Coach Ikaika started his coaching career at his alum, UW, as a student assistant and worked with the inside and outside linebackers and continued on as program coordinator and handled recruiting evaluations and computer breakdowns for the defense and special teams. As a student, while attending UW, he played free safety, strong safety and outside linebacker and was also on special teams. He was recognized as the hardest hitter on the "Huskies" and was the recipient of the Bob Jarvis Award as the team's most inspirational Player. As a junior, he led the team with 6 interceptions.
