (FIJLKAM) as follows: - Preliminary applications for admission must arrive to the “Polisportiva ATHLON Club Sassari” ( address: Via Giagumona, 73 – 07100 Sassari (SS) – Italy ), not after March 30, 2020. - Personal applications must be sent to the “Polisportiva ATHLON Club” ( address: Via Giagumona n°73 – 07100 Sassari (SS)- Italy ) , not after April 30, 2020. - The final application must arrive not after May 23, 2020 at the same address, at least 6 hours before the beginning of the formalities for the registration of the official weight. 11) Organization: Logistics and Transfers: The organization offers a free transfer service bound to a time table, in order to guarantee a precise and efficient service, the use of the free tranfers arranged by the organization must be booked in advance both incoming and outgoing, in case of non-reservation this service will not be guaranteed. Arrival of delegations at Alghero airport, transfer to the Hotel Cala Rosa Stintino is guaranteed free of charge by the organization according to a precise timetable. No. 4 free transfers will be available, exclusively at the following times: • Morning: 9:00 ; 11:00 • Afternoon: 15:00 ; 17:00. Departure of delegations from Hotel Cala Rosa Stintino for Alghero airport transfer is guaranteed free of charge by the organization according to a precise timetable. No. 4 free transfers will be available, exclusively at the following times: • Morning: 8:00 ; 11:00 • Afternoon: 15:30 ; 18:00 NB: all delegations composed of executives, Team Leaders, Officials, Technicians and Athletes, who decide not to take advantage of the free transfers at established time by the organization, both incoming and outgoing, as described above, may provide by themselves and at their own expenses for transport, using any alternative transport (local Public transport Service, Taxi, car rental etc.). 12. Visa Passport: To get the visas, each delegation has to provide the Italian embassy in its own country the formal invitation of the international meeting, stating clearly all the names of their members. N.B.     COMUNI DELL’ANGLONA E GALLURA CHE ABBRACCIANO LA BASSA VALLE DEL COGHINAS VALLEDORIA Valledoria (fino al 1960 Codaruina , Codaruìna in gallurese e sassarese ) è un comune di 4.125 abitanti della provincia di Sassari , nell'antica regione dell' Anglona . Il paese si affaccia sul Golfo dell' Asinara , nei pressi della foce del fiume Coghinas . Il paese sorge sul sito dell’antico borgo romano di Codes , da cui deriva appellativo Codaruina . Nel medioevo fu sede della Diocesi di Ampurias , distrutta ripetutamente dai pirati barbari. Appartenuta al Giudicato di Torres e passato alla famiglia genovese dei Doria , dopo la conquista aragonese , la valle del Coghinas fu colpita da epidemie catastrofiche (secolo XV) che portarono allo spopolamento di queste terre. La ripresa demografica si ebbe, come del resto in tutta la bassa gallura , verso la metà dell’ Ottocento , grazie all’afflusso di famiglie galluresi da Aggius e Tempio Pausania che occuparono le vaste pianure deserte e fertilissime, dando vita all'insediamento di Codaruina, oggi Valledoria centro. Nel 1960 Codaruina si rese comune autonomo con il nome di Valledoria comprendendo le frazioni di La Muddizza, La Ciaccia, San Pietro, Baia Verde e Maragnani, il cui territorio era compreso nei comuni di Sedini e Castelsardo . Nel 1983 si è staccata la frazione di Santa Maria Coghinas divenuta comune autonomo. SANTA MARIA COGHINAS Santa Maria Coghinas (Cuzina in gallurese , Santa Maria Cutzinas in sardo ) è un comune di 1.439 abitanti della provincia di Sassari Il centro abitato sorge nella regione storica dell'Anglona , sulla riva occidentale del fiume Coghinas e ai piedi delle colline che delimitano la fertilissima valle alluvionale con una media di 2 m s.l.m.

Farinelli Independent researcher [email protected] Abstract: Sardinia (Italy) and Corsica (France) are two islands divided by a strait that is 13 km wide. Their inhabitants have had commercial and cultural links at least since the Bronze Age, facing similar historical processes such as colonization from mainland powers during Middle Ages and a problematic assimilation within the nation-states to which the islands are nowadays associated. Nevertheless, they are generally perceived and analyzed as separate and distant islands. This is a consequence of the geopolitical context of the last three centuries, during which Corsica and Sardinia have become part of two separate states marked by a troubled relationship. This study has two main purposes: explaining the case of the two islands through a historical analysis of the island-to-island relationship between the 17th and 21st Centuries and proposing the concept of ‘impeded archipelago’ to describe analogous situations. Sardinians and Corsicans have had economic and cultural ties at least since the Bronze Age, they experienced colonization from continental powers during Middle Ages and Modern Era, and they shared a problematic integration process in the mainland country to which they are linked with since the 18th and 19th Centuries.

    Eni starts production at 31-MW photovoltaic plant on Porto Torres industrial site, Sassari Porto Torres (Sassari), 10 February 2020 – Eni New Energy, a subsidiary of Eni, has opened its new photovoltaic park in Porto Torres. The plant has a capacity of 31 MW and was developed on areas owned by Eni Rewind, Eni’s environmental company, within the Porto Torres Site of National Interest. The areas were deemed suitable for repurpose and therefore for the installation of the photovoltaic park, with the endorsement of all relevant institutions and permission by the Ministry of the Environment. The plant is expected to generate 50 GWh of power every year, of which about 70% is for self-consumption by users connected to Versalis's network. Currently, this is the biggest plant built as part of Eni's Progetto Italia, launched by Eni in 2016, and it’s the second developed by Eni in Sardinia, after the first Assemini (Cagliari) project led by Eni Rewind on requalified areas. The project encompasses the whole of Italy and aims to develop and re-use owned industrial areas to build renewable energy power stations. This is in line with Eni's strategy for the energy transition and with the goals of the Italian National Integrated Plan for Energy and Climate. Three years from the start of Progetto Italia this plant is a major milestone in the growth of renewable energy at Eni and brings its installed photovoltaic capacity to over 80 MW, generated by 13 plants in five regions. The project also involves several compensation works, including energy and environmental projects in Porto Torres, such as supplying lighting to the village of Cala d’Oliva in the island of Asinara.

Alternatively cycle to Capo Caccia and explore the Nettuno caves. Day 5: Alghero – Bosa (50 km) Bike along a scenic coastal road across the cliffs overlooking the sea and admire the view of the gulf of Alghero and Capo Caccia.
