On June 15, we will be announcing to our entire community that ideastream is becoming Ideastream Public Media — the home of Northeast Ohio’s member-supported public broadcasting stations WVIZ, WCPN and WCLV. We will continue to be your source for trusted local journalism, inspiring stories and quality KEVIN MARTIN entertainment. President and CEO Ideastream Public Media Ideastream Public Media’s mission is to serve the people of Northeast Ohio as a trusted and dynamic multimedia source for illuminating the world around us. Our vision when our various stations were combined 20 years ago was that the whole would be greater than the sum of our parts — together, we would be stronger and be able to do more. Now, we are adapting that vision for the future by utilizing new technologies, growing our service and remaining committed to you. In addition, among a changing media landscape and divisions within our region, there are an increasing number of opportunities to bring people and conversations together. We will convene the community and bridge divides — not only through dialogue, but through innovative solutions and investments in local journalism. We will also continue to provide the local and national programming you rely on — including from PBS and NPR. Our transition to Ideastream Public Media is more than a name and logo change. It signals our evolution and symbolizes us coming together as a unified organization to strengthen our community. Thank you for your support as our journey continues. Ideastream Public Media does not sell, rent or share your contact information with other organizations except for necessary and normal operations such as mailing membership publications, notices and contribution requests, etc. However, to assist in building contributions from the community, Ideastream Public Media does periodically exchange names and addresses of its contributors with like-minded nonprofit organizations who may contact you by mail.
