Each year we aim to tempt you with something different and this year we have a fabulous new venue for ISB Night. ‘Concert Noble’ is a beautiful suite of 19th century rooms, originally commissioned to host the Belgian aristocracy. This gorgeous venue sets the stage for a night of laughter, fine food, dancing and of course, bidding. It’s our most glamorous night of the year and we hope that you have a wonderful time. I am sure you won’t be surprised to hear that the organisation of the ISB Night takes a full year and as soon as we collect our coats tonight, plans will be hatched for the next one. The event is organised by a team of incredibly dedicated and hardworking parents and staff. I would like to recognize the amazing contribution they make and thank them sincerely. They do it because they love the school and want to give something back. (They also love a party.) One of the largest tasks is gathering the hundreds of fabulous auction items and thinking up new and creative ideas. The star attraction last year was the display of ‘International Baskets’ from our many national communities. The strength of our school community lies in its diversity and it’s wonderful to see the cultural depth expressed on nights like this. My thanks go to all of the individual and corporate donors of auction items. And of course, my thanks to all of you who will join us at this spectacular event in support of ISB and our students. I look forward to sharing a wonderful evening with you all.
