"MEDIASET PREMIUM" NOW AVAILABLE ON TELECOM ITALIA'S IPTV SERVICE
From tomorrow, 4 March 2009, Mediaset Premium will also be available on Alice home TV, Telecom Italia's cable TV service.
This confirms Mediaset Premium's vocation as a multi-platform content provider. After the digital terrestrial and DVBH, the mobile TV platform, Mediaset Premium can now also be seen on IPTV, the technology which, thanks to a telephone connection and the performance offered by ADSL, makes it possible to carry the TV signal directly into users' homes. And Mediaset Premium has chose to begin with Italy's leading telecommunications operator. The Mediaset Premium offer on Alice home TV is organized in two packages. The first, "Premium Bouquet", features a high quality concentration of great cinema, first run TV series and children's programmes. As well as Joi, Mya and Steel, which are also available in their +1 versions, "Premium Bouquet" also carried dual-view 24-hour live coverage of Grande Fratello. In addition, for kids, the two highly popular channels: Cartoon Network and Hiro.
The second package is "Premium Calcio" which offers the best of the Italian Serie A, including the matches of Juventus, Milan, Inter, Roma, Napoli and Lazio. From the 2009-2010 season, the offer will also extend to include Premium Calcio 24, the 24-hour channel of news and background, and all the matches of the UEFA Champions League.
The Alice home TV offer will also include the catch-up service , "ultimi 7 giorni Mediaset" which allows all Alice home TV users to watch again on demand a selection of the best programmes broadcast by Canale 5, Italia 1 and Retequattro. Viewers can consequently watch the programmes at their convenience for a period of seven days after broadcast without having to record them.
